It was SOOOO hard to even find the guide. The meeting point was so inaccurate and we had to make many phone calls to finally find the guide after 15 minutes of searching. Very chaotic and inefficient organizing. Ruined my day.

Strangely, this tour highlighted some of the most significant historical areas in the country, yet it also has an element of an amusement park contrivance. We were expertly guided through this concoction with wit and humour and despite the addition of Roman mosaics [which were fascinating and not from the Alcazar]and 20th century gardens and water features, it actually made for an enjoyable tour. We were allowed to revisit parts after our tour so we’re able to go up the tower and revisit the real historical area of the Alcazar with the interesting tale of the King, his wife and the mistress [and her garden pools] without which, Spanish and World history may have been very different.
Didn’t get the email after web confirmation of the tour with TA. Therefore, we couldn’t change or cancel the reserved tour. There’s something wrong with the handoff between you and the tour operator. Request refund.
Out of all the impressive historic sites we visited in Andalusia, the Artencordoba visit to the Alcazar was the most disappointing, possibly due to the poor guiding experience. Firstly, it was difficult to find our guide before the visit. Despite only buying our tickets the day before, the meeting place information on our ticket had not been updated to the new entrance location on the opposite side of the Alcazar complex. We also had to ask a guide from another guide company where we may find our guide, as she was not obvious. Also during the tour, our group had trouble keeping track of our guide in the crowd. Our guide's standard of English was poor, for which she kept apologising. It was difficult for us, as English speakers to understand her and even harder for those in our group for whom English was not their first language. Our guide abandoned us after 40 minutes of a 1 hour tour, everyone in the group seemed relieved, as she really was not adding any enjoyment or interesting facts to our visit. After we had been left by her in the gardens to complete our visit ourselves, we met the Spanish group from Artencordoba, who had started their tour just before us, with their guide still in full swing and plenty still to see. Our guide omitted to take us up the tower, for which there was a huge queue, so we did not see the views from this point. The gardens are impressively aromatic, but quite unkempt compared to other sites. The Roman mosaics are worth seeing. However, it would be better to pay the relatively inexpensive entrance fee and do the tour oneself. If there is a queue for the tower, do not bother, but book a tower visit at the Mezquita-Catedral instead, the views there were fabulous and a ticket was just 3€.
Nice and short walking tour of the Alcazar (1 hr). Without the tour guide (Emilio), walking through the Alcazar would have been a bit boring since there isn't much to see. However, Emilio not only gave a really good and concise background of the history of the town but in each section of the Alcazar, he gave lots of great info. His English was perfect as well! Most of the tour guides we've had in Spain don't speak the best English sadly so we were really impressed with him :)
Viator changed tour after booking so was unable to attend yet they declined refund despite within their conditions. Full payment for nothing. Cannot comment on experiences itself but viator id good when simple but nightmare when something wrong (had once before too)
The trip was amazing! We had Patricia as our tour guide, she was really interesting and engaging. We learnt a lot of history. Patricia knew a lot of detail about the gardens and facts. She was really good and clear in her English dialect. Patricia took photos of us and was a really kind and welcoming person.
Absolutely fabulous visit to this UNESCO site. Our guide, Sauray, was excellent, very good humoured and very much in tune with her group. Johann who sold us our tickets was very good too answering our questions and booking us quickly at great value. Highly recommended 👍👍👍
The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable.... she had an excellent understanding of the history,................... .
Didn't even get there as a booked the wrong palace. It had the same name and the guide said it was an easy mistake to make! As soon as I realised my mistake I got in contact with yourselves. I may as well not have bothered as you were not very understanding
We were initially scheduled to start this tour at 1:00pm and of course went to the meeting point early to make sure we were on time. Ana ( our local tour guide) seemed flustered. She then explained that as of yesterday the Alcazar would not allow tour guides to skip the line. We had to wait until another tour guide got in the main line to buy our tickets. ( Perhaps go in the morning to buy the proper amount of tickets?) This is advertised as “ Skip the line” but today was most definitely not!! Also…. If you are coming from Sevilla ( or have been there in the past) and have visited the Alcazar there, you will be disappointed. This structure is NOT ornate and there is not really much to see inside. However, the gardens are very beautiful. Ana is knowledgeable. She seems as if she loves history and wants to share her passion for her country with others. She truly was apologetic and was unhappy with so many things being out of her control.
The title is fake… we bought a ticket that said ‘skip the line’ and when we got there we realized that there wasn’t a ticket for the entry… only for the guide tour?? Seriously… ?? I deserve my money back What a waste of time
Interesting and informative small group tour in English for about an hour. We personally enjoyed strolling the gardens a little more than the detail of all the very mixed architectural remnants on the site but an enjoyable morning.
This tour was excellent our guide (Ana) was extremely knowledgeable and informative of the history which was equally important as you could be overcome by the beauty of the gardens
Good English tour, very interesting despais the covid 19 situation. Ana, the guide, was very good. A lot of interesting informations. Thank you
A wonderfully explained tour with a very professional guide (Emilio). The truth is that if we return to Cordoba soon, we will hire again.
Novamente o grupo entrou antes do horário marcado em nosso voucher.
Even though at night, it's beautiful, I'd advise the day. The Alcazar is a beautiful!! It deserves daylight to really appreciate it.
The guide has been very polite and his explanations have been very enjoyable. He was concerned that the group would enjoy the visit m
Everything was excellent, the guide (Álvaro) was very friendly and knew the place very well, very pleasant in his comments and explaining everything in detail.
Bellissimo tutto, la guida super simpatica, era molto preparata. Ci ha fatto passare una bella esperienza. Grazie
All wonderful, the guide is very prepared and nice. It satisfied all our questions. It was very pleasant
We hired a guided tour of Arteencordoba and with our guide Rafa de la Cruz, it was all great! He explained many interesting things about the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos. 10/10. I recommend it 100%
Caliph Rafa made us an extraordinary visit, super recommended, very pleasant and with many historical, archaeological and anecdotal details.
Excellent explanation from David, thank you very much x share such extraordinary information. Congratulations to David for his extraordinary attention, willingness and kindness.
Oh, good. The Guide appreciates and very interesting everything. Although I think the price is somewhat expensive. The difference between free entry and the other is a big difference. But the truth is that we saved a lot of queue and on top of that explained everything. Rebek a prime of person
A good Guide, the explanation and historical summary was very good, and we could appreciate the Alcazar better, it was pleasant, rich in history, good way to explain, we had time for photos. I recommend it.
Excellent visit with a wonderful Guide Maria Carmen, combining competence and kindness, and who knew how to share her passion
Excellent visit. The guide was very knowledgeable and spoke to us about history with great knowledge. A great visit. Don't hesitate to book with them.
The guide was very friendly, very attentive at all times, and explained many things to us about the castle, it was clear that he had a lot of control over everything he told us.
Very entertaining. It allows you to know it in more depth. The guide knew a lot about history and explained it well. Greetings
The visit was very well organized. No problem with tickets, or excess capacity, or anything. Rebeca gave us a pleasant and well-documented tour, out of 10. I recommend it without a doubt.
Highly recommended visit, clear and concise explanations. I went with children and they were entertained, they made them participate with small questions.
Very interesting visit. I recommend this visit to the Alcázar with a guide to know its history and trajectory until today and if the guide is Miguel Ángel, much better.
The guided tour with Antonio José, a prepared and knowledgeable guide, was perfect. The route has been enjoyable and has many references.
Extraordinary visit, our guide Carmen was perfect, explaining in detail all the history of Cordou des Domaines up to the present day
Although the guide was professional, the visit is not worth doing guided. We also had to wait in line. Nothing positive about this tour
A beautiful place where you can contemplate the overlap of various cultures throughout history. The guided tour was good, but it fell a little short for me, I think more could be gotten out of it. The patios are beautiful, but the security team is somewhat rude and too scrupulous about entry times.
The guides have been very good. I recommend it without a doubt. I have already used these guides for other visits and they have never failed me
A nice surprise and discovery with a passionate French-speaking guide. A place that has undergone many transformations and adaptations. We didn't see the time passing.
We have done with them the free tour at sunset, the guided tour of the Mosque and the guided tour of the Alcazar. All very well explained and with much love for your city. To highlight Rebekah who was the one who guided us through the Alcazar, could not be kinder and more affectionate both with us and with our children, striving to make the visit enjoyable for them as well, a 10.
Juan Manuel's explanation very interesting. The beautiful gardens. The only thing, the queuing.
Unser Fremdenführer Ruben hat uns hervorragend betreut, witzig, spannend geführt, das Interesse geweckt Hohes Lob!
He has explained the whole process that the alcazar undergoes from its construction to the inquisition , I recommend his guided tour
