We stayed here for 2 nights to do Zipworld. The place is lovely if like us you don't like modern and prefer the olde quirky places. Room very clean bed really comfy (room3). We dined on the first night and it was so delicious we dined again on the second night. Breakfast was delicious and so much choice.
We came for lunch so I can't comment on the rooms/stay but I can say that the food is some of the best pub grub we've had! The interior is beautiful and cosy, our server was lovely and attentive and the food itself was just delectable. Fresh and local produce and you can tell the quality in each meal, the flavour was amazing- we had the lamb shank and the lasagne which were both phenomenal meals. To finish we had the cheesecake which was superb, it was clearly homemade and one of the best cheesecakes I've had... and i'm a cheesecake connoisseur! We loved our meal here and would recommend it to anyone passing by and wanting a top class meal and service.
My wife & I had dinner here after a day of kayaking. Omg! Amazing! What a surprise. We were craving fish & enjoyed the scallops for a starter followed by the local trout & hake with ginger. Was really tasty. I would recommend this if visiting the area.
We only went in to eat and the service was great as he sat us down and was very polite getting our drinks order and our food order as a waiter myself he was very nice not too attentive but just the right amount needed. The food was excellent home cooked very tasty. 5 stars 👍🏻would recommend
Really nice hotel with a lot of historic character. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast choice and quality was really good too. Do be aware that it is a fairly busy restaurant too, so if you're a guest and fancy a drink at the bar you may not be accomadated. Rooms were well set up with the expected facilities, only a 15 minute walk to Betws-y-Coed with a small car park.
