This was our first ever solo hotel stay with my two children, my son Jake, who is 6 and autistic, and my daughter, who is 5, without my partner with us. I honestly can’t say enough about how amazing the experience was. It was, without a doubt, the best hotel experience we have ever had, even compared to stays where my partner has been with us. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff we interacted with was absolutely fantastic. I mentioned that my son was autistic, and the staff were incredibly understanding, accommodating and welcoming. We were even able to check in early, which made such a huge difference for Jake. It meant he could settle into the environment at his own pace, and as a result he was so regulated and happy throughout our stay. He absolutely loved it. We had no issues at all, and we even went swimming in the morning. Seeing him so comfortable, relaxed and able to enjoy the experience made the whole stay so special for me. I genuinely wish I had taken the names of the staff members we spoke to because I would happily recommend every single one of them. Everyone we encountered was kind, patient and incredibly accommodating, and it really showed how much they care about providing a positive experience for families. As a parent of an autistic child, experiences like this mean so much. Feeling understood and welcomed rather than having to worry about whether your child will be judged or whether their needs will be accommodated makes such a difference. Thank you to every member of staff who made our first solo stay such a positive and memorable experience. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back! ❤️

Lovely stay with you, we were given a free room upgrade through booking.com & enjoyed a very comfortable time in a fabulous hotel. Breakfasts are delicious, offering everything you could want, in a very relaxing dining area. The staff work very hard to keep everything running smoothly, nothing is too much trouble. We also enjoyed a pleasant evening in Bells Bar & restaurant. Our server was Lucas, who was friendly, listened & ensured we had what we needed. We had a bit of chat & Lucas took very good care of us. Car parking can be an issue & my hubby encountered difficulties working with the app via QR code. It's good that we can at least park in front of the hotel for unloading & loading. If you are lucky enough to get a space outside the hotel, it is free, so that's a bonus too. We were also given a 10% discount ticket for food/ non alcoholic beverages in Bells Bar. A great stay - thank you.
The stay at the hotel was very disappointing. The only positive aspect was the staff, who were very friendly, helpful, and professional. The hotel itself is extremely outdated. For a room costing over €200 per night, the standard is simply unacceptable. Every time you flush the toilet, the pipes make an incredibly loud noise while the cistern refills. It is loud enough to wake up anyone who is sleeping. That's unacceptable for a hotel at this price. The carpets in the corridors are so old that they have a musty smell throughout the hallways. I would like to point out that this is not a reflection of the staff, who were excellent. The hotel itself is in need of significant renovation or, alternatively, its room rates should be considerably lower. The hotel has parking for only around 10 cars, which is completely inadequate for a hotel of this size. Guests are directed to a public car park about a 10-minute walk away, which costs an additional €10 per day. I arrive at the hotel, pay around €250 for one night's stay, and then I'm expected to walk around at night looking for a public car park and pay extra for it. I'm sorry, but these are standards from 30 years ago. I would not stay at this hotel again and cannot recommend it at this price. As for cleanliness, the bathroom was clean, and the room itself also appeared clean. The bed was comfortable at first glance, and the bed sheet and pillowcases were clean. However, during the night one of the pillowcases slipped off, and I discovered something disgusting. I removed the rest of the bedding and found large stains underneath. The mattress and the duvet also had large yellow stains, approximately 30 × 30 cm in size. It was absolutely disgusting. On the positive side, as I mentioned earlier, the all staff were excellent, and the hotel's location is very convenient, being close to the city centre. Thank you
We had a very good experience here. I was traveling with my son, his two friends and their mum, so they set up a large room for us with one king size bed and 3 twin beds. Inta at reception was lovely and friendly. She helped us with our bags always. We had a nice dinner at the hotel restaurant and breakfast in the morning. It was all very good. We also swam in the indoor pool and it was much larger than I would have expected. The location is great and the decor is modern.
This hotel was very easy to find, though it’s worth double‑checking the address since there are two locations in Cork! Once we arrived, we had a great stay. It was incredibly quiet, and we slept amazingly well. The staff were so kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. My only concern was the shower; the water never got fully hot, more room‑temperature than warm. If that were improved, the stay would be perfect!
