We really enjoyed the tour and the guide was super informative and helpful. Everything was very well organized.

Itinerary
At this point we will begin the visit. Here you can see the Statue of the Custodian of San Rafael and the Roman Bridge Gate.
Roman bridge over the Guadalquivir river.
Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, one of the primary residences of Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon. Enter through the main entrance gate and immerse yourself in the wonderful architecture of the palace, located on the site of a fortress built by the Visigoths and later occupied by the Caliphate of Cordoba.
We will walk around the Jewish Quarter to visit the Synagogue, Arabic market and bronze statue of the medieval Sephardic philosopher, Maimonides.
Visit the spectacular beauty of the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba, one of the most visited monuments in Spain. Conserving the decorative style of an Islamic mosque, construction of the magnificent monument began in the 8th century. Later extensions vastly increased its size, turning it into the second biggest mosque in the world before it became a Catholic cathedral.

Jose was a brilliant tour guide. Very dry sense of humour, so knowledgeable and made the whole mosque-cathedral tour come alive. A great experience.
They should know that the Alcazar Palace is currently not open for tourists - only the gardens - and I believe that the price should be reduced while this is happening
First half of the tour was excel! Guide and venue (Mosque/Cathedral) second half Azamara gardens and visit to Royal Stables were just OK.
Mosque Cathedral was everything I hoped it would be, Jose was a good guide, very interesting history in the Juderia. The Alcazar has been under construction for a year now with no end in sight - selling a combination Alcazar tour with that as known context is disappointing as a business practice, we bought these tickets recently, we got alternative experiences nearby in place of the alcazar.
Absolutely fabulous tour. Our guide Althea ( not sure that’s how it’s spelt sorry), was great. Very knowledgeable and managed to impart a great deal of information about the history and culture of Cordoba. Would definitely recommend
Our first tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly . We had enough time at each stop to see what we wanted. Our second tour guide was friendly but not as knowledgeable or the language barrier was bigger but he tried. At the end of our tour we had enough time to go back to the places we wanted to because we didn’t take a train or ride back with a group.
My first tour guide was excellent. I could not understand the second tour guide as well. I was upset because they offered the Alcazar which they know is not open and they still charge you for it.
Alcazar portion was cancelled (restoration) but the Mosque/ cathedral and Jewish Quarter went as planned. The Royal Stables was added along with the gardens. Azamara was a particularly good guide, knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
We found the walkie-talkie system was not very good - disconcertingly crackling: commentary often just “filler” of “ padding” to use up time between groupd
This tour is perfect for getting an overview of Cordoba, its history, and culture. I appreciate the breaks between segments
I thought that having seen the Duomo in Florence, St Peters in Rome and many other great cathedrals and the Sophia mosque in Istanbul that nothing would ever top that experience. This tour did A WOW factor experience - not to be missed
The tour guide was very informative. This was a great tour for a day trip to Cordoba. He even recommended a Syrian Halal restaurant that we couldn’t wait to try. We even left the tour a little early to be able to feed our little ones and catch the train. Thank you for such an amazing experience.
Paloma was our guide. And what an excellent narrator and informative tour from her. She is knowledgeable and a great guide. The tour is covers all of the best of Cordoba. Lots of walking but everything is within a few minutes of each other.
This was a little slow with the audio with a guide, lots of walking with no information. And then we would stand in one place for too long while she talked. I think more information while on the move and shorter times just standing around would be preferable. I do like Viator app. We did many different things and all were successful.
Great tour of the mosque cathedral in the morning with an excellent guide. However the afternoon was spoilt by lack of access to the inside of the alcazar and a guide who seemed to have clarity of speech issues with English.
The Alcazar and the Jewish quarter were interesting to see and hear about the history but the cathedral was maybe the most visually stimulating and religiously important to see a Cathedral built inside a Mosque. A must see!
Very knowledgeable and went at a pace to absorb a lot of information. Very impressive place to visit!
Roo our guide was very informative telling us a detailed history of all the main sites in Cordoba. The tour definitely enhanced our visit to Cordoba. There's a lot of walking and standing on your feet for 3-3 1/2 hours so you need to be reasonably fit.
This is a very good all around tour in three parts. Zahara was a fantastic guide. Cordoba is magnificent, a guide is essential.
The guide Jose was absolutely brillant. He explained the history of the Mosque -Carhederal in a very easy but enjoyable way. He took us from the 8th century right through to the 18th century. He was polite , helpful and interesting with little quips/thoughts of his own. Highly recommend this man via OWAY.
Friendly guide and knowledgeable. The tour was well done and all sites were interesting. The only strange thing was we changed guide for last part of tour.
Our guide, Paloma, was fabulous. She had a great command of facts associated with the history of the sites. Highly recommend this tour!
What a beautiful experience. The Mosque-Catedral and the Alcazar Amazing. The history well explained by the guide. I recommend it.
The guide was an art history major and very well informed. She was also very good at keeping the group together! It was the best tour I’ve had so far in Spain.
Very enjoyable tour with a knowledgeable guide. The Mezquita is stunningly beautiful and very large. Our group was a bit large and the Mezquita gets crowded. The tour can be a bit long because it takes awhile to see everything.
OWAY tours was very easy to deal with. We missed our train and missed the start of our tour. However, when we got there, the tour operator said “no problem. We’ll just catch you up for the next segment.” So instead of missing the whole tour we just missed one hour of it. And the tour was very good.
The guide spoke very quickly . She was inaudible. She just gave boring facts no humour or interesting facts . The microphone equipment was very cheap and nasty and again inaudible.
Did an easy day trip to Córdoba during my stay in Seville, and I’m glad I did. This tour is a great walk through the history of a really great city. The gardens and edifices were beautiful, and their stories were lovely. My group was lucky to have Azahar as our guide and I must say she’s one of the best I’ve ever experienced. Her passion for history was shining, she was organized, super knowledgeable, and incredibly talented in connecting storylines and timelines. She also recommended some great restaurants that didn’t disappoint!
The alcazar gardens were beautiful! It was a huge shame that the actually alcazar wasn’t open to explore so it’s a bit misleading, however the Jewish quarter featured some really cute storefronts and boutiques. The cathedral/ mosque was super impressive and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. I’d say it’s certainly worth the money but be prepared to walk a lot and stand for a majority of the 4+ hours.
Very well structured guide to the history of the Mosque-Cathedral and the Alcazar of Cordoba as well as the Jewish quarter was provided by our erudite guide, Azahara. She spoke clearly and with authority and we appreciated her ability to impart her historical knowledge very much.
Amazing sights with knowledgeable and friendly guide. Mosque a must visit for history and architecture.
As advertised. Nice tour. Easy walking for those with mobility issues. Very informed tour guides. Very interesting. $60 might be a little steep but it is 2026. More info on length of tour would be appreciates. Notes to not wear shorts or tank tops or flip flops can be ignored as our tour guide had on shorts and crop top. No one seems to care about bare shoulders, knees or toes in the cathedral after all so wear what you are comfortable in. Victor always has dependable tour companies.
Ruth was knowledgeable, informative, good humour, well paced. Right amount of detail
Be prepared to do a lot of walking, and be aware of the cobblestones. The tour was very interesting and informative, being from an English speaking background it is always eye opening to hear an alternative narrative on world history and events.
This tour covered some of the highlights of cordoba. The guide was very informative and gave an excellent insight into the history and attractions. The mosque was particularly interesting as well as being spectacular
Best way to see Córdoba monuments with someone who can explain what you are seeing and some of the stories about them.
If you only have a day in Cordova, this is the tour for you! My guide, Ruth, was amazing! She knew so much history and made everything so easy to understand. She tied all of our stops together so we could see the relationships between all of the cultures of the city. If you need a guide in English, ask for Ruth!
It seems the Alcazar is closed/partially closed, so the itinerary is a bit misleading . I didn’t get a response when I tried to ask if I could cancel for a partial refund as soon as I found out about the closure.
Great experience--thorough and made us appreciate area. Some things could have maybe gone a little faster in the heat (and some things may not have needed as much time as other parts) but am sure appreciated by others more than me. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and knew the history inside and out. Impressive and highly recommend.
You learn so much more with a guide. The trip was great.
Great experience with a very knowledgeable guide. Well worth the money x
The tour was good and gave us some insight into the history and culture of Cordoba. Enjoyed the Jewish Quarter and the Mosque and cathedrals. The gardens were amazing and so beautiful!
Fabulous experience! Our guide shared so much interesting history.
Tour Guide was exceptional and very informative. Took time to explain in great detail
Our guide Azara was great. She was very knowledgable and structured the tour very well. At each site, she would give us plenty of information, give us the opportunity to ask questions, and then leave us 10-15 minutes to explore on our own. I highly recommend this guide!
We had an amazing time on this tour, even though the Alcazar was closed for renovations. Athara (we think that was her name) was a fantastic guide. She paced everything perfectly, so we never felt rushed. Even though the tour lasted 4 hours, the time completely flew by because she was so incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. Thank you so much for guiding us through these magnificent sights—we loved every minute!
We enjoyed the tour. Our guide (Jose) was excellent. He was clear, informative and enthusiastic. Great way to learn about the city.
Josef was a kind, interesting guide full of enthusiasm for the places he described and food/drink that he recommended. We tried out his suggestions that night at a local restaurant!
The Alcazar internal rooms were closed for renovations so other activities such as visit to royal stables were included to fill in time. Unfortunately the 4 hours dragged on for too long. The mosque is the highlight but this constituted 1.5 hrs of the 4 hour tour? If your key interest is visiting the mosque then tickets are usually available this time of year (July- August is low season). Buy on the day!
