A pleasant hotel with all the necessary amenities, a stunning pool, and a beach entry with a small coral reef. The staff is lovely and kind. It’s a bit far from the center, and the bed in our room was quite squeaky. Other than that, everything was great.

We have been coming to the Coral Princess for years and they were great but it has been going down hill for quite some time. It’s the death of a thousand (little) cuts. Of our five day stay they only cleaned our room twice. Twice they never showed up and once they tried to clean it at 3:30. We’d been diving all day and just laid down for a nap. It’s a “dive resort” but the restaurant doesn’t open until 8am. At that time we’re already on the boat and no place else to get breakfast. We tried to get beach towels, they had one. Two ice machines on the entire property and one doesn’t work. The lobby air conditioner drips. Instead of fixing it they just put a towel on the floor. The restaurant closes at 4pm. Who eats at 4pm? Etc. etc. etc. The staff is very friendly. It just seems that they are letting a once nice place just decline.
We really enjoyed this hotel, the service was outstanding. We were amazed the way they would flag in a taxi when you needed it. They went out of their way to help us track down an item left in a taxi. Thank you again! They were all very helpful and friendly from the front desk to the restaurant staff and pool bar, plus the staff waiting on everyone around pool and lounge areas. We chose the American breakfast and it was really nice. Eggs to order, bacon or sausage. Fruit or fresh squeezed juices. And a toast basket plus of course tasty hot coffee. You have more choices from ordering from the menu but at a higher cost. The swim up bar was great to have a drink and find some shade for a (not overpriced) beer or mixed drink. The drinks were really good. No cheap mix. Every appetizer we ordered was delicious. Swimming and snorkeling was fun also with rental equipment on site. The hotel was spacious, clean and quiet. The pool bar and restaurant shut down at 5:00. The upstairs bar was not open but not needed. You can walk over to Hotel B unique for food and drinks in the evening. We loved going into town and try out some of our favorite places to eat and then find a good band to listen to. For a mor romantic dinner we love Guido's, La Cocay, 987, Mingos, Kondesa and many more. Our favorite hangouts are Uno mas, Dicks Dive, Wet Wendy's, Thisty Cougar, Red Zone, Tony B's and don't miss The Pub. All with great food! Check with Cozumel music online to find one of the many great bands to listen to while you drink and dine. We have stayed at several hotels on the island and each one has its own vibe and difference. We really enjoyed ourselves at The Coral Princess and will be back. Smile and be happy everyone, your in paradise. 😎
First the good; the ocean view is magnificent! The restaurant food is decent and it's nice that you can sit outside and eat. The room was bright and clean with a small balcony and a large closet with lots of hangers. The bed and pillows were comfy. There were only two sheets on the bed so we asked for a blanket which we got. Our room however had no frig or microwave, and the water was unsafe to drink in the room. We were told they provide bottled water and were given one 1 l bottle of water for two people and when I asked for another one the man on the night shift said we could only have one per day and we would have to pay for more. Although that may seem like a small thing it really bothered me. A half of liter of water per person when you're out in the sun all day?? Also, just know that there are only two English TVs stations. The pool and pool area are very nice but the pool is quite cold. There is literally nothing around this hotel, so you would probably have to rent a car or taxi everywhere. Yavis are expensive here. We were only here for 2 days so we were pretty content to just chill by the nice pool. In spite of some negatives, we would probably stay here again just because of a beautiful view of the ocean and the decent price. We were in Cozumel for only 4 days and during that time we stayed stayed in town for 2 days and here at Coral princess for 2 days. We also snorkeled a little bit here.
Staff mostly super friendly and kind, AC works very well beds are comfy. now the bad: 1) was very difficult to get a knife and plate for cutting som fruit we bought - strange 2) the balconies are extremely dangerous with a massive drop from room level to balcony level you could easily go over the low rail - very stupid design dosnt make sense at all. 3) we booked for the sea access for snorkelling and while the sea is clear and nature amazing it was EXTREMELY dangerous with very very strong currents and repeat customers told us its always like this and there are never any staff or life guards 4) restaurant is poor and closes at 5pm and there is nothing to eat nearby so its a 10USD trip into town and 10USD back to have dinner which dosnt make sense. at this price point I would not return
