Best choice for a tasting tour. From an awesome michelin star restaurant to a traditional hotdog stand, our group of 10 happily ate our way through town with a great guide, Mark. Highly recommend.

Itinerary
Set inside the Royal Danish Playhouse, you will enjoy chef Adam Aamanns’ modern take on smørrebrød: Denmark’s iconic open-faced rye sandwiches. You’ll savor two mini pieces, paired with wine (afternoon only) or sparkling water.
Cross the bridge into Christianshavn, Copenhagen's Mini-Amsterdam, for the taco stand from Netflix's Somebody Feed Phil: real corn tortillas, slow-cooked pork, braised beef, or seasonal vegetables, made with true Nordic precision.
Porridge was once survival food in Northern Europe. Here, at the world's first restaurant devoted entirely to the dish, you'll taste it reinvented with global spice: red lentil daal, coconut milk, fresh herbs, cherry tomatoes, and salted almonds.
You'll taste a classic Danish ristet hotdog: red sausage in a soft bun with remoulade, mustard, ketchup, pickles, and onions, from a tradition dating back to Copenhagen's 1920s pølsevogn carts, plus a meat-free version for anyone skipping the pølse.
At one of Copenhagen’s most renowned family-owned bakeries, founded in 1963, you’ll enjoy a classic Scandinavian cardamom bun: soft, buttery, and lightly spiced, subtly sweet with citrus and floral notes, finished with syrup and pearl sugar, showcasing the bakery’s long tradition of Nordic craftsmanship.

This tour had a great mix of different foods and showed me some lovely sights on the way to each place. Mark was a great tour guide—very friendly and knowledgeable.
Excellent tour with Mark seeing local eateries and eating a wide range of local delicacies . Would recommend
Excellent food, lovely tour guide round a part of the city we otherwise wouldn’t have come to. A great way to meet like minded people
Turns out the Danes love their carbs! Fun trip round Copenhagen with some food. Don’t eat before you come. Lots for food.
Absolutely loved the small group food tour!!! Each of the stops had something interesting to taste. I had more than one favorite. The walk between stops was easy and provided a nice break. The guide, Mark, was very informative regarding both the food and the area. He’s traveled extensively and makes for a very entertaining guide. I highly recommend this tour and encourage you to try to go at the start of your visit so that you can go back to your favorite places to eat! A huge thanks to Mark for the wonderful tour.
Mark was great. We got history, culture and great food. He is a super nice guy and very interesting.
Mark was amazing and it was a fantastic experience.
This was a delightful 3 hours, spent with a knowledgeable and friendly guide. The tour ended up with only 2 of us (me, wife) but Mark was completely unphased and proceeded to regale us with some mild history of Copenhagen and the connection to the New Nordic cuisine. It was like spending several hours with a good friend, just walking around, talking and eating. The timing and distance was perfect, even for our somewhat jet lagged brains. All in all this is a wonderful introduction to Copenhagen, to a Denmark, and to the unique food scene that has captured so much attention.
Mark was an amazing guide - super knowledgeable and approachable on more than just food. Highly recommended!!
We had a great time with Sofia. We experienced a great number of tasting. A variety from a lovely boat restaurant to a hot dog stand. Our guide was excellent and the tastings were generous. I would definitely recommend. We even had wine or beer with two of the tastings!
Sonjia was a great guide and really enjoyed the food options - certainly won’t need to eat again until tomorrow!
Sonia was an excellent guide. Not only did she take us to wonderful tasting from friendly people and fun places, but she also shared great information about the city and its people.
We had a nice time walking around the city with Sonia.

Sonia was a brilliant guide, very knowledgeable about Copenhagen and made the tour relaxing and enjoyable. Food was delicious
Our guide Sonia had a wealth of knowledge about the city , its environs and the food we experienced. A wide variety of tastes across the time we spent with Sonia. Thoroughly recommend this tour.
Sonia was an excellent guide. She provided us with different food options in Copenhagen, and complimented our journey with interesting facts about the city. Sonia…thanks again for a great evening in Copenhagen!!!
Great experience, loved the food choices and trying new things
Mark the Nomad was FANTASTIC. Very knowledgeable and great energy and enthusiasm definitely worth it!
I love to do food tours when I travel solo, so I was very excited to sign up for this. It did not disappoint! The selection of food was delicious; I felt like I was trying traditional foods and experiencing the culture, but with a twist! It was a weekday morning tour, so there were only 4 of us. It was a great intimate tour and I feel like I learned so much and had time to connect with the other guests and the guide. Mark was a wonderful tour guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this tour to any of my friends who plan to visit Copenhagen in the future!
This was a really good tour. Mark was a wonderful guide and took us to some interesting places to have several interesting dshes and provide insights into Danish food and culture
A very enjoyable tour tasting some fine Copenhagen cuisine and learning about the food and culture of Denmark. Mark was a great guide, very pleasant and knowledgeable, choosing some great experiences.
Mark is very knowledgeable about copenhagen and food. It is obvious from the tour that he loves both. Thank you Mark for a very pleasurable morning. Now complete stuffed. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants s different outlook on a fascinating city.
The guide was enthusiastic and informative. We had a lovely day and the food at all the stops was excellent. Highly recommend.
Great food - lots of interesting info at the stops
everything was excellent, the location, food selection, history behind it, our group was fun and Mark our tour guide was great
Mark was a great guide. Very easy to talk to and had a host of information about the city and food scene. Tastings were yummy. The first stop with the smorrebrod and wine was lovely and had a great view. Overall was a bit pricey as the remainder of the tastings were all budget foods (taco, hot dog, lentils, and cinnamon bun). I would estimate you could probably purchase the same foods for about $50 USD and the tour was almost $200 USD per person. Would overall recommend but value for money just wasn't there.
We sampled a wide array of delicious, international food, demonstrating the multi-cultural cuisine available here. The elegant first stop for the classic smorrebrot blew us away. We also enjoyed wine and beer at two of the five stops. We left stuffed and carrying doggy bags! Getting to know Mark was the icing on the cake!
Great experience with Sonia ! She was knowledgeable and educated about Copenhagen, Denmark and of course the food ! We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience.
Sonja was fabulous, friendly and engaging. The food selections were varied enough to have something for everyone, and the quantity was plenty. It’s a great way to combine dinner with seeing and learning more of Copenhagen. Simply put, it was fun!
Mark and Sonja were great and we walked around it was not just in one food haul.
Great tour and very interesting guide
Sonia was AMAZING. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. She was great at chatting with everyone and taught us so much. I can’t say enough good things about her and I highly recommend her and the tour. The food and stories were great.
Sonia was a great guide both friendly and informative. The food was amazing with a great mix of formal and street food as well as different elements from savoury to sweet.
Mark made this tour really fun. He is a very engaging tour guide, and added lots of cool bits of information that made the tour interesting. The food selections were a bit hit or miss for me, but overall I really enjoyed it.
Amazing experience with Sonia! Delicious food, lovely stories and beautiful non tourist spots I would have not found by myself. I would definitely recommend the tour to anyone! Bravo Sonia and Eating Europe :)
Great tour! Mark was an excellent guide and taught us a great deal about the history of Denmark and the food of Denmark.
Pleasant experience with interesting insight into Danish food and culture Nice variety of food Five stops - Some stops better than others.
Excellent Copenhagen food tour with Mark! We really enjoyed all the different food, especially the delicious 5 star smorrebrod, tacos, porridge, danish hotdogs and fresh danish pastries. Thank you for the informative food history and giving us a taste of Copenhagen. It was a wonderful afternoon and so grateful for Mark as our guide. Highly recommended!!
This was a fun experience. I would highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Mark, had a great personality and was very knowledgeable.
Our tour guide was fantastic, but the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations for the price we paid. It seems like the food experience could be more affordable, as the quality of the food wasn’t as good as we hoped.
Mack is a great guide. I really enjoyed his enthusiasm. All the food was delicious. I recommend this tour.
Sonja was a fantastic guide. We enjoyed every bite and learned so much about Copenhagen. Highly recommended!
Sonia was a fantastic guide! Very knowledgeable, personable and helpful. Overall we very much enjoyed the tour. We felt that more drinks should be included. We didn’t leave hungry, but we were thirsty. Beer or water would’ve been nice to accompany the taco as it was fairly spicy. We did not really enjoy the area where we had the hot dog and somewhere to sit and something to drink in a more pleasant atmosphere would have enhanced the experience.
Mark was absolutely amazing! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Copenhagen and the local food scene, and he gave us fantastic restaurant recommendations. He was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, making the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. If you’re choosing a guide, 100% go with Mark—you won’t regret it!
We had a wonderful day with Mark on our food tour with Eating Europe! The restaurants and food selections were perfect. All of the tastings were tasty and plentiful so come hungry! Mark was a perfect host and so knowledgeable and fun to talk to about Copenhagen and food! Highly recommend Mark and trying the best culinary experience of Copenhagen.
Mark was an exceptional high energy, friendly, and knowledgeable tour guide. We are great food, had a couple drinks and learned a lot of history.
We had a wonderful time on our food tour with Mark as our guide. He was personable, knowledgeable and fun. We had 5 stops with incredible samples of local food in Copenhagen. Mark shared fascinating insights into the city’s culture, history and food scene while keeping the tour engaging and entertaining. The food selections were excellent. The experience was a perfect mix of great flavors and local history. Highly recommend the tour and especially Mark!
My travel agent booked this tour at a cost of $300.It was booked for July 30.We called first thing in the morning to see about changing it since I got food poisoning and was sick. I would think they wouldn’t want a sick person on the tour. They agent was able to change it two days later with a 35 Euro change fee.We received a confirmation without any link to pay it. Later we were told that it’s a 90 Euro change fee and it cannot be cancelled. They would not keep our reservation or return the fee without the additional fee. This company does not care about customer service and I would not patronize them .They changed the original agreed t without our knowledge.
