Simple wine tasting with local selections and some snacks. Was fun and adfordable. Would so it again.
Over an hour, with four paired snacks, Francisco talks you through 4 of the local wines. His shop is small; there were 5 in our group and I cant see him accomodating more than 6 people at a tasting. We found some lovely gifts to buy there. The amount of wine that you get in each glass at the tasting is less than what you would get in a resteraunt serving. However, that seems to be appropriate for a wine tasting. Fransisco is a very good host and the hour passed really quickly. Well worth doing.
Loved it! There was so much information to take in but we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. And we came away with a couple of bottles, to share with family and friends, thanks to being able to purchase the wine afterwards.
Very unique to Cordoba. Wonderful trying the surprising wines and having the opportunity to ask questions and experiencing the wonderful pairings. Great experience!
Delicious and delightful! The wine and tapas tasting was absolutely fantastic. Great selection, warm atmosphere, and a host who clearly loves what they do. Everything was full of flavor and the experience felt truly local and authentic. A must-do in Córdoba!
Francisco was a great host and we were able to taste some local wines all made from the same grape but with very different characteristics and flavor. They are made in a process that is very different from what we see in Oregon. It was a very fun and interesting visit,
Cordoba is not a massive wine producing area. That said, it 4 different types of wines are worth savouring and enjoying . Francisco gave us a very enjoyable insight into the history and evolution of the wines and how they all differ . Cordoba wines are only found in the Cordoba region , so if you want to know more, then this is a great opportunity to do so !
This was a lovely introduction to Cordoban wines and history, with some tapas. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Lovely evening learning about wine from Cordoba. Some tapas included with the wine. The host was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Francisco’s talk and tasting was really interesting and helped us understand the regional wines. They were very different to the dry wines we usually drink, but we enjoyed the experience, and bought a bottle of Fino. Francisco also has other regional products in his shop. I bought a bottle of Subbetica olive oil and a jar of the Lanza olives he served at the tasting; I am now obsessed with them!
A great way to learn about local wines and to meet people. The wines and tapas were excellent and Fransisco did told us alot about the wine region near Cordoba.
If you'd like to learn more about and taste Cordoba's unique wines and some special Cordoban food pairings, this experience is for you! I learned a tremendous amount and appreciated the efforts to which our guide went to share his knowledge in a friendly way.
Fantastic wine tasting experience getting to know some of the unique wines from the Cordova region. Francisco was a really welcoming and knowledgeable host.
Tucked in a back-street in the old quarter of Cordoba, is a tiny wine shop selling very local wines, foods and gifts. The proprietor is an extremely knowledgeable guy who provides a warm welcome and freely imparts local wine knowledge with a charming enthusiasm. We learnt a lot not only about how the local wine is made, but also the local customs which attach to it. This was really interesting and provided a sound base for the rest of our stay in the area. We got to try 4 varieties of wine, accompanied by the correct pairing of tapas. The price of the hour long tasting was reasonable, as were the prices in the shop. Very enjoyable, thank you.
I love to do a wine tasting whenever I’m on vacation. This one was very unique, because the wines of Cordoba are unlike any in the world. Francisco was very knowledgeable, guiding us in learning about these wines with his expertise. The tapas were perfectly paired. I loved this experience!
I loved the small shop, the wines, the snacks. I leaned a lot of Andalusian wines. And the host was an exellent guide in the Wine-menu❤️
Learning about cordoba wines made with a single grape. Four wi es with one grape? I ne er would have guessed. My favorite …. The second one.
Our host was very friendly and informative. We sampled 4 wines and had accompanying tapas type food to go with. He told us the origin of the wines and was just wonderful!
We very much enjoyed our evening with Fransisco, he was very informative but also fun. The introduction to Cordoban wines was fascinating and delicious, he paired the wines expertly and helped us understand the culture of wines in this region. We headed into Cordoba afterwards and enjoyed the smile on our servers face when we asked for a ‘Medio’ - thanks Francisco for an illuminating and fun evening :)
Wonderful experience tasting regional wines that are not exported even to other parts of Spain. It is a unique experience that you truly can’t have anywhere else. 10/10
