Great snapshot of another country and culture. Guide very good and informative and entertaining commentary on top of the official commentary. Not a lot of time to squeeze stuff in in Malmo and Lund by the time you get lunch but you see a lot from the coach and what can you expect in 7 hours. Coach seats could have been a little more comfortable and meeting point instructions were fairly hopeless but the trip itself well worth it.

The biggest square in Malmo is called Stortorget, which appropriately means Big Square. Behind Stortorget is Lilletorget, or Little Square, where you can find a selection of Malmo's most popular restaurants. The square has a Parisian feel to it, as many of the restaurants have tables outside, where you can sit and watch the world pass by. There are also some historic buildings on Lilletorget, and a vintage telephone box. On the north west side of Stortorget is Sodergatan, Malmo's main shopping street and pedestrian walkway. It’s where you can find the department store, Ahlens and many quality clothing shops. Also check out the Hansa shopping center, located in Stora Nygatan. It’s at the far end of Sodergatan, where you turn left into Stora Nygatan. The Turning Torso is the tallest building in Scandinavia at 190 meters or 623ft. (Read more: It was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and opened on the 27th of August 2005. There are 147 apartments in the tower, which covers 54 floors. The Turning Torso is based on a sculpture by Santiago Calatrava, and it is built in the architectural Neo-Futurism style. It is, however, not possible to enter the Turning Torso. Malmohuset is one of the oldest buildings in Malmo. The present Malmohus was built in the 1530s, and between 1568 and 1573 was home to James Hepburn, the 3rd husband of Mary Queen of Scots, who was held prisoner there. (Read more: Malmo Art Museum and Malmo Natural history museum are located at Malmohuset. Malmo Art Museum houses a collection of 20th century works, including works by the Swedish landscape painter, Carl Frederik Hill. There's also an exhibition of furniture from the 16th century to the present day. The entrance fee to Malmohuset is not included in your tour ticket.
Lund You can visit Lund Cathedral, which was consecrated in 1145, although there has been a cathedral on this site since the 1080s. The astronomical clock was installed around 1424. The towers of Lund Cathedral stand 55 meters or 177ft tall, and when the cathedral was built, they could be seen from anywhere in the surrounding countryside. The oldest of the bells dates back to 1513. The cathedral has five organs, the largest of which was built between 1932 and 1934 by the Danish company, 'Marcussen & Søn'. In 2016 Pope Francis visited the Cathedral to mark the 499th anniversary of the Reformation. This option is included in your excursion ticket. You can also see Lund University, which traces its roots back to 1425, when Franciscan monks established the Studium Generale, near Lund Cathedral. Lund University was founded on the same site in 1666, making this the oldest site of higher education in Scandinavia. Beside the University is the lovely Lundagård Park. In Lundagård you can find the Lund University Historical Museum. The cost of the entrance fee to this museum is not included in your excursion ticket. Behind Lundagård is Kulturen, Sweden's second oldest open air museum. In Kulturen are 30 old buildings from previous centuries. At Sankt Annegatan 9, there's a shop which is stocked as it would have been 100 years ago. Some of Kulturen's buildings have been moved here from other sites in Sweden, while others are on the same site where they were originally built. Kulturen opened in 1892. There are buildings, or the remains of buildings from the Middle Ages to the 1930s. The entrance fee for this museum is not included in your tour ticket. Lund is a great place to have lunch, as there are lots of little restaurants serving tasty food, and many have special offers at lunchtime, or fixed-price menus. A good place to go, with a large selection of places to eat is Martens Torget. There you can find Saluhallen, which was built in 1909 and is an indoor market containing a wide variety of restaurants and cafes, including Italian, Persian and Japanese food. If you fancy something simpler, try the Swedish coffee house chain Expresso House, which started in Lund in 1996. They have some very nice pastries. If you fancy some cholesterol, go to another great Swedish chain - Max. They sell tasty fast food burgers and were founded in Sweden in 1968. Most places in Sweden take card payment, but it might be a good idea to get yourself around 200 Swedish Kronor in cash, just in case.
Finally from Copenhagen to Malmø across the impressive Øresund Bridge.
Jakriborg's architectural style has a variety of intricate maze-like streets and passageways.[3] Jakriborg is not connected to traditional styles of other, more northern, parts of Scandinavia, nor with the functionalism that has been dominant in most of Europe for much of the 20th century. Instead, the style is inspired by pre-industrial town architecture found in the coastal region of the southern Baltic and the North Sea between Flanders and Tallinn, of which the old Hansa City of Lübeck is the best known example
Turning Torso is a skyscraper in Malmö, Sweden, designed by Santiago Calatrava, built 2001 - 2005. It is Scandinavia's tallest building and Europe's second tallest residential building, the tallest being the Triumphal Palace in Moscow. The building can be seen in clear weather from the Danish side of the Sound. The tower has 54 floors and a height of 190 meters. The design is based on a sculpture by Calatrava called Twisting Torso: The design of the tower is divided into nine cubes, each with five floors. The upper cube is rotated 90 degrees clockwise relative to the ground floor. Each floor consists of a rectangular section encircling a central core, as well as a triangular section, which is partially supported by an external steel skeleton. The lower two cubes contain office space, while the upper six cubes can accommodate 147 apartments.
A little southwest of Stortorget in the center of Malmö you will find the cozy Lilla Torg with cafes and restaurants surrounded by half-timbered houses from the 17th and 18th centuries. In an old, charming magazine building is the Form / Design Center, which shows design and crafts. In the place's shop you can buy books on design and a wide range of Scandinavian design within e.g. textiles, home furnishings.

Lovely trip with very pleasant knowledgeable guide. Could gave done with longer in Lund and Malmo but would definitely recommend
They take you from one place to the other, and then you have about 2 hours to walk around on your own.
Mario was the tour guide and did an excellent job. He was very thorough with his instructions about when to get on and off the bus. He knows the area well and will give you any recommendations for exploring that you may need. He provided enjoyable factual information along the tour. I had a great time!
Very informative and enjoyable tour. Steen, our guide, was very witty and well-versed with te histories of the places, and he added interesting and humorous anecdotes about the places and people.
Guide was amazing and so kind. Whole thing was rather boring. Little cities, little shops, twisted torso is an eyesore. Long bus ride for very little to be impressed with.
The tour started with a stop at Lund. The map provided by the driver recommends 10 stops in 1.5 hours. I could barely see 3, which means the time allotted at Lund was not enough. I recommend giving the tourist at least 30 minutes more at Lund. The experience at Malmo was similar. We had no time for sit down lunch either. Overall, the tour should officially be at least 1 hour more. Many sites were closed it being a Sunday. The tour operator didn’t make this clear before I booked the ticket. The driver made a stop at a place to get a nice view of the Oresund bridge. Appreciated.
A very long day. But what can you expect when you're traveling between countries. On time pick up at my hotel. Enough to the Central train station to pick up the rest of the crew. And then we were off to Sweden. Lots of good information on the audio supplemented by Mario's wealth of information. Is knowledge of English, Italian, Danish, and a few more that I can't remember, allowed him to interface with all passengers on our bus. And to top it off, he is an amazing driver. And regarding the tour, lots of great tourist stops along the way. Had an opportunity to eat Swedish meatballs and linganberry like royalty at the Grand Hotel in Lund.
We met at the designated location and had a group of 14 so it was very personal and easy. We were given audio guides as we drove, but the driver also added much more commentary. At times he was a bit hard for me to understand, but it was overall just fine. The day went quickly with our stops in Lund and Malmo. We were given walking maps with the highlighted sites which was fabulous. We also had time for a stop at the bridge for a photograph. It worked out perfectly to travel from Copenhagen for a day to Sweden and I’m glad we did it.
This is a great way to see two of Sweden’s most important cities in a single day. The guided tour is very informative and we really appreciated having time in each place to explore on our own. Probably could have used another 30 minutes in both cities and still arrived back in Copenhagen by dinner time.
Great trip and Mario was an excellent guide.
While in Copenhagen we wanted to cross the amazing Oresund Bridge. We decided this trip might be a good way to do it. As a result we also got a trip into Sweden. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour, which was made even better by the very friendly and knowledgeable Andy, he was great. We certainly know a lot more history and facts and now want to find out more. For us, on this occasion the time spent in Lund and Malmo was sufficient, we saw what we wanted too and a little extra surprise too, the astronomical clock at midday. Pick up details and location were clear. Thank you Andy.
Well organized and educational tour. Steen, our driver and guide, shared personal stories in addition to the recorded narrative. Very interesting. Thanks for a fun and informative tour. Bev G
Very nice Driver Mr Stone , took us in time and we had enough time For pictures in other locations
Fantastic experience with nice views and nice couch. No hassles and no tourist traps. Amazing guide mustafa was great person
Mario was an awesome tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history, demographics and economic environment of both Denmark and Sweden. I learned a lot about both counties. There was also the right amount of time to explore both Malmo and Lund. I would definitely recommend this tour!
Mario was your guide was very informative, extremely thoughtful and gave us plenty of time to see and enjoy the sights. He explained everything in great detail and we felt comfortable with him and his skills. I highly recommend this amazing tour and our exceptional guide Mario to anyone planning this tour. We were happy, completely satisfied and made it safely back to our hotel at the end of a very enjoyable trip.
Our tour guide is very nice, knowledgeable and informative. We enjoyed our trip to Lund and Malmo, Sweden by crossing the Oresund Bridge. We saw the tallest twisted building in Malmo. Overall, we have good experience.
I really enjoyed this tour and Mustapha was an outstanding guide. The stops in Malmo and Lund were very interesting and commentary was provided by Mustapha, the two free pamphlets and the bus' automated commentary system. We also had a welcome stop at a Oresund bridge viewing point. My only minor complaint was that it would have been great to have an extra 30 minutes in the two towns as I found them fascinating, but could have done with a little bit more time.
Great tour, mix of pre-recorded audio through provided headphones and additional information from driver (Steen was amazing). Did tour with young children and they were entertained by the sightseeing and the time on the bus between stops wasn't too long for them.
Great tour, our driver Steen was amazing and had lots of additional information and good stops for photo opportunities in addition to the city stops themselves. Educational for the adults and lots to see to entertain the kids.
Allen was great highlights were wonderful and he was a fountain of knowledge Not enough time at the sites though i would do one day trip to Malmo and one to Lund if you really wanted to see more
This is a great way to see Malmo and Lund and see some areas beyond the city centre of Copenhagen. The in bus recorded commentary was very informative and the additional commentary by the bus driver Alan was very good.
Our Guide Andy did a great job explaining the whole experience. His easy manner and "broken Swedish" at passport control got us through. Well done
Brilliant day trip to Lund & Malmo excellent guide Crispin extremely knowledgeable about both Denmark and Sweden . Great visit to Lund and Malmo well worth the trip would recommend as a good day out. .
Wonderful trip, thanks to our guide Steen, who made this experience a fantastic trip, combining culture and fun in an unique way. I have learned so much about both Denmark and Sweden ! Thank you! Tak !
Mario was an amazing guide and tour guide. He had a wealth of knowledge about the history of the area as well as local recommendations. Highly recommend this tour!
Sten drove the bus like it was a sturdy sedan. Smooth and easy. He gave background on Dane and Swedish history, something I never learned about in Colorado. We enjoyed all the placed we stopped, although there wasn’t enough time go into Hamlet’s Castle, 😥 we saw everything around it. Malmo was a revelation to me. Never heard of it. What a gem! The artistic community has many artist supported galleries that are must see. Three days in Malmo would have been nice. But now I know.
It was a wonderful experience traveling to Malmo and Lund though a little more time in Malmo would have made it better. We had a very nice driver/ guide, very knowledgeable and accommodating.
A fabulous experience with extra thanks to our guide Sten who was a gem - very personable, absolute gentleman, full of extra information and anecdotes. Highly recommend.
Great day trip outside the city to 2 scenic towns. Lund was lovely, especially the university buildings and walking the off the beaten path quieter streets with their colorful cottages adorned with overflowing rose bushes. The botanic gardens were nice as well but I could have used more time to walk around and enjoy those.
Great tour as far as it went and driver/host was particularly helpful in supplementing the recorded audio and interacting with guests. The tour is too short to cover all the basics. In particular the castle complex Malmo was too far from the stopping point to get to in the time alotted although driver did do a drive-by of the walls. Lund also has more to offer than we could see. However, the tour as offered was satisfying and well conducted.
Much of the tour is self guided. The maps provided are challenging. Our driver/guide was great and super helpful and patient. Vehicle was adequate for a group our size, but if the bus is full it would be tight. Wonderful tour to see some historic sights and hear history of the area.
Great tour. The guide and bus driver were very friendly and informative. We felt we had enough time at each stop to explore and see main attractions in the area. Convient pick-up and drop-off locations.
The guide/driver was fantastic. Very appreciated the audio guide in our language (Italian) in the bus. The itinerary was really interesting and full of wonderful things. Useful also the small paper guide with a suggested itinerary and key information on the various places included. However times were tight ! 1h 30' at Lund was adequate to complete the itinerary (but almost all places to visit were closed, because it was Monday). At Malmo 1h 30' were too few, considering that some time is needed to do even a fast lunch. I decided to skip lunch, but also in this way I was not able to visit all the places suggested in the guide.
We had the pleasure and luck to be driven and guided by Andy, what a guy! He was knowledgeable, prompt, honest, intelligent and I could go on and on about Andy, he made our tour the best day of our short break, gave us options and so many details about the places we visited, thank you Andy, magnificent day. I do have to mention one detail…,,,,West Ham fan, my husband was delighted and it made his day that he had a fellow iron to talk to!!!! Sue & Vinny Wilkes x
Learning about the history of Sweden, and the small towns was very interesting. I was able to visit many important landmarks.
Well paced tour, showing multiple places of interest. The main plus point was Alan the tour guide who gave great information throughout the day to accompany the audio narrative.
Andy was a great guide and driver with lots of information to pass on to travelers. Good introduction to Malmo and Lund. Could spend more time at each location. It was unfortunate our trip coincided with the set up for the Malmo Festival with scaffolding blocking statues and buildings. Otherwise it was a decent day trip.
Seeing the astronomical clock in the Lund Cathedral and learning about its history was very informative . Crossing the Oresund Bridge that is 5 miles long and is connected to a 3 mile tunnel. The town of Lund and Malmo were interesting but to enjoy the sites more time is needed. Andy our bus driver and tour guide was friendly , interesting and knowledgeable .
Wonderful tour! Our guide , Andy , was spectacular. We all learned so much and it was incredible visiting the 2 cities in Sweden
Bus tour to Lund and Malmo from Copenhagen. Mario was giving information along the way and he was a very good host. Wish we had more time to spend there!
First time in Lund and Malmo. Both cities were delightful and full of history! Our driver, Mario, was fabulous and concerned about each person on the bus.
Excellent tour and the guide Mario had lots of good recommendations and was very helpful throughout!
The trip to Sweden for the day was predictably fantastic... But our lively, personable, funny, and skillful guide, Steen, the experience infinitely better!
Enjoyed both Malmo and Lund. We ate at Mello Yello in Malmo which was great! Made it to all the Lund sites except the Botanical Gardens, so will shoot for that next time. Made it to Malmo chocolates a plus! Enjoyed the tour!
Anticipating afternoon rain, Mario rearranged the order of our stops, enabling us to view the bridge and the twisting torso clearly. An hour and a half was allowed for wandering in each city. Syster Jacobs gelato in Lund is yummy! The Historiska Museet Lund holds interesting exhibits.
It was a wonderful experience. Bus was on time and we left even earlier, since everybody was there and we were not too many. Our driver Mustafa, is passionate to the tour and his suggestions were very good. He stop in several places to give us the chance to take photos. We crosses Oresund bridge having a nice view and enjoying this magnificent bridge. The price is not cheap but it worth it. The tour was approximately 4 h and half. Mustafa also gave us historical facts all the way going and back, of Copenhange, Sweden, Lund and Malmo. We are really very happy with the tour. It is good for all ages.
A great way to understand the people and cultures of this area. Not just to find out about Sweden but to tie in the links between Danish and Swedish people...and their differences. Very informative guide, Mario, interesting and couldn't do enough to help us enjoy our day. I'm so pleased we came on this trip. Thank you!
The driver/guide Mustafa was excellent! So friendly. Makes you feel like family. Talks to everyone. Always smiling and laughing.
