What we wanted was a cultural visit and that is what we got, and at an extraordinary level. Definitively , the guide (Fran) is a highly qualified professional making the visit extremely informative. We recommend to visit this place out of summer period.

I took the tour con bookyourtour with the bus ride from Cordoba. Very practical if you do not have a car, the bus is easy to find and perfect on time. The guide is very nice and gives a lot of explanation on the site (better to take a guide in my opinion). The tour includes also the museum. The negative things are that you cannot spend much time on the site itself. Also the tour was only in Spanish for a Saturday.. so if you do not understand Spanish do not pay for the tour as you will have to do the visit for yourself
The tour guide began distributing the audioguides and checking the tour member list wearing his mask below his mouth (which is the same thing as not wearing anything). In front of him, a family of four (in the tour) was not wearing any masks. After seeing that the guide did not request the family at any time to wear the mask, I decided to leave for personal safety in order to carry on with the tour independently. When I later saw the group from afar in the complex, that family still wasn't wearing a mask while the tour proceeded normally. Covid safety is definitely not a priority for this company. When I called the phone number on the ticket to report the situation, I was told that my word would be confronted with the guide's. The guide falsely stated that all protocols were followed and my claims were dismissed. Do this trip by yourself and spare yourself the headache.
We just did the guided tour of Medina Azahara with SANDRA and we loved it!!!! She is super friendly and very, very professional. She made it super enjoyable and the visit felt short to us. We would have loved for her to have kept talking and telling us things!!!
It is very interesting to see Medina Azahara, which, despite being half in ruins, thanks to the knowledge and explanations of our guide María, it's as if you traveled back hundreds of years and could feel what life was like then. I loved how María presented the entire history from beginning to end with dates, names, and how they built and destroyed it, something that is part of our heritage and is good to know.
Our guide, María, was always very attentive and gave very clear and fun explanations. 100% recommended
The best part of all is the exceptional guide we had on our visit to Medina Azahara. Thank you Carmen for your good work and I hope to enjoy a guide as well-prepared as you have proven to be again.
Our guide Sandra was an incredible source of knowledge. Thanks to her vast expertise, she was able to take us back in time, expressing herself in both Spanish and French. We were very lucky to have such a wonderful introduction. Thank you, Steven Kindts (Belgium).
A very good experience. Our guide was Rafa, fantastic.
An excellently organized visit, in my case with transportation included. Maria, our guide, charming, pleasant and very professional Impeccable customer service Highly recommended!!!!!
Very good experience, Paula explained the whole story in great detail and respect for historical sources. It was also very comfortable that it already included entrance and bus tickets.
Our guide Elena great
The visit was great with the comments and explanations of our guide. I believe that visiting a place like this is pointless without a guide explaining how it worked and how the ruins were now visible.
Highly recommended. Rafa "the caliph" a guide of 10. I recommend taking a guided tour, it is much more interesting
It is worth the guided tour, as you learn many things about Medina Azahara and Cordoba culture and history in general. The guide, Laura, explained everything very well and made the visit quite enjoyable, concluding with good recommendations and advice. Had she made the visit without a guide, it would have been nothing more than a visit to archaeological remains of which she did not know all its details, so everything Laura told us very well.
We have made the tour departing from Cordoba. Very good organization, punctuality and also give you a headset to listen well. Our guide Miguel has been a 10. Very prepared and friendly. We recommend it!
It is a visit that promises to be interesting to know more about the history of Cordoba but they would have to add more content, 3D, representations etc... Fortunately we have had a Carmen guide who has tried very hard to explain what we did not see, you have to have imagination to make the visit.
Great!! Our route was Carmen and made us live the visit, transporting us to the 10th century. To repeat Great choice!!!
The tour in Medina Azahara has been very entertaining and interesting. The only downside has been the Waiting time to catch the shuttle bus, but this is the fault of the organization responsible for the Medina Azahara resort and not let you visit the throne room with guided tour. Carmen the guide, has been very professional and a great connoisseur of the site, highly recommended.
Our experience with EVENTOUR’s guided night tour was very disappointing due to its poor organisation. Upon arrival at the meeting point, there was no sign indicating where we should wait, nor a specific location assigned. To our surprise, we didn’t even appear on the list that carried the guide, which created confusion from the beginning. We felt that the group was too large for an overnight visit, with at least 30 people, which made it difficult to listen to the Explanations and Mood expected on this type of tour. Considering the high number of participants and little personalized attention, the price of the activity seemed disproportionate and not at all adjusted to the quality of the Service received.
A very pleasant visit, with explanations and exceptional attention from Patricia, our guide, a Cordoba with art Thank you.
We visited with Patricia the night part. It has been amazing!!!!! 10/10 Great place and best guide History, art and even legends
Excellent tour guide. Mamen was very nice, close and noted her background as an art historian. I'd definitely repeat.
Our guide Mamen very friendly and friendly, explains everything very well, we were hallucinated with the area. All perfect. Suitable for families and groups.
The experience was great. We were lucky to have Mamen as our guide. I wish they were all like this, trained, entertaining, friendly. We enjoyed and learned a lot equally.
Well organized despite the number of people who were very informative and also enjoyable and fun. Mamen is such a great guide that we signed up to see the Alcázar with her
Carmen was our guide. Better impossible. It explains everything with an ease that my daughters were delighted the whole guide. The little girl made it very special. Knowing everything he talks about, with the illusion that he does. It is essential to see such a beautiful and important site with someone as wonderful as Carmen. Thank you.
Wonderful visit, the resort looks stunning. The guide Rafael is exceptional, great professional and a charming person.
My partner and I went to visit the Medina Azahara. Our guide, Mamem, was telling us interesting facts, details and anecdotes of the place and the time. We were very happy with the visit and would definitely repeat again.
A visit to Medina Azahara with our Caliph of Rafa Guides. A guide that makes your visit enjoyable fun interesting and above all suitable for all audiences. Girls aged 3 and 6 have enjoyed it just like older people. Recommended 100% come to Medina Azahara and with guide. Thanks Rafa.
It has been a great visit, very kindly explained by the Pilu guide. We have learned a lot from the Muslim culture in Cordoba.
Very interesting and very pleasant visit, thanks to our "PILU" Guide which gave us explanation in detail of everything. For the training q have these guides, this profession is not paid.
The place is simply spectacular and more when they tell you what there was. The visit was made by Mamen, very friendly, explaining all the details, very pleasant and noticed that she controlled the subject. Highly recommended this Eventour agency, with very qualified, nice and friendly staff, that does a lot too.
Phenomenal Visit and the Girl Who Was Guided With Us, Was Honorary Enrollment, Knowing Everything Perfectly A Great Pro
Organization of the bus/video/tour of the M.Azahra, everything has gone great and all of this added to the fantastic explanation and treatment received by "Rafaé". Really recommended. Nice and cuts. All in perspective. In addition to explanations that make you understand the reason for everything you are seeing and what you are not seeing; which is also very important. Oh, and a touch of humor that is not missing. Thank you.
Very good experience. The visit is very well organized from the audiovisuals to the transfers to the site. For me it is essential to go with a guide; Mamen, in our case, guided us through the site, explaining in great detail.
The visit was great. It is a place that makes us understand what Córdoba was. The guide Rafa was exceptional. He gave us all kinds of details and clarified any questions we might have. Very friendly and pleasant, with a touch of humor that made the visit feel short. A 10 for Rafa. The contract was made directly with Eventour, it was by telephone and they treated us wonderfully, giving us all kinds of advice to be able to arrange all the visits we wanted to make. I recommend them 100 percent.
The visit has been very interesting and entertaining. Rafa, our guide has explained everything to us in great detail and in a very pleasant way. I recommend it.
Being in Córdoba, it is worth visiting Medina Azahara, especially with a guided tour. Pilu, our guide, made it very enjoyable and entertaining so that the time spent on the visit was short. We arrive by car to the parking lot where the reception is and from this point they take you up to the site on a shuttle bus and when the visit ends you get off on the same bus.
Frankly very good experience. Our guide Rafa, fantastic, super enjoyable and close, with explanations that everyone can understand, including those lay in archaeology, without rushing, making us see every detail. We live an "adventure" from another era. 100% recommendable, and if it is with Rafa, obviously better than better
Visit to Medina Azahara with Rafa. Highly recommended, pleasant and instructive visit. The history is very interesting.
The visit was wonderful, we were very lucky to fall into the hands of Rafa. It was not just a guided tour, it was an entire history learning experience. In many moments it made you feel that you were experiencing in first person the events that occurred in that wonderful place, the feelings, the sensations,... I simply recommend a visit to Medina Azahara and if it is with Rafa there is no need to say anything else. We will surely return when the Salón Rico opens to the public, this time it couldn't be.
Without a doubt, this experience has become unique thanks to the best of the guides, Rafa, who has offered large doses of invaluable information, seasoned with refreshing moments of witty humor. Great emissary of the Andalusian spirit. An essential activity if you come to Córdoba. We will return
Spectacular visit with Rafa. The very clear, orderly and enjoyable explanations, with a personal touch that made a 3-hour visit seem like 10 minutes. We will definitely return because as you have shown us, Córdoba is not only about the mosque.
It is essential to visit with a guide like Rafa, everything is very well explained and enjoyable, highly recommended. Thank you for your work !
Three tips if you accept them from me 1- Visit Medina Azahara (Madinat al' Zahara, or something like that), it is impressive 2- Do the visit with a guide, it is worth it, put everything together and you will understand it and see what it was like 3- If it is possible with Rafael even better, he is a good guide, entertaining and very educational
Very enjoyable and instructive tour, with humor and repeated warnings about the terrain we were on, which did not prevent an accident. We had a great time learning archeology and history with Rafa, a machine.
A cultural, enjoyable and fun visit. A place to enjoy the good work of a wonderful guide like Rafa. If you have thought about doing the visit without a guide you will probably be disappointed. It is a place where what we do not see is what is really important and that is why a guide, even if it is from Betis, is essential.
Rafa gave us a pleasant visit, with detailed explanations, in short, a marvel. 100% recommendable
We booked a guided tour of Medina Azahara and we were lucky to have the best guide, Rafa. He gave us a great history and geography lesson, making the visit super enjoyable.
