Local Wine & Cordoba Product Tasting (Small Groups)

We enjoyed the personal attention. The wines were delicious and the cheese pairings really enhanced the flavors. I liked learning about the different grapes and wine growing conditions around Cordoba.

The event was in a lovely ‘cellar’ environment surrounded by Spanish wines, olive oil and food. The host was friendly and informative and provided details and anecdotes for the 7 wines and accompanying cheeses that we tried.

We thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine tasting. We were made to feel very welcome and were very informative of the local produce

Fun, small group experience. Settling is indoors in a lovely setting. No sunset in view but the host, Gloria, was a ray of sunshine 🌞 She is very well versed in the world of Spanish wines, cheese and olive oils!! We returned the next day for an in-depth olive oil tasting which was an equally enjoyable experience!

We were at the meeting point at 10 minutes to 6pm. Cordoba Sunset Local Wine and Cheese Tasting. We could not find a tour guide anywhere in that big Plaza de la Corredera. We asked around, we stayed til 6:30 .. no guide!. We paid $93.64 for this tour. We want our money back. We have scheduled and taken other Viator excursions on our trip to Andalusia. So far except for today we have not had a problem. Please refund our money paid.

This was a great local experience. The setting was great. Adrian was very knowledge about the local wines and pairing of wines.

Fabulous evening spent tasting beautiful wines and cheeses from Cordoba, in a beautiful setting, led by the lovely Adrián. We learned so much about the food and culture of the city and had loads of fun. A must do activity in our opinion!!

This is a local, relatively beginner level introduction to wine tasting. Barbara was a very sweet girl and we enjoyed her company and anecdotes.

Great fun, Barbara is very knowledgeable about Cordoba, the wine and cheese. It was a great way to spend about 1.5 hours. Barbara also had great recommendations for dinner spots as well.

Super fun time with great wine and a guide with a great sense of humor. Would definitely recommend! Getting to take wine straight of the cask was really cool.

Our guide, Barbara was extremely charming and very informative. The wines tasted were OK but not exactly what I’ve been accustomed to living close to the Napa Valley area. I expected a different setting for the tasting. We were in a basement (cooler considering the weather outside was above 35c/95f), but not what I expected. I would recommend having a meal either before the tasting or after as the offerings are very minimal as far as cheese and other snacks. I was able to buy one bottle of wine, but wished I could have bought more. Overall, only ok, but Barbara was great.

Just finished this trip with Barbara our guide who was amazing. Tried some very unusual wines which were all delicious along with some fantastic cheeses. Had a good, but not too long lesson about the wines which was really interesting. Barbara was extremely knowledgeable and also really friendly and funny. Her English is perfect and so it made it a lot easier for us. It was lovely to do the tasting in a lovely cool area away from the blistering heat. I would 100% recommend this trip. Lasted about 1 1/2 hours.

There was no "sunset" feature to this event, except maybe the start time. Short walk from the plaza meeting point to the tasting room. We tasted 6 mediocre wines, but the cheeses were good! If I had it to do over, I'd skip this one. Although I enjoyed meeting the British family that also participated.

Bárbara was an excellent guide and clearly knew the wines well. The pairings of cheese and wine were super tasty. Highly recommend.

Mara was a wonderful host of our wine and cheese tasting. We had a private tour as we were the only two people for the tasting. Mara is a wine professional and truly loves her region’s wines and foods. This is an intimate, relaxed setting in her tasting room and highly recommended if you want to learn more about the wines and cheeses of Córdoba. Thank you, Mara!

There was no sunset. On the contrary, event was conducted in host’s basement apartment. No windows. For some reason host copped an attitude and was argumentative. I was only English speaker in the group of five which seemed to annoy host. Wine and cheese was barely mediocre. The whole experience was shabby and not close to what was advertised.

Booking via Tripadvisor very easy. Prior to the experience received what’s app communications from Mara with details of where to meet as the location had changed slightly. She then continued to keep in regular contact whilst we found the hotel which was gorgeous. Mara was an excellent host very knowledgeable about the wines and the food pairings offered. She answered all questions and showed a clear passion for the wines,foods and the whole area of Cordoba .I have to say her passion was contagious and we have fallen in love with Cordoba and intend to return in the future. The wines offered were things we would never have chosen for ourselves and certainly opened up new horizons. Who knew Vermouth was so versatile! Thank you Mara for a wonderful evening

We met with Matti at a small boutique hotel/restaurant for the wine and cheese tasting. She contacted us before because she had changed the location and gave us good details to find the place. It was a darling hotel and the tasting room was charming. Matti herself is very sweet and knows her wine. She gave us tastes of six different wines and paired them with cheeses. Her explanations were done in English and Spanish which she hopped back and forth from with ease. Our experience took about two hours and we left knowing more than when we met her. It’s was a good time!

We had such a fun experience at this excellent wine and cheese pairing in a unique location. Jose looked after us so well, he was a wonderful host and very attentive. We learned a lot about the delicious products Córdoba has to offer. Thank you Jose for a memorable evening.

this was definitely the best tasting experience thanks to my wonderful host Mara! as there was a special event in town, she asked me if I wanted to there with her instead and this was my best decision in Cordoba: i ended up not only tasting an endless variety of exclusive wines from not only Andalusia but also la Rioja, but also best quality olive oil, Bellota ham, cheese, olives and many more delicacies🤩 also it was a really nice familiar athmosphere where i got to know the producers themselves and other friends of Mara within the gourmet industry where they all share a common opinion: Mara is THE master of wine in Cordoba💪

We had a fun and entertaining evening with José tasting local wines and cheeses from around Cordoba. We learnt alot about Cordoban specialities as well as some local history, highly recommend :-).

Great experience from a soon to be Master of Wine! You get to delve deep into the history and the process of making wine from the Pedro Ximenez grape. You get to try all the different wines that are made from this versatile grape and if you splurge for the food pairing part your experience will be elevated to the next level. Would definitely recommend and would reach out to Mara whenever I'm back in Cordoba for more experiences!!

It was a pleasure to meet Mara. The first day she noticed I was limping and was so positive and reassured me that she too had similiar injury and I needed time. But woikd get better!!! The tour was very unexpected. I learned so much about the area of around Cordoba and the unique wines from this region…I also recommend her olive oil tour too!

We have fun, and we learned to venencia, from the barrels. We feel really important signing on the barrels and drinking the differents styles of wine in Cordoba!

Incredible city, historic area, ancient cascade, mosque, Alcázar de los Reys Crystianos, finally, a lot to see and enjoy.

I think here are photos that do not correspond to the place that the tasting. I met with Barbara at the appointed place. We went to the room for tasting and found it a little disappointing. The place could be more representative for drinking wines. She offered us a very tasty vermut at the end. Note 5 by reception, 4 p the wines and 3 for the venue and presentation.

Lo del atardecer no lo acabo de entender, nos metieron en un sótano, que nos dijeron que era el local de una antigua peña, fue todo un poco extraño

A super pleasant way to know the wines of this province, from the fine, amontillado, through reds, even vermus or Pedro Ximénez. It is not the same to go "bare-chested" in the bars, to be tutored and offer, and with a studied order, all kinds of wines existing. The pairing with cheeses is great. Another way to get to know Cordoba, I recommend taking a couple of hours out of your visit to try this experience. The location of the place they have is very good, next to the famous Plaza de la Corredera. I recommend it.
