The tour was very good. Very informative. I doubt we would have found a number of the stops on the tour.
It was a fantastic experience! Our first guide (because the tour was divided into two parts) was Alejandro who speaks English very well. His knowledge is unbelievable, during the tour he made sure we understood everything and remembered the most important facts. Our second guide, Rebecca is equally as kind and helpful. Her knowledge and vocabulary was a little limited, but we got to see the Mezquita which is a great experience!
Saray was wonderful guide on our tour of the church/mosque in Cordoba. She was very friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. She was able to relate to us and share what was most important about what we were seeing. Being able to do this tour helped me learn and know more about the region, history, and architecture giving me a richer experience overall!
Saria , our guide was amazing. She was on time, funny, and knowledgeable. She made our trip to Cordoba memorable.
This a very comprehensive tour of Cordoba with Alvaro providing an in depth insight into this beautiful city’s history. We really enjoyed the experience and give it our highest recommendation.
Absolutely amazing experience with the Mezquita being the highlight in no small part due to Fatima's in-depth knowledge and passion for the Cathedral Mosque radiating to her awe-inspired guests. Brilliant
Great way to orient in Cordoba.
Amazing experience with very knowledgeable tour guides! The only bad thing was that the first tour guide did nit have the microphone ready. We took a little longer to begin the tour because of that.
Thorough informative space for rest breaks and fun nothing heavy! Guide was excellent. Make sure you find the meeting point the sign is behind trees and easily missed! It is opposite the entrance to the palace NOT the garden entrance to which we walked to get in.
It was a very poor experience I will never use you guys again my ticket Senator certain address and they gave me another address
This tour is worth the time and money. Rebeca and Maria were our docents and they shared their expert knowledge of all facets of the area.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and did the best she could in the circumstances but the audio was faulty despite replacement equipment for people. Poor equipment is unfair on patrons and guides . Please do better. Ruined experience for a lot of people. But an amazing place.
Was an informative tour of the Mosque Cathedral. And the Jrwish Quarter. Anna did a good job. And then the Alcazar was passed onto Alex who was much more fluent in English.
Very good tour! The guides were educational, engaging, and funny. Would recommend to anyone looking to see the monuments. The Alcazaba was closed for renovations, so we got to see the gardens which were also beautiful.
We booked the Alcázar, Jewish Quarter and Mosque/Christian Cathedral tour, which lasted about 4 hours. Emilio, our tour guide for the Alcázar and Jewish Quarter, was first class and couldn’t have been more helpful. His English was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed his commentary.
We visited Córdoba in July 2026 and booked a guided tour of the Alcázar (including its magnificent gardens and the Hammam baths), the Jewish Quarter, and the Mezquita. The first part of our tour was led by Emilio, while the Mezquita tour was led by Álvaro, an art history graduate. Both experiences were simply incredible and unforgettable. Emilio and Álvaro are exceptionally knowledgeable about the fascinating history of Córdoba and the profound influence of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity on the city's culture, architecture, and art throughout the Middle Ages. Their passion for the subject was evident in every explanation, and they brought centuries of history vividly to life. We learned so much during our visit, and I cannot recommend either of them highly enough. Their English is impeccable, making the tours both informative and easy to follow. What made the experience even more enjoyable was their wonderful sense of humor—they had us laughing throughout the tours while sharing an incredible wealth of knowledge. The Mezquita is one of the most breathtaking and magical places we have ever visited. It is truly a masterpiece that everyone should experience at least once. If you are planning a trip to Andalusia, do not miss Córdoba. And if you have the opportunity, book your tours with Emilio and Álvaro. You will come away with a much deeper understanding of the city's remarkable history and cultural heritage. Thank you, Emilio and Álvaro, for giving us the best possible experience of Córdoba, its art, and its culture. We are grateful beyond words!
Excellent way to introduce yourself to Cordoba and its history. One guide led us through the Mosque and Jewish Quarter and another through the Alcazar. Learned the fascinating history of these areas while being throughly entertained. Lots of walking, but we always had well timed rest stops. One of the most memorable tours on our trip.
The Mosque/Cathedral is a must-see! Patricia was an excellent guide, keeping the entire group engaged for the entire 4 hours. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend a guided tour.
Patricia was an absolute gem, very knowledgeable, professional and personable. She was very engaging, patient and very respectful. I would recommend her in a second.
Still waiting for ticket to be sent to me not used by son. Disappointing.
Wonderful guide, Saray made this a fantastic experience with her depth of archaeological knowledge and evident passion for her work. While the Christian Alcazar is not available, Saray made the Muslim Alcazar bath house come alive with her intricate knowledge. The timing of the stops was also very much appreciated.
The most important thing to know is that the Alcázar is closed for renovations so don’t book a tour that includes this . We paid for a look at the outside wall ! Having asked for a refund for this part of the tour, it has been refused. Will not use Viator again.
We had booked the alkazar tour at a time when the site was closed due to renovation. That’s not acceptable that you sell this your.
This tour was a joy. We were so lucky to have Ana Delgado as a guide! She was brilliant! Speaking excellent English and clearly knowing her city and its history very well, she took us on a very entertaining and well paced tour. We barely noticed the time pass by, while she expertly led us from one beautiful sight to the next. Great sense of humour, yet providing in-depth information, whenever anybody wanted to have some extra details. I am a city guide myself, albeit in Austria, and I am truly impressed by this very well organized tour. Highly recommended!
The Alcázar was closed for renovation and we were told 24 hours before the tour began. It’s been closed for weeks so that is just false advertising ! The mosque / cathedral was superb and definitely do that.
The mosque cathedral is the most mind blowing building. Full of Islamic and Christian and Jewish history and architecture. You can enter the gardens free and buy a ticket to enter the building. There you are met with Islamic arches, windows and columns while also viewing the Christian altars and chapels. A fascinating place. With many Muslim and Christian visitors among other worldwide tourists it still managed to instil a sense of peace and tranquility. The sheer size of the building is incredible. Well worth a visit
Great tour, our guide Maria was very knowledgeable and led the group very well with lots of explanation of the history throughout. Group size wasn’t too big so most of the time you could hear her explanations without having to use the headset. Unfortunately couldn’t go inside the Alcazar due to maintenance works so went to the baths instead, but La Mezquita was very impressive. Tour length was a few hours so not too long, but if you have trouble walking then probably not for you. Separate cost of entry to the places probably doesn’t come anywhere near to the cost of the tour, but you won’t get the knowledge from the guide. Very much recommended.
It was a fantastic experience, our guide Anna was so knowledgeable and informative. She made the tour super interesting. Wear decent walking shoes and be prepared for lots of people and crowds
Excellent tour for seeing the most important parts of Cordoba. The tour was split in two and Saray took us around the Mezquita and the Jewish Quarter. We loved this part of the tour and she was a brilliant guide. The second part of the tour was with Alejandro. Please note that the Alcázar is under refurbishment so this tour does not currently include the entry. This was disappointing as the listing specified that there is no entry to the synagogue but nothing about the Alcázar. Instead, we went to see the old baths and the gardens which were ok, but the tour lasted just under three hours. The last part was underwhelming given the fact that we expected the tour to last four hours, and the missed parts could have been substituted with more attractions, such as the Roman bridge.
This was a fantastic tour! Anna, our guide was fun, incredibly knowledgeable and the morning was a great way to see and understand all Córdoba has to offer.
This was the most disjointed tour I have ever been on. Firstly, we were not advised that Alcazar was shut. This was one of the main reasons for visiting Cordoba together with the Mosque/Cathedral. We were taken for a short walk through gardens, then through the streets to the Baths instead, which was not something we would have chosen to do. After this, we had to sit and wait for 15 minutes whilst more people joined the group. We then went through the Jewish quarter, which was interesting, but our guide had a very strong accent, and we understood little if what she told us. By now, we had seen little of what we had expected, and we were two hours in! We were then told to wait another 10 minutes whilst a new quide came to take us to the Mosque/Cathedral. She told us the tour would be 90 minutes, which had we not just endured 2 hours of walking thd streets of Cordoba, would have been fine. This quide was excellent, but once we were in the Mosque, we decided to hang up our ear pieces and do our own thing. It's not an experience I want to repeat.
Great tour, both guides were lovely and very knowledgeable. They told us so many interesting facts about the sites we visited.
Patricia was perfect! Funny, knowledgeable, very good English, gave us an incredible sense of both the Mosque and the Juderia. Would recommend 100%!! The tour of the gardens of the Alcázar, with a different guide (Maria) was very rushed, though. Her English not so easy to understand. That part not worth booking.
Alvaro was an excellent and informative guide. The tour was very long and we felt it could have been broken up better with two fifteen breaks. A lot of time on your feet and of course the Mosque-cathedral was magnificent and the highlight of the tour but it was at the end of the tour.
We had 2 different guides and could not visit the Alcázar because of restoration. Work. We were notified the day before our visit - surprisingly late given it has even closed for “a month”. I itself the change to the Baths and garden was NOT a problem we would have gone anyway. Our guide was excellent. And we were able to see the synagogue. The. The Mesquite - it’s 90 minutes. And you have to stay with the group (security) no wandering off. Lots of standing with our guide - we much is hard. Our guide struggled to bring it to life but was knowledgable. Importantly. The description said beer and tapas en route - none of which we got
Tour guide was very repetitive & spent too much time in certain areas thus not covering a lot of other things. Additionally, we were disappointed that day of the tour was changed leaving out the Alcazar replacing with just a garden tour that was actually being offered for FREE. Since weren’t told until day of cancelling was not an option. Refund request was rejected.
Pls leave US politics out of the tour. The history perspective was very helpful. The mosque / cathedral was the definitely the high light. Would be great to cover Roman bridge for 5-10 minutes
Ana was outstanding guide through the vast history and places of Cordoba. As of this writing, I am still trying to process all that was seen and heard. Due to renovations, the tour company did a quick pivot and offered the Bath Houses. This spot did not disappoint! I greatly appreciated the small window of a break to refresh. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to know the truth about Cordoba's multi-layered history.
It was a great tour with a 101 lesson in Cordoba’s history. Fatima was very friendly and you can see she likes her job.
Great in depth tour with Alvaro… he was knowledgeable It’s quit a long tour nearly 4 hours without a proper stop ( I would suggest a coffee/ drink break for longer) We saw the mesquita/ the mosque and the Jewish quarter and synagogue
The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, highly recommend this tour. It was long (~4 hours), but very much worth it. The amount of locations that are seen is an excellent way to get in-depth details and experience the Jewish Quarter and its buildings. If you have the time and want a thorough tour, book this.
Good tour, very busy. Guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Would have been nice to see more of Alcázar. Guides need signage language.
The group was way too big, not adapted for people with reduced mobility. The guide didn’t know where the elevators were and we lost time. The guide, although knowledgeable, was too technical in her explanations. Some context and anecdotes are key to a successful guided tour. Her microphone didn’t seem to work properly and she didn’t master the French language. We had problems hearing her.
This morning Emilio met us on the walkway in front of the Alcazar and gave us a beautiful introduction and background history of Cordoba and the Palace of The Christian Kings. We had an interesting discussion of the early kings who lived in the Alcazar and explanation of the process of architectural restoration.. We then toured the Jewish quarter and viewed Maimonides bronze statue. Another group joined and we went on to The Mizquita and Saraya was our guide. She also gave a good historical context and explained how the mosque and cathedral within were constructed. The Great Mosque of Cordoba is really the most impressive architectural building I’ve ever seen. Despite large crowds we had a great tour, from both guides. And the long line at Mizquita moved extremely fast. In minutes we were viewing that magnificent building and hearing about its unique history. Loved both tour guides and the tours were fabulous.
This was a great tour! We had two different guides for each part and they were both very knowledgeable. We had a great time and learned a lot!
I took the full 4 hour tour at the 3 historical areas but it went in a blink of the eye due to the exceptional guidance and knowledge sharing by Maria our guide. Her command and depth of English language is incredible as is her group engagement and inter-personal skills encouraging questions and posing thoughts to draw in the group conversation. I learned so very much about the history of Cordoba, its complexity but also of the historical importance of the city not only in Andalusia nor Spain but European and beyond. Maria is a true asset to her organisation and an ambassador for Spanish tourism!
Very informative tour of the Mosque, Jewish Quarter and the Alcazar. Both guides we had were very knowledgeable and they made the tour interesting. We learned a lot of history on this tour.
Highly recommend the guide. Information shared was informative. Could ask questions Meeting point was not so clear, but locals helped to pin point it
Maria did the first half if the tour cafe was fabulous. Alba took over with the Mosque/Church. He was so engaging with the history and passionate with the beauty of the structure. There was so much we didn’t know that both guides provided with their backgrounds. Well worth the experience!
