We had the most wonderful experience at Villas Colibrí Cozumel! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcome. Everyone was incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful, which made our stay even more special.
As a family, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, and we truly felt at home during our stay. The hospitality really stood out to us, and it’s clear that everyone there genuinely cares about making their guests feel comfortable and welcome.

We really enjoyed our stay there - the rooms are spacious, the pool area clean, the staff friendly, colours everywhere too! It’s a nice little haven away from the main road. It’s 10 mins walk to the centre, with plenty of locals restaurants, bars, fruit shops and shops around. The walls were thin so we could hear our upstairs neighbours a bit. Other than that it was a fantastic stay for us in Cozumel!
Originally booked here the day off via booking. We then swiftly realised the weather will be poor and the port might even be closed. 1 hour later we message requesting a fee free cancellation. I would understand if this was high season or a few days later and they lost business because of this but it was only 1 hour later. While this is technically their right via booking it does feel scammy and exploitative given they didnt actually loose anything. I would not want to stay at a place run by people like that. I am really enjoying this place. Evidently, they don't do daily room service, but they asked this morning if I minded if they went in today, so I guess it's ever few days. The grounds are very nice. I expected it to be noisy because of the location. It is not noisy at all. The price is very fair
There is outside parking for a rental car and they allow me to bring my moto into the courtyard overnight. It has everything I need plus and the people are quite nice.
Clients in Summer 2025, a couple. We were put in danger by the security guard who took us hostage in our room and put us with scammers on a Video call while my partner was just coming out of the shower. Hopefully we had local contacts. You might prefer a safer option.
Edit: The hotel is lying about it being another guest, it was their own security, in uniform. Believe them at your own risks. Security is at the strict minimum, a locked door and walls, no barbels when other hotels you have security checking every entry and patrols.
