The Hunt For The Six Forgotten Giants

What a great opportunity to see the countryside and look for giants! Milad was an excellent guide. He guided through paths while explaining the areas we were in and was very responsive to the needs of the group. What a thrill to turn a corner and find a giant looking at you! Milad explained the meaning and name of each one we met. A refreshment break mid-hunt was most appreciated. If you want to enjoy nature and get away from the hustle and bustle of Copenhagen, I highly recommend this trip with Milad and Friends!

This is a small group tour, six guests max, which is nice. Our guide was very informative and easy to talk to about anything-very personable. We walked about 4 miles total on this excursion and most walking is very level trails other than a few had a little climb to get right up to the trolls but even that was pretty easy. We had a light snack, that he brought for us, at one of the stops-this also had restrooms available and was right next to a small lake.

The Guide was great!!!! Lots of great information and very friendly and knowledgable.I really enjoyed finding and seeing Thomas Dambo trolls. I don't think I would have found a couple of them by myself. I would highly recommend this tour.

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Copenhagen. Milan was a relaxed and genial host who shared his great knowledge of Dambo’s sculptures, love of the outdoors and life in Copenhagen. This tour is small and intimate with only 5-6 participants. We all loved trekking through the bush land and sharing stories the others in the group. The walking was very easy for anyone with moderate fitness. Cannot recommend this tour more highly.

Wonderful and unique experience! It was great to get outside the city for a few hours, explore the countryside and see these beautiful sculptures by Thomas Dambo. Milad is is very knowledgable about the artist, the countryside and Copenhagen - a superb guide. He was friendly and very personable and we enjoyed the strolls through the woods and anticipation of each find. The pace was perfect and unrushed. We highly recommend his tour.

We loved chasing the giants! It was a lot of fun, and our guide was great. We were able to take plenty of photos and the crowds weren’t bad. The one caveat I would give is that the tour takes more than four hours so leave yourself some extra time.

This is a fantastic tour and Milad was an excellent, friendly and caring guide. We had great conversations while strolling by lakes, meadows, on paths as we visited each of Dambo’s trolls on this tour. I was impressed by how much info Milad shared about Dambo, his background and goals and methods. I feel that this was a great value that we could not have done on our own. The van was spotless, comfortable and the AC was great. We had a great time getting to know the four other passengers and enjoyed our snack break by the lake and the great conversations. I strongly recommend this tour.

Turning a corner and seeing a remarkable works of art in the middle of the forest was fantastic. Came to appreciate how nature-conscious the people of Denmark are. Our guide, Milad, was amazing and we chatted about all sorts of things about life in Denmark. A lot of walking so be prepared for that. Bring water and dress for the weather. Good shoes. Paths were easily navigable but there was a fair bit of walking to get to each of the giants and it was sometimes a little rougher to navigate. A very family-oriented activity that people of all ages would enjoy. Thoroughly loved it!

Everything was perfect! Milad was friendly and helpful, he took pictures for us at each stop, and explained the history and how the giants were built. The giants were so neat! The natural settings were a nice break from the busy city, and I saw many birds. We enjoyed some snacks and drinks by a nice pond. The meeting spot does not have a sign, but Google Maps shows the building so you will know you are in the right place.

Very nice trip to native areas outside of Copenhagen. Fascinating sculptures. Moderate amount of walking approximately 3-5 miles many of which are unpaved paths.Highly recommend!

I had such an incredible time on this intimate Troll hunting tour. Not only did I get to see more of Denmark, but the energy of the tour itself was fantastic! The snacks and coffee/watered provided was such a great addition to the useful information shared on the Trolls and Denmark

Our guide Milas (sp?) was great! Very knowledgeable, very good at spending individual time with each person so the entire group felt seen, heard & included. If you are looking for an ‘off the beaten path’ introduction to Copenhagen, Denmark or the Forgotten Giants origin story, this is a fantastic option. At each stop for the giants, the walking was what I would call a mild to medium effort & I am about to get 2 knee replacements soon. There is one giant that is up a steep mound, but there is also an alternate path to it that is less steep which would have been good to know beforehand but I could also have totally missed that from the guide because I was distracted by dragonflies over a lovely little pond nearby. There is a rest & snack stop and other options for toilet stops My only suggestion to the operator would be to have better signage on the vehicle & meeting spot, especially for us solo female travellers. It was a lovely day. Highly recommend.

This was a fun, unique tour with beautiful scenery and really cool sculptures. Pick up was very punctual. We headed outside of Copenhagen about 20 minutes to start our search for the 6 trolls, had a great snack/tea break about halfway through. A very fun, enjoyable day with a great tour guide!

We had a wonderful time on this tour! Milad is a great tour guide, sharing the history of Denmark, in particular how this history connects to the giants themselves. Milad took us on a great hike, was considerate of others walking styles and had a small lunch prepared for us. We have family visiting Copenhagen in the Fall, we will definitely be recommending this tour to them.

Such a fun day trip. Our guide was friendly, easygoing, and informative. He drive safely and spoke English beautifully. Nice, relaxing music in the car, too. Best troll hunt ever!

We had a great tour guide and 3 others who join us on our adventure. We were well entertained and the pace was leisurely. Tea, coffee and snacks was an added bonus. My only suggestion would be to have the pick up somewhere closer to city center for us tourists.

This trip is definitely worth going to visit these Thomas Dambo trolls! Our guide was fabulous & knowledgable. I’m so glad that the weather is sunny & breezy when we were there. Also, you’ll need to bring an extra pair of flip flop because you’ll need to walk on the beach, unless if you don’t mind the sand gets inside your sneakers or hiking boots… Anyway, there are nearly 20 trolls in Copenhagen, but I found another hippie troll in Freetown on the next day.

We had a great time seeing the 6 forgotten trolls. A little snack stop in the middle. You drive from location to location but some of the trolls have a bit of a walk so be prepared to log some steps!

We had a great time on this tour. We got to see parts of Copenhagen we would never have experienced on our own, and the trolls were spectacular. The story behind their creation and care is a wonderful story of the city. We enjoyed the walks to find each troll along with the views and locations. This was well organised, friendly, and well paced.

The trolls are amazing! Read the description carefully. This isn't a walk and it isn't a hike. It's a jog, through sand. "proper footwear" doesn't mean athletic shoes. It means heavy duty hiking boots and fitness required to climb mountains. The slog across the beach was unnecessary and exhausting. Believing that you are in shape isn't enough. You will be mocked by the guide and by others on the trip if they feel like it. Not a thing you can do but suck it up and keep trying. The trolls are amazing, the stories about the trolls are amazing Would I go again? Yes, I would, love the trolls I would take more tissues so I could clean my cheeks as the inevitable tears fell

I had an amazing time on this trip. The guide was a former teacher, so he could tell stories and stayed engaged with everyone. Hey chatted with each of the families making sure everyone felt apart of the group. I would highly recommend this trip.

Hard walk. More like a jog sometimes, when you’re a short person. Slogging through sand on the beach is brutal - be sure you are ready! The trolls are everything you could hope for & more. The guide offers fun stories for each one. Would absolutely do this again. Also think I’m going to start hunting other trolls

My husband and I booked a private tour with Milad to see the Dambo giant trolls and can highly recommend this experience. Milad is a very safe driver as well as being engaging and interesting. We enjoyed spending several hours with him. We'd seen many of the trolls in various locations, including the 2 in Copenhagen, but I think it may have been challenging to find all of these on our own even with a car. We had opportunities to relax and drink tea, and the walks weren't challenging (we're both seniors). The weather wasn't as pleasant as we would have liked, however, it didn't dampen our enthusiasm for the tour. We highly recommend also seeing Green George in Christiania and Kaptajn Nalle in Nordhavn. Green George is easy to find. Kaptajn Nalle is more challenging, but worth the effort. If you head towards the Odds & Ends Cafe near the Museum Tunnelfabrikken, there's a small dirt road that runs parallel to Oceanvej beyond the fence off to the right of the museum. You'll spot the troll from the road and will have to walk through a field to reach him.

Perfect mom and teenage daughter day! We had a great time! The walk to each giant was unique and beautiful. Our guide was amazing and the tour was small and intimate.

I had a great time on The Hunt for the Forgotten Giants! This adventure really brought out my inner child as I explored the hidden trolls. The creativity in using reclaimed wood for these sculptures is impressive, and they fit perfectly into the natural surroundings. It's a nice escape from the city center, letting you enjoy the outdoors while searching for these quirky giants. Milad was super nice, offering us tea and coffee with some snacks during the break, which made the whole experience even better. If you're looking for a fun and unique activity in Copenhagen, I highly recommend this!

This was a great tour to see totally unique sights of the trolls by Thomas Dambo. The tour guide, Milad was great both with very pleasant personality and good time management . This 67 year old enjoyed it throughly.

This was a great half day trip to see these incredible wooden trolls hiding in Copenhagen's parks and forests. Milad was a great guide, very friendly and informative. There were a few walking wounded amongst us and he allowed time for slower walkers.

Very nice personal tour. Small group so you get to know one another. There is quite a bit of walking so consider that before vooking.

Hygge. This tour sums it up perfectly. A small group, great people, fantastic destinations in the country side and the absolute catalyst was sitting in a super cute hut under the trees by a lake with the rain falling sipping hot tea and enjoying biscuits. The trolls themselves were fabulous, so big, so hidden Md so prefect.
