We had a wonderful time!! Dennis was our guide was so informative and took good care of us. We traveled with our 1 year old and 3 year old. They both loved it and we even stopped at a trampoline area for them. They both fell a sleep in the cargo for a bit which was ideal. We loved all of the historic sites and it was also nice to stop as needed (to play for the kids and for coffee/food for the adults). We would recommend this if you are looking for a fun way to see the city with the family!

Itinerary
We start the journey where Copenhagen’s heartbeat meets the water - at the city’s famous lakes. Learn how Nørre Søgade became one of Copenhagen’s most coveted addresses, where elegant architecture and serene views meet timeless Danish design.
Stop by vibrant Nørreport Station for local insights and top picks at Torvehallerne, Copenhagen’s beloved food hall. Then enjoy a quick journey through the city’s royal timeline, highlighting Copenhagen’s most notable kings and the marks they left on Denmark’s history.
Make a quick stop at the crossroads of Øster Voldgade and Sølvgade, where Copenhagen’s cultural treasures come into view. From here, take in the elegant Rosenborg Castle, the grand Statens Museum for Kunst (SMK), and the lush Botanical Gardens — three iconic landmarks that blend history, art, and nature into one perfect Copenhagen moment.
Next, we stop at the edge of Kastellet, Copenhagen’s historic star-shaped fortress. Here, you’ll step back to the 17th century to take a look how the city once looked and hear stories about the visionary and powerful King Christian IV, who helped shape much of modern Copenhagen.
Next up is Copenhagen’s most iconic landmark — the Little Mermaid statue. Here, we uncover the real story behind Hans Christian Andersen’s famous character and her connection to Danish culture. From this spot, enjoy a lovely view across the canal, offering a fresh perspective of the city from the waterfront.
As we step into the world of King Frederik V, we pause beside St. Alban’s Church to admire its stunning architecture. Here, you’ll also get an overview of the Frederiksstaden district, setting the stage for exploring one of Copenhagen’s most elegant and historic neighborhoods.
Standing in the heart of Amalienborg Square, you’re surrounded by Copenhagen’s rich culture and history. Admire the Amalienborg Palace, home of the Danish royal family, with the statue of Frederik V at its center. Look around to take in the elegant Marmorkirken (Marble Church) and across the canal, spot the modern grandeur of the new Opera House, blending tradition and contemporary design in one stunning view.
After leaving the Frederiksstaden district, you’ll have the option to take a short detour for a coffee and pastry at a local café, or continue straight to Nyhavn Street. As we pass the famous harbor, we’ll share the history behind its iconic colorful buildings before crossing the Inderhavnsbroen bridge, enjoying sweeping views of Copenhagen’s waterfront.
Next, we cycle through the Christianshavn district, famous for its canals and charming streets. Admire the Dutch-inspired architecture, a nod to the city’s 17th-century planners, giving the area a feel that hints of Amsterdam while remaining uniquely Copenhagen.
Next, we explore Christiania, Copenhagen’s famous free town, known for its creative spirit, street art, and unique culture. You can browse a one-of-a-kind building materials store with eclectic items or take a break at the handbuilt playground, complete with a fun zip line, capturing the playful and artistic energy of this neighborhood.
Finally, before returning to the starting point, we may have time to take the elevator to the top of CopenHill, Copenhagen’s innovative green rooftop. From here, learn about the city’s sustainability initiatives and enjoy a sweeping view over the neighborhoods we’ve explored, a perfect way to reflect on your journey through the Danish capital.

With aging parents who have mobility issues, this is a great way to explore the city as a group. My parents had a wonderful time in the cargo seats while with the electric assist the bikers had no problems with the extra weight. We were able to see the top sites and really get a feel for the city. Fun was had by all!
It was a fun tour. Shout out to Denis for taking us out on a rainy, windy day. He was helpful and a good guide despite the weather
We booked this tour mainly bacause my wife had an accident which means she was currently unable to walk far or very quickly. The guide, Karl, offered to either drive us both with a front carraige, or whatever we preferred. I was happy to ride my own bike whilst Karl drove my wife. There was only 2 of us, so it felt like a very private tour. We went all round Copenhagen and Karl has great knowledge and shares in a friendly way. Weather was great. My wife was very comfortable and enjoyed being 'chauffered' around!! It has been years since I have ridden a bike, but found it very enjoyable. They have an area to practice in before you start. Meeting point is simple to find, just a 5 min walk from Metro. We also had great breakfast at Mad&Kaffe before, about 2 min walk from Metro (in opposite direction) Would strongly recommend both the tour and the cafe!!
We had an amazing private tour with our study abroad group. We learned so much about the city and had a blast learning to drive cargo bikes. Michel and Karl were very knowledgeable and patient teaching us to navigate the city. Highly recommend!
Andreas was excellent!! He had planned out a great route with many stops to take in the location. We saw many different areas of Copenhagen that we wouldn’t have explored on our own. The cargo bikes were a perfect solution for us, as two of us were unable walk the city. Very cold, but Andreas supplied blankets and made sure we had a warm-up break. A great way to see the city with a local guide who took great care of us.
If you go to Copenhagen, you have to try this. Is one of the best experiences. Andreas is a great tour guide. This experience is for everyone no matter age or experience level.
our tour already happend in june 2018, but we still speak about all the interesting things and facts we learnd. Andreas took a lot of time to answer all the questions and get into a discussion about all the diffrent topics he mentiont. Driving with the bikes was first a bit scary but we got used to it very quickly. Sitting and driving through this lovely city was wonderfull. The whole tour was a blast! Don't hesitate to book a tour with Andreas!
So I was desperately looking for a last minute booking.... Work and life had been crazy until my long awaited birthday break in Copenhagen. and I wanted to make sure my mom, who joined me there, would have a good time as well. I have say the weather was fantastic, and so that may have tinted my glasses a rosy shade BUT I am pretty sure the tour would have been fantastic anyways. For. starters, I wanted to try driving the bike myself, so Andreas jumped in front with my mom. I thought it would be hard but the bike was so comfy and the electric engine was so good that I barely felt the effort...so I kept peddling for the rest of the tour lol. Found it so fun, and Andreas' chosen theme of the Danish Definition of Happiness was a great topic. I have been working in DK fora while and am planning to move there so understanding the history and culture is a massive plus here. On top of all that, Andreas is one of the kindest, patient and personable guy I ever met. We had such a great chat throughout and it felt more than a service being delivered. It was a human encounter and a great cultural lesson.
We were meant to do this tour our first day in Copenhagen but it was raining which was so disappointing. Thankfully Andreas was so amazing and shuffled things around so that we could do it the next day which we really appreciated. We had the best afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed listening to Andreas talk about the history and culture of Denmark. The bikes were comfortable and blankets are supplied but if you are doing the tour in winter make sure you dress very warm as it does get cold but don't be put off doing the tour, you will love it. We did many great tours during our holiday but this one was the best.
Andreas was a great communicator throughout our planning process and was very flexible with our our plans revolving around the winter weather. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and time with Andreas. He was informative about the history of Copenhagen as well as the study of happiness. Though it was cold out we were comfortable bundled up and with the blankets, mittens and tea that he provided. We highly recommend this beautiful tour of Copenhagen. This was a highlight of our European winter trip.
This is a must do when in Copenhagen. We were guided by the delightful Eden, who was fantastic and very knowledgeable, explaining all about the bikes, the background to the company, and bringing to life the areas of Copenhagen we visited. Even on a cold day we were kept warm by Eden’s hot tea (which was a massive hit!), the extra gloves and blankets supplied by Loop Tours. Great value too. Well done Loop Tours!
Even on a cold day in November, you cant stop smiling on this trip. Andreas was the perfect guide & we met some lovley people. Never think you are too old, I am close to 60 but the bikes are great to ride. Enjoy.
We really enjoyed our ride around the city in our cargo bike. The weather was cool, cloudy, and rainy but that did not stop our group. Our lovely guide provided us ponchos and directions on how to operate the cargo bikes and off we went. The topic of our tour was the Science of Happiness and it was insightful into the lives and design of the Danish people and communities. We stopped along the route for a hot drink and had a lovely conversation with some of the other guests on the tour. I would definitely recommend that you add this unique afternoon to your "things to try" while visiting Copenhagen.
Wow! What a fantastic tour by Andreas! We only had one full day in Copenhagen and wanted to experience the city - not just the tourist sites. This was hands down the way to go! So much fun riding the bikes - easy to handle and you and your partner could switch between driving or riding in the bucket (battery assist which you need trying to get over some of those bridges!). We were a little intimidated by the sheer number of bikes in Copenhagen so we didn’t want to do this on our own - the tour was totally the way to go! Plus we learned all kind of interesting things about Denmark and the people/culture. Highly recommend this!!
The seller for me was the Christiania bikes. I thought it was pretty cool to ride a locally-designed bicycle. I was sold on the tour when I found out they were electric powered. Awesome. The icing on the cake was really the great host who was very attention and the whole tour was very well structured. We learned all about how the different public infrastructure, history, and policies formed the unique copenhagen culture. The bikes were also recently purchased so they were very new, which was added to the biking experience.
Great experience, very fun, informative and enjoyable! Our host Roberto, made the afternoon exploring Lucerne so enjoyable! He was charming and very informative as only a local can be. Roberto made safety a priority as we toured the roads. We enjoyed breathtaking landscapes, secluded lakefront bike paths and neighborhoods from the comfort of our Cargobikes. I would highly recommend this tour for singles, couples, groups and families. There is even an additional food stop option. We were a party of seven, including a nine month old and a golden retriever! Don't miss it! Date of experience: September 2019
This was even better than expected! A private tour in Italian from a very nice guide! Very precise, detailed and expert Viktor drove us around Copenhagen showing us all the beauties of the city and the secrets to have such a high grade of “happiness”! Very friendly and accommodating also with our three children!! I’d absolutely recommend this unusual visit of the city!!
I want to say thank you to Andreas for the wonderful bike tour! The weather made for a very comfortable cycling experience and reinforced my thinking of how great it would be to have a truly 'bikeable' city! His insights into the history and culture that created the current Danish psyche and state of mind created an indelible memory of Copenhagen beyond just the physical beauty I witnessed today.
My husband and I had such a great time on our tour with Andreas! He was so knowledgeable about the city and very personable and easy to talk to! His stories and information about Copenhagen made us fall in love the city! I was 23 pregnant weeks at the time of our tour and this was the perfect way to tour the city. My husband biked while I rode in the cargo seat. The bike was very comfortable and the roads were smooth (only a few bumpy parts). This was by far our favorite thing we did on our trip! We would recommend this to any traveler looking to explore and learn about Copenhagen!
This was my favorite part of our trip to Copenhagen. We enjoyed a lovely bike ride through the city accompanied with fun facts on history and culture in Denmark. The bikes were easy and fun to ride with an electric boost when needed. My 6 year old slept in the cargo basket almost the whole ride but I’m sure he enjoyed it when he was awake. Andreas was a great guide and exceptionally knowledgeable.
Definitely recommend this as it's a small bike tour. It's a good laugh and an interesting tour we had two small kids and they even enjoyed it.
A very funny morning: my husband, my kids and I had a cargo tour with Andreas. He was very professional and told us a lot of things that we would never have discovered without him. My kids of 4 and 7 years were happy about the bike cargo even though the three hours lenght because Andreas mixed the visit with strategical stops at the playgrounds. My children fell in love with him. Thanks a lot. We highly reccomennd the visit!!!
I had a wonderful tour with my two dogs Lola and Rufus in early summer, Andreas was fun and interesting and happy :) and the tour was just the right length for Lola and Rufus to sit comfortably in the font basket-box. We had frequent stops for water and Andreas and the group were very accomodating in taking a few extra minutes to them get out and stretch their legs. I think it's definitely the best bike tour in Copenhagen! and I would recommend to everyone.
We had a really interesting tour with an excellent host. I can't remember when was the last time I laughed and screamed so much. Cargo bike tour is unique and worth of every penny! Highly recommended!
Andreas is a very smart guide, he has got some interesting thoughts and knowledge to share. Riding the cargo bike was super fun and also very relaxing. It was a pleasure to share the tour with other travelers from different countries. Don't think twice just book and enjoy!!
I cannot imagine any better option how to explore Copenhagen in 3 hours. Andreas takes you to places nobody visits on his or her own and helps you to understand what the real life in Copenhagen is like. He gives you plenty of really interesting bits of information about architecture, living, traffic and so on and all of these are packed in a "story" about reasons why people in Denmark are happy. You can be sure you won't be bored and you will enjoy a ride with really funny and enjoyable bikes. This experience is worth much more than you have to pay for it. Best way how to spend 3 hours of you life on holiday. Thank's a lot, Andreas, for this experience I will never forget!
I cannot day enough good things about Andreas and this Happiness tour. We booked this tour on our family vacation to Copenhagen in 2018 and I can say hands down that it was one of he best experiences of our entire trip. Worth every penny and much more. We were a family of ten including a baby, a teenager, four adults and three kids and the bike ride was not only comfortable but enjoyable for each one of us. Andreas is knowledgeable, caring and overall just really nice to spend a couple hours with.he was patient with the kids, with our questions and really tailored the pace and the details of the tour to fit our needs. I will be going to Copenhagen again in the Fall with my girlfriends and will be strongly making a case to book this tour again. Thank you Andreas for wonderful memories!
A great way to introduce yourself to Copenhagen. Andreas has plenty knowledge and insight and a light friendly manner and leads the tour at a gentle pace allowing you to take in your surroundings. Overall great fun.
Wonderful cargo bike, wonderful views, and most importantly a wonderful guide, who shared with us interesting stories along the way. We also loved the interaction with other participants. Safe, meaningful and memorable! 一個別具意義的活動,沿途景色優美,領隊跟我們分享了有趣的故事,讓我們更了解當地人快樂的原因。另外,跟其他遊客的交流也是一個美好的回憶及學習。單車十分安全,出發前有時間稍為練習。
Andreas made sure our family of 6 - 4 kids from ages 10-2 - were able to participate in this wonderful tour. We learned about the life of the Danes, tried some uniquely danish treats, and got a good understanding of the city layout. I’m glad we did it early on in our stay as we used Andreas’ advice later to inform our decisions on what and where to visit and eat. The tour was wonderful, but the best part, to us, was the Andreas made sure it worked for our family. We stopped for playground breaks, he had different drinks for the kids, and at the end one of our kids was a bit too crabby to quite make it, so he gave us a little short cut route back to the starting point where we met up with him after he finished the full tour. We are grateful we got to experience this and would recommend it to solo, adult, or family travelers looking for a low key and interesting way to see and learn about copenhagen.
A global tour in every sense, fun and informative, Andreas gave us a global overview of life in Denmark with some very interesting insights. Of course you can't visit Copenhagen in 3 hours but you do get to see an interesting variety of off beat locations which help you to get to grips with Danish people and their lifestyle philosphy. I was by myself on the tour, not an issue at all. Super recommended to anyone of any nationality.
Amazing tour of so much of the city. Not all of the boring dates and names and “this happened here” information. Truly unique, personable host (multi-lingual), and absolutely a great value for your money!
We were fortunate to begin our holiday in Copenhagen via cargo bike! It was an easeful and honest introduction to Copenhagen. Our guide made us feel part of the city’s fabric. The day before we rented bikes in Malmo and loved the city and ride but felt like outsiders. You will not feel like an outsider with this tour. Thank you for a great experience and long lasting memories!
We had a really great time with our two kids (5 and 7). It’s a brilliant way to see, and experience, Copenhagen and the food was great too!
First time in Copenhagen? You HAVE to start your trip with this cargo bike tour. Andreas was a wealth of knowledge and you’ll gain more insight into what you’d like to see more of in the city for the duration of your time there. Hands down, this was the most enjoyable activity we did for our long weekend in the city. My sis and I packed adult sippy cups and had ourselves a grand old time being biked around, seeing the sights. 10/10 would do this again! You won’t be disappointed.
Perfect afternoon with a small picnic and a wonderful guided tour through Copenhagen! It couldn't be better. We really liked it.
We had a family reunion of 13 of us including 4 small grandchildren and we all agreed our 3+ hours spent with Andreas and his cargo bikes was the best of the week. Andreas was very flexible, accommodating a much needed coffee shop stop. He was interesting with a good mix of history, cph facts and happiness science. The bikes were first class in excellent condition and the electric assist made pedaling a breeze. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a great intro to Copenhagen and Happiness!
All of us can resonate with arriving somewhere we have never been before and thinking to ourselves.... What is the MINDBLOWING thing I can do here? Well, loop tours in Copenhagen is your answer to that question? Why? I hear you ask.... Well, you get to see nooks and corners of Copenhagen you will not have reached by yourself as they are not present in n number of guides you can read and to top it all, you experience this sat atop or inside a cargo bike - this adds just the required amount and element of fun to the whole experience. Oh, and how can I forget.... The guide is a total gem. The type of person you want to meet at least once in your lifetime. :) So book away, you will not regret.
