This kind of informational tour was just what we needed. It was casual, had great facts and easy to understand. We loved winding through the local streets away from the main tourist areas without getting lost. The tour guide was great and very easy to understand. We could stop for a drink at a local place, then start again whenever we were ready. I highly recommend bringing a battery pack, as the app and GPS used our battery faster than we would like. So just stop for some gelato, mid-way and find an outlet for a quick boost. Highly recommend this for maximum flexibility and a unique experience!
A wonderful week visiting Cordoba; we stayed at the Parador which could not be more perfect, overlooking the city and 4 degrees cooler, accommodation very comfortable and staff excellent ditto food. Wonderful large swimming pool very welcome after sightseeing in city. Temp whilst we were there 36-40 degrees, hottest at teatime but plenty of bars etc for pauses for drinks. No tips expected either in taxis or bars. Cordoba a thriving modern city now, very clean streets, tourists but not too many - everything efficient. The Mosque is amazing, good guide a must but does not need to be a large group (we were 12) It rates ahead of the Alhambra in Unesco terms. Everyone very pleasant and helpful everywhere. I have visited in the past and am very impressed with this modern city.
A good and comprehensive tour. The GPS location worked mostly. Best time to do this is the morning as most "patios" cited toward the end of the walk were closed when we walked in the cooler evening.
Voicemap is a fantastic way to experience a city without getting lost and without needing to constantly pull out your phone. Ben’s tours are absolutely fantastic. I love the way he fills up all the spaces between key places with all sorts of information you wouldn’t hear anywhere else. It’s very easy to drop and pick up again later which is pretty good when you want to take a detour into a museum or a bar. I highly recommend picking a quiet time of day to get the most out of it.
Excellent tour of the old quarters of Cordoba. Lots of information from the audio guide along the way. Loved that we could stop and re-start whenever we wanted to.
A really interesting informative tour, that goes around the little back streets of the city identifying places tucked away that add to the history. Definitely would recommend taking this tour, the app cleverly follows your location and plays when at the relevant place. Ideally need ear pods to not miss anything.
App easy to upload and find tour. We found the app easy to use and found the directions given easy to follow without using the maps. We did go wrong at one point but the app and map helped us to get back on tour quickly. Lots of interesting information and tips on the tour. Im absolutely sure that we saw corners of Cordoba that we otherwise would have missed out on. Will likely be using in other cities.
A very detailed, well informed, precisely structured tour. Easy to use and option to stop / start much appreciated
The audio tour was fantastic! We learned so much about Cordoba and its heritage. It led us through the whole city with ease and even brought us back on the path due to its use of GPS. A very good use of money, and if we're in a city where this has a audio guide, we'll use it.
You can go at your own pace, lots of info. We happened yo be there in very hit weather and were able to take our time. Lots if information, we enjoyed it.
Enjoyed the guide and walk. Had difficulty starting since we wanted to start a couple of sites into the tour and couldn’t seem to. I also had trouble going from trying to take a picture and then going back to the map.
This was a great tour. Gave us lots of interesting information about Cordoba’s history and culture while taking us on a roundabout but nice route we would never have found by ourselves. It is long, though - we probably spent over 4 hours including a few short breaks. The app is easy to use once you get the hang of it, and you can stop and restart the tour whenever you want. The GPS was a bit unreliable at times, so in a couple of places it didn’t trigger when it should have done, which meant we had to look at the map on our phones, but most of the time it worked fine and we could just follow the instructions.
The information contained in the guide was very interesting, and well-researched, informative and well-presented. However, we had quite a few problems using the App. 1. There is a lot of background noise in Granada, so much of the time we could not hear the commentary, even with the volume on the smartphone turned up full. 2. The map kept disappearing and we couldn't see where we were on the route. getting the map back was quite a palaver as I have thumbprint recognition and it wasted a lot of time. By this time we had taken off the headphones to be able to hear the guide and were sharing the one phone because there was no way to keep the two phones synchronised. 3. The route is very long and completing it in under 3.5 hours would be a push. We only had three hours and we had to miss a lot of the last part of the tour which was in our opinion one of the most interesting parts of the City. 4. Taking photos with the phone being used for the tour, was difficult as it meant leaving and re-entering the app. 5. It uses up battery power quite quickly and we were lucky to have battery recharger with us or we wouldn't have had enough power left to figure out how to get back to the bus station. Suggestions; 1. increase the volume potential of the app 2. Break the tour into bite-sized chunks of 1.25 hours each with its distinctive colour on the map. 3. Give each point of information on the map its own number with an easy way to replay if required. 4. Make it possible to take photos without leaving the App. The App has great potential but needs more development to make it an enjoyable experience. As it is at present we would probably not use it again.
Difficult to find the starting point. Not able to change the route. Difficult to restart when you detour or take a rest or stop to spend time at a location.
Great overview of the city. Saw a number of hidden gems I had previously missed. Easy to use and understand. Ben had a pleasing voice and volume of information great.
We really enjoyed this tour, we took our time stopping when we wanted and it was really easy to pick back up again. We definitely got to see way more than we would have done without using this tour, it helped us make the most of our visit. Would definitely recommend
