My friend and I had a wonderful 2-hour tour of Copenhagen with Mikel, and would not hesitate to book another one. This was our first time on a Segway and now I want to ride them everywhere. It was so fun! We covered a lot more sights than if we had been on foot. We enjoyed the chance to stop and take photos. I did not want it to end. This was a great way to see a lot of highlights on a one-day shore excursion. Our cruise ship was not docked at the port near the venue so we needed to arrange transportation but it was well worth it.

Itinerary
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour start for check-in & training. Here you will receive your helmet, radio, sign our waiver of liability and meet your guide. You will then receive individual instructions in how to ride a Segway on our spacious training ground right behind our store. Don't worry if you haven't tried it before - it's super easy and we begin the tour in a car-free zone
Welcome to our training ground and one of the hidden gems of Copenhagen - hmm guess we just revealed a secret :)
After 5 minutes we will already see the famous lady of Copenhagen: The Little Mermaid. Our first major sight and there's of course a photo stop whilst your guide will explain the interesting story behind her, and it's not all a fairytale!
As we cruise in a great car-free zone we will also pass Holmen on the other side of the water - you will learn about many of the maritime monuments and some fun stories. Please note though that you will be able to see all the sights but we will not go cross the water onto Holmen
We will drive right through the Langelinie Park
The Amalie Garden is a cute little garden in front of the Royal Palace
The old customs area is the perfect waterfront spot to show and tell you a lot about the maritime stories. You will also see the Royal Pavillons where the Queen departs from on her sailing trips along with the Maersk Headquarters
The Royal Cast collections has two unique statues outside which we will pass - one you can't miss
We will drive right around the Royal Play House - a fairly new company in Copenhagen with an eco-friendly approach
Nyhavn is the most iconic place in Copenhagen with its colourful and old buildings. You will really feel the atmosphere of Copenhagen whilst cruising through Nyhavn, and we will also show you where a few famous Danes have/are living. There is of course a photo stop included at Nyhavn.
As we embark into the inner city of Copenhagen you will see the inner harbour bridge a.k.a. the kissing bridge which was made just for pedestrians and cyclists
The Royal Opera House in Copenhagen is a beautiful building you can't miss. Your guide will tell you about the Opera House and we'll make a photo stop at Ofelia Square where you of course can get a great picture with the water and Opera House in the background. Quite picturesque. Please note that we will not cross the water to go to the Opera House
By this time you will have already seen so much of Copenhagen whilst cruising through the city in a no-car zone. At Ofelia Plads you will get a great photo opportunity with the Royal Opera House in the background before we continue to the Royal Playhouse
We will pass right through our impressive Parliament located inside Christiansborg Palace. There will of course be a photo stop in front of the main staircase if you wish.
We will pass the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek as we drive in towards the cosy backstreets
Our Saviours Church is recognisable with its spiral staircase on the top. We will see this building on Christianshavn as we cruise down Havnegade - please note that we will not drive over to the church.
After Nyhavn we continue into towards the inner city where we will see much more including The Old Custom House, The National Bank, The Black Diamond, and much more
We will cruise through the 'hyggelig' and charming streets of Copenhagen in the Latin Quarter
Nikolaj Art Exhibition is an old church we will pass as we head towards Kings New Square
City Hall Square, Tivoli, The New Carlsberg Glyptotek are great monuments which we will cruise by
'Kongens Nytorv' = The King's New Square is considered the midpoint of Copenhagen
Frederik's Church (The Marble Church) is a beautiful monument you'll see right before we head towards the Royal Palace. If you want a photo stop please just let your guide know
After our cafe stop we continue down the artsy Bredgade towards the Queen's Residence at Amalienborg Palace. We will drive right up onto the square and wave to her Majesty. We will of course also do a photo stop here in front of the impressive buildings.
When we reach the Royal Danish Theatre on Kongens Nytorv, we will make a short cafe stop at the cafe inside the Theatre. Here we have some special prices exclusively to our Segway cruisers. You can sample some great organic beverages or cakes, if you wish (no purchase necessary).
You will be able to see the many amusements as you pass by Tivoli Gardens. Please note that we will not enter the park
The Gefion Fountain and Gefion Bridge is a beautiful square and once the water is running we know it's a sign of summertime in Copenhagen!
The English Church in Copenhagen is a cute landmark hidden away in the Churchill park
The Citadel is such a unique landmark in Copenhagen - the fortress from the 1600's is still an active military site and we will cruise right through it
Your tour will now have ended and we are back at the Segway Cruise Copenhagen store. You will hand in your helmet & radio. You are more than welcome to join your guide for a complimentary organic beverage and we have a fun Segway souvenir for you. Many guests stay and enjoy the waterfront view - and you are very welcome to do so as well.

No, you will NOT plummet face first into a hard surface the moment you step onto a Segway and if you do, you have to try REAL hard to accomplish that. I'd never been on one before and wasn't sure what to expect. Mikkel was patient and explained everything very thoroughly in a practice area before we even hit the roads. We were each provided with a little ear radio so we could hear everything he had to say along the route. The first 30 minutes were harsh on the feet due to how firmly they need to be planted, but it eventually eased off. It was fun zipping along, seeing the sights, getting to take photos, and hear the history of where we were. Halfway through the tour, most of our group was comfortable enough to take photos and selfies WHILE zipping along on the Segway - so you do get used to it fairly quickly. This was definitely a more fun option than a walking tour so if you're up for it, highly recommend! I held back on how many photos I shared. You'll just have to go see for yourself! Also - there's a burger place right next door (Hungry Dane Burgers) that has really good food so stop in there once you're done.
I had such a great time on this Segway tour of Copenhagen! Pierre was a fantastic guide, friendly, funny and full of great stories about the city. I loved the way he brought the places we visited to life, sharing interesting bits of history and local stories as we went. The Segway was a brilliant way to see so much of Copenhagen, and the whole tour felt relaxed, fun and really well organised. Pierre made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves, and his personality really added to the experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would happily recommend Pierre to anyone visiting Copenhagen. A great guide, a great tour and a really memorable way to see the city!
I thought a Segway would be hard to master but it wasn't! My husband is over 80 with balance issues and he did great. Pierre took his time to make sure we were all comfortable with the Segway. And he let us practice before we ever started the tour. This Segway tour is one of the highlights of our trip.

Learning to Segway was a lot of fun if a little intimidating. Our guide, Louisa was excellent and the headsets made it easy to hear all of the history of Copenhagen
Fantastic and fun way to see the city. Would recommend! Great to have the ear piece too so we knew what was going on as Segway-ing around 😀
We had a great segway experience with Pierre, learned a lot about Copenhagen and how it relates to Danish culture. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and a great and patient Segway teacher for first timers.
Pierre did an outstanding job as our tour guide. He was knowledgeable, kind and patient. Pierre has a great personality and we noticed that he took pride in his job. Thank you Pierre!! John and Natalie Faulkner
Sabina was a great tour guide and we learned a lot about Copenhagen. The wind was howling but everything went smoothly and we all were able to hear her.
We had a great tour and took some good pictures. Training and instruction was in a nice and safe area near by. All in all a super experience!
Loved this segway tour of Copenhagen! Our tour guide Mikkel was amazing. He was a great instructor on the use of the segways and provided lots of interesting info about the sites of Copenhagen. The route we took was excellent. Highly recommend this tour!
We visited lovely Copenhagen on the P&O cruise ship Britannia in July 2023 and booked the Segway tour as a shore excursion. Quite simply it was excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our guide/instructor Vanessa was so good and while we were total newcomers to a Segway, she had us buzzing around in no time. Segways are so easy to manage, suffice it to say that on this, our first trip, Vanessa took us through the centre of Copenhagen via the cycle lanes without any problems, we felt totally confident and she looked after everyone with great care. We would definitely recommend that if you visit Copenhagen the Segway experience is a must for your bucket list! Many thanks again Vanessa from Sutton & Avril.
We had such a wonderful day exploring Copenhagen via Segway Cruise! Our tour guide Andries was great! Highly recommend this tour.
Paulimo provided a wonderful tour. She was knowledgeable and was very flexible to tailor the tour to our needs. Its a great way to tour and learn about a city, and have a little fun too! I would highly recommend this tour to everyone!
Fantastic Segway tour! Our guide was really great she was safety conscious and very informative- we saw everything Copenhagen had to offer in such a fun way, and easy to find the tour from the ship too. Highly recommend this tour!
This experience is awesome, I can recommend it to anyone who wants to discover Copenhagen's most famous places. Our guide was super knowledgeable and gave us many interesting information (in a fun way). Every participant gets earphones, so that you get information while riding the segway. Photo stops are part of the trip and the guide is really helpful to take beautiful picture (with and without segway). Also a coffee stop in a beautiful location is part of the tour (perfect to get warm again). At the end, they even offered us tea/coffee and cookies. Do not miss out on this!
I didn’t know that the port was so far, so I missed my tour. However the tour company gave me the bicycles and point me nice places to go. They were very nice and friendly with us. The bicycles were in perfect condition and we had a blast!!! Thank you!!
Guess excellent, everything on time . 5 stars for you guys . I will be back again with you. Tour cover alot
Visited Copenhagen whilst on a cruise. Sadly the cruise terminal (Oceana Quey) was an hours walk to get to the start of the tour, but was worth it. Got to visit all the highlights and the tour guide gave us lots of information. Would definitely recommend as a unique way to visit this city.
Nice guide, funny ride, good tour, a lot of Information ... and a beer in the end. What lese do you need?
We had a delightful time during our 2 hour segway tour of Copenhagen. The guide was very knowledgable about Copenhagen and gave a very enthousiastic tour. As it was our first time trying a segway we got a short but good explanation about using them and we had a lot of fun with it.
We booked this tour less than 24 hours before it happened, and it was perfect. Neither of us had every used a segway before but Mathias and team took us through the basics, and we spent 10 to 15 minutes getting comfortable with it's use. The tour itself was wonderful, going slow when there were things to see, and a few spots where we got to go as fast as we wanted. The radio was first class, and we got to see a lot more in two hours that we would have done walking. Thanks again to everyone involved - I love my "Drivers License".
Our family did this tour right before our cruise from Copenhagen. The tour operators were fantastic. I was contacted two days before to make sure everything was ok and they even gave me guidance for airport transfers and taxis. The tour went above and beyond our expectations and they did a great job even dealing with unplanned road closures. We had a great time and would definitely do it again!
Our guide, Alex, was prompt, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He was very good about letting us know what to expect-"We're going to turn right up here and go into the bicycle lane". He was always concerned about our safety and kept a close eye on the group. We did not begin until he was sure that everyone felt comfortable. Because of Alex and the beautiful weather it was one of our best days on our recent Baltic cruise.
Absolutely had fun on this tour and would book with these guys again. Totally awesome and very informative and so much fun
My family ( husband and 3 sons age 12,15,18) took this excursion. Our cruise ship did not dock near the shop so it took us an hour to get there. ( shortage of taxies so took city bus that was packed and then had to walk 4-5 blocks from bus stop in the rain. Once we finally got to the Segway shop they were pleasant and professional. We had never used segways so we had a short lesson and were on our way! Fun tour. It would have been better if we had known street address ahead of time and also the problem w shortage of taxis to get to town off cruise ship. If you want a detail architectural or historical account of what you are seeing this is not the excursion for you. It gives a brief overview of what you are seeing which was fine by us. We trying to concentrate on our Segways!
It was a gorgeous sunny day, and it was 2 of us and Jonas, the wonderful, funny and engaging guide. The tour was fantastic, thorough, interesting and fun. We rode at a perfect pace, saw so much in just 2 hours. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see it all without having to park a car and wait for a gaggle getting on and off a bus. Fair warning, you do travel on some streets to the right of traffic, which can be a little unnerving, but the guide was watchful and safe. Also, there are a lot of uneven cobblestones, so don’t get overconfident. Loved this tour and got a new, much better perspective of Copenhagen. Top notch company and all were very friendly.
We are in Copenhagen now. We did the Segway tour this morning at 10am with Alex, our guide, we loved it. To see all of Copenhagen in 2 hours with a tour guide was an incredible experience. Alex was awesome. Plus, we had beer and cookies afterwards, and both Alex and his colleague answered all our questions about additional places to visit. We have done Segway before in San Francisco, so it was easy for us. I would highly recommend anyone, especially families, to go this route. Whatever you like the best, go visit afterwards. My family is a family of 4, my wife and I, plus our daughter 14 and our son 21. Again, what a great experience.
Our cruise ship docked at Langelinie, right next to the Segway office, which was very convenient. Our guide was Alex and he was excellent, always aware of where we were and looking out for our safety. (I might add that this was not the case in Oslo, where we also did a Segway tour). The radios were an important feature and much appreciated as we learned a lot about the city and its history. We covered a lot of ground and had a lot of fun. A great experience, full marks!
Thanks Alex for a great Segway tour. You kept our group together and safe at all times. We will do Segway tours now everywhere we go.
You get to see alot of Copenhagen on a 2 hour tour! It’s so much fun and staff is friendly :) highly recommend
Can highly recommend doing a 2-hour Segway tour - it is so much fun and the team running these are so kind. We went to so many places and our guide told fun and interesting stories about the city and the sights we passed. Plenty of photo stops - also non-scheduled and a nice set up in the sun when we came back. Will do this in every city I go to from now on!+

Absolutely fantastic service from both Viator and the Segway folks. I had made an error on the arrival time of my ship. Everything was sorted out with minimum fuss. I was re-scheduled to an afternoon slot. Upon arrival I discovered they had put on the tour just for me! Yep, I had a tour guide all to myself. The tour itself is fantastic, it takes in all of the sites. The young man with whom I toured was knowledgable, polite and very engaging. I had an absolute blast and can not recommend this tour enough, it was worth every penny. Once again many thanks to Viator and the Segway folks for your help and understanding with what was a mistake on my behalf!

Andres is a top scout. Again and again. It was a great trip. Thank you for this experience. My daughter and I had a lot of fun.
A super experience and a great way to experience Copenhagen. Can only warmly recommend this. Super instructor/guide - who knows a lot about Copenhagen😊
Very friendly and individual tour. So you can see a lot with a lot of fun. Great instruction and good technical equipment. Very nice guide with fantastic knowledge of German.
