Claudio was a supurb guide. He agreed to meet us at our hotel, tailored the tour to our interests and preferences, and adapted to very variable weather during our walk. He took us through side streets and passageways that avoided the tourist crowds while explaining the history of Denmark and the city, and the nation’s culture and identity. He is clearly very educated on these topics and interesting guy. He would be our top choice for a guide the next time we visit this wonderful city.

We thought this was an excellent tour. It isn't the old town, so if that is what you want, this is not for you. But, if you was a wonderful guide, and Tomas was fantastic, and to see many things outside of Old Town, then you should take this. Great info, great guide, just really enjoyed it.
Grazi was a wonderful guide for one of our days in Copenhagen. She is friendly, funny, personable and calm and has a wide knowledge of the city, whether be it food, shopping, art, architecture and history. She made every effort to show and explain to us sights and places which you don’t usually get in the guide books, as well as a lot which were. Be sure to ask her about Hans Christian Anderson!! Our group of four highly recommend her.
Jeff was an amazing tour guide who was not only amazing during the tour but also before and after with communication and coordination. He brought us around the Copenhagen to many different points of interest and helped us plan the rest of our week long vacation with tips on where to go and hand out!
Mia the guide was amazing. She adjusted to our schedule since our flight into Copenhagen got badly delayed. Mia was very nice and very accommodating. She took us to all the major sights including the changing of the guard at the royal palace. She gave us tips on what to where to go for other important attractions and where to eat. She was absolutely fabulous.
Kyle was amazing! We asked for a locals perspective and he gave us an extraordinary tour! Best ever! Would highly recommend this tour in a city that loves their bikes!
We simply had a perfect three hours city stroll with our lovely guide Mia. Starting near our hotel, Mia took us to different interesting and beautiful places throughout the city. Travelling as a family of four with two kids, Mia always knew how to lift the kids spirits by showing them playgrounds, trampolines by the waterfront etc. Mia was open to our questions and very flexible concerning our wishes and suggestions. She loves the city, showed us beautiful spots and provided us with lots of information and recommendations. By the end of the tour she even brought us to her favourite burger spot. We really enjoyed our time with Mia and can totally recommend her.
We had a fantastic tour with our guide, Fabrine. She showed us some beautiful hidden gems that we would never have found on our own and she was extremely knowledgeable about everything we visited on our tour. Fabrine is lovely, kind and professional so I hope you have the pleasure of her as your guide while visiting Copenhagen.
Excellent tour with Mia, so glad the rain held off! Nice stop for Danish pastries. Lots of good information.
Claudio was a professional and friendly guide who visibly had a lot of interest and pride in Denmark, its history and culture and food scene, which provided a lot of interesting conversation throughout the tour. I really appreciated the candour in sharing, and throwing in a mini chocolate tasting at Torvehallerne too, and sharing some truly hidden gems in Copenhagen. Thank you for your time and knowledge!
We couldn’t ask for a better guide for our walking tour of Copenhagen. Friendly, fun and knowledgeable are the terms I would use. We learned so much about the Danish culture as well as hidden gems across the city. Thanks so much !
My husband and I booked with Hrannar for a 3 hour walking tour around Copenhagen. To be transparent - we’ve booked using Withlocals many times and they are definitely hit or miss, this was a MAJOR HIT! Hrannar was beyond knowledgeable giving just the perfect amount history mixed with culture and traditions of the Danish. I feel like we truly covered everything major in the 3 hours while still having time to chit chat and joke around. This was the highlight of our time in Copenhagen! Don’t think twice about booking with Hrannar.
We booked this tour for our first day in Copenhagen as an introduction to the city and it set the scene perfectly. Our guide, Claudio, was waiting for us at the meeting point and, despite the rain, we all had our rain coats and umbrellas ready and we soldiered forward. Claudio was absolutely excellent, highly knowledgeable, and clearly loved being a guide and giving tours. He had a clear itinerary in mind but also built in flexibility based on the weather and any preferences we had for things to see. We had just flown in and were a bit jet-lagged and loopy, so we were happy to leave most everything in Claudio’s capable hands and we followed along. He was also patient and encouraging with our many questions about the various locations we visited and the histories he described. In fact, his historical accounts were so good and so thorough, there were many times during the trip when we visited other locations that gave abbreviated accountings of various periods of Copenhagen’s history such that information from Claudio’s tour filled in many of the gaps and made for a more enriching experience for us. We also had a chance to stop for coffee to warm up from the rain and the cold, and had a lovely chat with Claudio learning about his life and his travels and sharing our own stories as well. This tour was an absolute joy and we highly recommend it as a way to kick off your visit to Copenhagen.
Our tour guide with Grazi was hands down the best investment we made on this trip! She expertly guided us throughout all of Copenhagen, shared insightful stories and curated the trip according to our needs and desires! It truly felt like a friend was guiding us through the city. She even took photos at some of the iconic spots so the entire family could be captured in the memory! Also, highly recommend doing the walking tour at the start because it gives you a great foundation for the rest of your time!!!
This was a great whirlwind tour of the city. Mia was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable. You will walk A LOT. The nice thing is that Copenhagen is a very flat city. You will see nearly everything you want to see in the city (from the outside mostly) except for the Little Mermaid statue. Do this tour first then you can plan additional time you want to spend at the locations you want to come back to. Really a very nice tour.
Jeff was outstanding!! He was very knowledgeable and timed everything perfectly. He gave us a wonderful overview of the city , a little bit of history , architecture, economics , lifestyle and much more . The 3 hours just flew by because he was so engaging . I would definitely recommend.
We thoroughly enjoy our time spent with Hisham. He was very friendly and knowledgeable of the city and it’s history. We saw places we might not otherwise come across and he pointed out places to visit on our own. We highly recommend Hisham as your local tour guide.
Loved this tour with Claudio! His knowledge of the history, culture and food of Copenhagen was extensive. I would highly recommend this tour.
Mia is an excellent guide. Thorough, enthusiastic and friendly. Had a wonderful time and got a real nice sense of Copenhagen.
Claudio was a wonderful guide! He was knowledgeable, prepared, organized, flexible and a lot of fun. He made us all want to return to Copenhagen.
I never made it to the tour as the meeting instructions were unclear and we missed the group Never went on the tour
Waited over a 1/2 hour at designated start point only to find that guide, Mia, decided to cancel. Ended up touring on our own.
Mia is a knowledgeable guide that mixes a bit of history into the tour, so the city of Copenhagen is in context. We appreciated what we experienced more because of her choices and conversation.
My guide Mia was the best. She was extremely affable and had encyclopedic knowledge of Copenhagen. Both amazing City and guide!
I really appreciated the personal focus of this tour. Jeff provided insights about Copenhagen that I would not have had without the individual focus.
Like Roger's review below - we also were joined by two others who had been "shuffled" to our slot. I expect they also paid for a "private" tour and thus Trip Advisor got double the money for a single item. I'd like a refund of half of the trip for this reason. That being said, Mia was very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, had excellent English (a Canadian mother) and so, so much to share about the places we saw and the country we were in. Very jam packed - I know we walked 4+ miles so be thoughtful about your footwear as much of our walking was on cobblestones.
Our guide was very good. She was friendly and knew a lot about Copenhagen's history. My frustration is we paid for a private tour for my wife and me. However, there were too other people at the starting point that said they were on a different tour whose leader didn't show up. They were allowed to join our group for free. Instead of splitting the costs across four people. Don't advertise (and charge) for a private tour and allow others to join in.
Caio is a great guide for your stay in the beautiful Copenhagen! He was super nice and very informative and insightful! He brought us coupons and provided many useful tips and reccomendations. He even got back to us after the tour with answers to couple questions that we asked him. He took his time with us and was willing to carry on with the tour even beyond the scheduled time. Choose Caio as your guide for a memorable time in Copenhagen!
Jeff was delightful. He told us great stories about growing up in Copenhagen and was knowledgeable about the history. Great fun!
Marie was an excellent guide for our first time in Copenhagen. Her knowledge of the area and its history is unmatched. Marie was incredibly patient with our children and kept them engaged throughout the experience. Wonderful afternoon - highly recommend!
Claudio really knows his stuff! We spent the 3 hours walking around the bewildering maze of beautiful streets of Copenhagen and he explained the hundreds of years of history right up to the present culture. It is the best experience, to be able to look instead of trying to navigate from a phone app and he gave us individual attention to our questions instead of being in a large group. It was easy to get around crowds and Claudio knew little passageways and routes for the best views. He gave us a recommendation for our 30th anniversary dinner and it was the most amazing meal and wine pairing we've ever had. Can't give him enough stars, he is a wonderful guide who clearly loves his city.
Absolutely horrific experience. I had confirmed the day before with tour agency, and tour guide that everything is all set for private tour on Saturday, June 24, 2023. Then 13 minutes before the commencement of private tour, the tour guide cancels noting due to train cancellation. I was already in cab and arrived to meeting point at 10am in the morning 10 minutes prior to scheduled meeting time. I tried reaching out to tour guide and tour agency, and no one responded while I wait for almost an hour at meeting point. In all my worldly travels, this is one of the most atrocious. Both tour guide and tour agency were unprofessional and provided unacceptable poor customer service. Although tour agency agreed to provide a refund, they refused to compensate my taxi ride to meeting point and taxi ride back to hotel or the loss my time, energy and wasted day in Copenhagen. I only had one day to enjoy the city and they ruined it. They left me by myself at meeting point even though I had confirmed the day before. Is letting a customer know the private tour is cancelled 13 minutes before the start of tour acceptable? Highly disappointed in the poor customer service with tour guide and tour agency and their lack of responsibility and professionalism along with their refusal to compensate for my transportation cost and loss of time, stress, and frustration from the horrific experience.
This was our first trip to Copenhagen & Claudio provided an excellent overview of the city & culture with just the right amount of detail. Claudio is an excellent communicator & we really enjoyed our tour and the insider insights to the city. We highly recommend him.
Enjoyed our private tour with Mia. She is very knowledgeable and shared cultural as well as historic insights about Copenhagen and the Danish people. She led us after the tour to an area where we could find good lunch chooses. The meeting point was easy to find from the Metro station. The cafe has very good food for those that want a snack or lunch before or after the tour.
We booked this tour back a month out. We were very much looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we got a text three weeks after we booked it from the tour guide, not TripAdvisor's customer service informing us, that this is not available for the time we booked. She only has 3pm instead of 930am. She asked would we be willing to reschedule? Needless to say, we were shocked and disappointed. When we booked it, it was available what happened in between? Now less than a week from the date we have no tour. We called TripAdvisor and they were not aware she was trying to reschedule, so they told us they would investigate. We never got an answer to why she waited so long to notify us. The only choice we had was to cancel the tour because this was the only day, we had available. Had she notified us right away, we would have had a better chance to book another tour. Guess we will never know whether it was a good tour or not. We cannot rate the tour, but we can rate how unprofessional and inconsiderate this tour guide was. Hope that anyone else that books this tour gets to enjoy it.
Caio gave an extensive tour of the inner city. We appreciated his vast knowledge of the history of Copenhagen and the peek into his private life as a resident. There were many areas of the city that we would never have thought to visit without this tour.
Mia gave an excellent tour of the heart of Copenhagen while highlighting interesting history and art that helped us get to know the city - and some of its special quirks - so well. She was very knowledgeable and quite funny. A great storyteller who knows her history. We loved the tour and felt it was high value. We\u2019re glad we booked it towards the beginning of our trip, as afterwards we had a better idea of where we wanted to spend our time.
We visited Copenhagen and booked a walking tour with Hranna. He was awesome! Very knowledgeable and personable, he showed us the historical sites of Copenhagen with in-depth knowledge, and provided us with great tips for the rest of our stay. Highly recommend booking your tour in Copenhagen with Hranna!
Mia was an amazing tour guide. She provided not only historical information but 'local' knowledge about the city. We left with a long list of recommendations of areas to explore and things to try. She even navigated us around the Royal Run that was going on that day with ease. Our team had a great time and would highly recommend this tour!
Our tour with Jeff was fantastic. He was born and raised in Copenhagen which gave us insights into the history and culture of the city we would not obtain from a book. Jeff is a great communicator and patiently answered all of our questions. We highly recommend this tour!
Mia was an awesome tour guide. She gave a great tout of the Inner City. She was knowledgeable and it was interesting hearing the history. Since she was a local tour guide she was able to provide different insights.
An delightful foodie experience, with our hostess Megan taking great care of our group of ten (couples, a family, and a few single travelers(. Everything was delightful from the organic cheeses and apple wine through the various Danish smoerbrod (or Danish open faced tapas sandwiches as I think off them), craft beer, a goat 🐐 hot dog, and a strong finish with royal hard candy made in a small shop where for generations, and a chocolatier. Would 11/10 recommend.
We were taken to parts of the city that we would otherwise have missed. Our guide, Jeff, is a lifelong resident of Copenhagen and provided many details of how the city has developed over the last few decades. Lots of fun and very educational. Highly recommended.
Guide was not knowledgeable. Didn’t know Copenhagen. Supposed to include local drink and pastry but the shop was closed when we arrived. Cut the trip short because there was no information on the tour. Guide was not a local.
My husband and I were shown around the centre of Copenhagen by Mia. She spoke constantly for 3 hours, telling us lots of the history of this beautiful city which she clearly knows well and loves dearly. She was able to answer all our questions. She was fabulous! Thanks so much Mia. To be very much recommended. We went back to tell our son and his girlfriend who live here. They may well come and join you!
An unreliable tour operator. I do not recommend booking with this group. Our tour was cancelled twice and both times just minutes before the tour was scheduled to start. Both times we were already at the designated tour meetup spot when we read the cancellation email (sent only 6 minutes before). Rescheduling of the first cancelled tour resulted in the 2nd tour booking - also cancelled at the last minute. We finally gave up on getting any walking tour of Copenhagen, despite having booked it several weeks in advance.
Claudio is a native of Copenhagen and guided us brilliantly through the many centuries of changes in Denmark. He was able to share the Danish life view through a great number of sites in just three hours and gave us a better understanding of the Danish character than any previous guides. I highly recommend his tour.
Mia, our guide, was excellent fun to be with and imparted lots of interesting facts about Copenhagen past and present. Mia showed us many of the sights and it was all at a pleasant leisurely pace. Top marks.
We had an absolutely delightful private walking tour with Mia. She shared a great amount of local knowledge and history, and our tour covered many of the main sights in Copenhagen. It was wonderful to meet a local and hear so many “inside” stories! Highly recommended!
Jeff was outstanding & gave us an insiders view of the city that we would have never experienced by wandering around on our own. Highly, highly recommend! It was a wonderful welcome to the city!
