Itinerary
Before you go into the Home of Carlsberg exhibition, you are invited on a secret cellar guided tour, where the historic beer cellars from 1847 take centre stage. The tour begins along the Carlsberg way with a beer in hand, and takes you past J.C. Jacobsen’s former villa. Then, you descend 14 metres underground. Here, you’ll gain a rare insight into the working lives of the brewery workers and the crucial role the cellars played in Carlsberg’s early operations. After your guided cellar tour, you’ll explore the 3,000 m² exhibition. It is dedicated to Carlsberg’s history, from the very first brew to a global company. Through interactive games and videos, explore the science that has played a vital role at Carlsberg since its foundation and its importance to the development of beer worldwide. The experience ends with a perfectly served beer straight from the tap in the beautiful Carlsberg Bar.

Our tour guide on the Cellar tour was excellent. Very knowledgeable about his subject for which he appeared passionate. Interactive exhibition was very good and then you had your Carlsberg tasting at the end. Excellent trip to fill two or three hours
We have been Living in Copenhagen more than 30 years and never been exposed for such a rip off. Three very small beers in the beer tasting for 30 euro a person is an overcharge of dimensions. A tiny bag of chips for 4,5 euro. We will never go again. On top the guided tour was a complete comercial experience putting Carlsberg in front of all other beers in the world and that’s not really the truth, is it?
Interactive and interesting Loved the beer
Absolutely fantastic , highly recommend this trip. The interactive displays are awesome. A great out was had by all.
Top notch experience, all the staff was espectacular and the facilities wow
What a fantastic experience - loved every sec. The beer tastings were great, food options - though limited - was good. Displays and short documentaries were an absolute delight. Tour guide was amazing and so too were the staff at the shop, bar etc. Will happily return if ever again in Copenhagen.
We had a blast with our tour gide Sofie, who even was willing to take a picture with four guys and their nation's flag. Definitely best museum ever.
This was a great brewery tour. Was not on our list, but a friend suggested and we are glad we went. This was self guided tour. Included a small welcome beer and a full size glass at the end. I didn’t want to do a beer tasting, which most brewery tours price together. This could be done as an add on. Tour was in the old factory itself and was more about the history and process than other way around, which we liked.
Informative, fun, well organization tour. Great experience.
This was a very fun and interactive experience. The people were very friendly and informative and it was a very casual fun half day with plenty of beer and games!
Amazing tour, with in depth detail and opportunity for questions and discussion. Our tour guide Sofie was incredible, super knowledgeable and immersive. Would really recommend!
We experienced a historical tour at Carlsberg just the other week. It was a really beautiful and fun trip where we learnt and tasted original beer. Our tour guide Sofie was excellent, would highly recommend booking a tour with her if the chance presents itself!
If you come to Copenhagen, you need to find time to visit the Carlsberg Exhibition & Cellar Tour. This informative tour of Carlsberg gives you adequate insight into what makes & goes into Carlsberg beer. It's like how attending a mass feels different if a person visits the biblical sites (eg the 12 stations of the cross, the Burning Bush, the Sycamore Tree & more) & the masses attended feels different, feels more meaningful thereafter. I hope the Carlsberg stour will continue & hope that the scope of the tour will be enlarged. I will say this. If you visit Copenhagen and did not visit the Carlsberg tour & cellar, you have not visited Copenhagen 😊🙏
A very interesting experience, wonderful guide,
Super fun experience. We loved the initial tour. So interactive and informative. And the guided beer tasting was extremely fun. The guide was knowledgeable and hilarious. And the beers were all great.
Visited with family including 17 year old. She thought she’d g be bored but loved the interactive experience.
We spent a lovely day at Home of Carlsberg. The exhibition was an absolute joy—very immersive, and we especially loved the interactive elements, which made the whole experience really engaging. After the exhibition, we enjoyed a great beer in the main bar, followed by a beer tasting in the cellars with our knowledgeable and welcoming guide, J.P., whose passion for beer and storytelling really shone through. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Copenhagen to stop by this unique and historic venue!
A very educational tour to understand the history of Carlsberg and the art of beer brewing from 1850s until modern days. There were some interactive display as well to engage the audience! Definitely worth going! Give that man a beer!
Super good experience. That was interesting.
Nice to meet you. Worth a visit if you are in Copenhagen.
Recommended attraction mine in the Copenhagen metropolis. A really exciting and informative tour around the history of the beer, Copenhagen and the Jacob family.
Very good tour and fine illustrations as well as good info plates where one should have questions about what is exhibited.
Museum: We think it is a very exciting museum, where information is provided and there were many interactive options that could be saved using the chip on the bracelet. The basement: The guide was good at telling but it was a little disappointing only to see a very very small part of the basement. The trip was only about 1/2 hour. Beer tasting: we had also ordered beer tasting. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave a good popular information about beer and how to taste. There were 3 beers included, each of which got about 1/3 - 1/2 beers. We were lucky that he gave us an extra beer - we were not so many and asked a lot in.
Money machine - in English (not English). Not a tour, but independent tour. Okay, at the museum. But beer tasting was three pieces in half an hour for a lot of money. Money machine. Not okay.
It is not so disability friendly as it is an old building but nice exhibition and experience
An absolute must if you are in Copenhagen! Great , very exciting and gripping multimedia presentation about the history of the founding family and the development of the company to date. Excellent and highly recommended cellar tour. Sightseeing spaces and a great restaurant with excellent food! Be sure to visit. It's a little hidden in the 1. Bullet. Afterwards visit the old entrance portal with the two impressive elephants, which is located outside the current visiting area. Don't miss it!
Excellent tour with plenty of information and activities- can be recommended for both children and adults. Digital animation
Very informative and entertaining. Great job (as it is very modern and interactive tour) and not just for beer freaks. 😉
Good museum with activities. Very good tour in the basement (free) . Overall an ok experience. A bit expensive but totally ok
We were a group of 6 who visited the Home of Carlsberg exhibition, and we had opted for a historical tour. The exhibition should basically be nice, fun with the various interactive things you could try, but it doesn't matter if you can see them afterwards. Great bottle collection. I was missing a little extra wow effect. Historical tour around the buildings and cellar, was the best part of our visit. Super nice guide who told good stories. Price on the high end. Great wonder why English is chosen as the primary language, and not Danish?
