Recently stayed in one of the lodges at the resort. This is our 4th stay here and it was terrible. Standards are nowhere near what they used to be. The lodge was in a terrible state with ash from a bbq left on the decking, cobwebs everywhere through a lack of cleaning and inspection. The debris found under the sofa bed was disgusting. Sadly it will be our last stay after 6 years.

This hotel hosted my wedding and reception. The manager personally planned the whole event and it was perfect. The staff were sooo kind and hardworking. Top notch hospitality making my guests Soo comfortable. 100 stars for the chef , food was lush , portion size was unbelievably huge and 😋 tasty.(3course meal) And the after party finger food was a hit, I recommend the coronation chicken wrap anyday!oh and the sweets trolley was a show stopper!Thank you , thank you for making my dream Wedding come alive and magically perfect. What a lovely over night stay highly recommend. Staff went above and beyond for us while we stayed, coupke days before arrival I emailed hotel as we had breakfast included but that my partner had to be up before breakfast started as shes a make up artist and had to be at a wedding for 5am so would not make breakfast, they put her together a little breakfast the night before she could have on the way to her work, this little touch topped off a amazing stay. A beautiful location we cant wait to come back and make full use of the on site spa
A really lovely hotel built in 1872 and in an interesting position overlooking St Austell Bay. We attended a wedding and stayed two nights and whilst it has a small number of staff we were very impressed with everyone we met. The room we stayed in was spacious and very comfortable except for the shower over the bath. Plenty of hot water. The food was plentiful and well cooked.
Stayed in one of the lodges with the family and had a fantastic time. The accommodation was comfortable and well-equipped, and the views across the grounds are lovely. Dog friendly too, which was a big plus — our dog absolutely loved it. The pool, sauna, and steam room are great for unwinding after a day out exploring. The restaurant is excellent — really good food and the staff were amazing. The place has a fascinating history too, with interesting artifacts scattered throughout — adds a real sense of character. Everything about the stay was positive — the setting is peaceful, the facilities are great, and it made for a really enjoyable break. Would happily recommend and return.
