We had an absolutely amazing time. Monica was great. She had wonderful communication with us. Met us promptly. Very knowledgeable and her food choices were spot on. Afterwards she sent us some information about more locations and it was great. Thank you, Monica for a wonderful start to our vacation.

This was a great tour. Got to know the city and the food choices were the best. Our guide was very knowledgeable about food and very personable. We were all full after 6 tastings
We had the most delightful afternoon with Fabrine - 5 stars is not enough!!! Not only did we sample the most delicious local food, but she also shared so much about the local areas, highlights and about living in Denmark. We truly appreciated her insights as a foodie and the meaningful conversations we shared about our cultures. I truly hope our paths cross again.

The food tour was wonderful. A bit of this and a bit of that bites that were delicious. Monica, our guide is full of enthusiasm for food and Copenhagen. Our whole family enjoyed exploring the city and filling our tummies with scrumptious choices of new food finds!
Christel was an excellent guide for our diverse group of 8! We had a wide range of food likes and dislikes and she did an outstanding job in finding something for everyone! Some of our group had mobility issues and she modified the tour to help accommodate them. The food was great! Blinis with salmon and caviar, fried haddock, and my favorite, the assorted open-faced sandwiches. I highly recommend Christel and this tour!
Outstanding tour with Monica. She had a great tour planned, with tastings designed to complement one another. In addition, she included a wonderful city tour as we travelled between food stops. The tastings were more than enough to satisfy each of us in lieu of our dinner meal. Monica plans an outstanding tour and such an enjoyable person to spend an afternoon with.
Christel was great, fun to talk to, gave us her undivided attention for over 2 hours. She would discuss any Danish topic.
Monica gave an overview of Copenhagen neighborhoods and restaurant options that made our entire trip to Copenhagen better. She is energetic and full of deep knowledge of the food scene and the dynamics of changing tastes among the Danish people. Highly recommended. Even if you don't think you will like the hot dog you have to try it. You will be surprised how good the "classic" version is! Nothing like what we consider a hot dog in the US.
If you’re looking for a pleasant opportunity to get a taste of traditional Danish food while also exploring parts of the city, this is a wonderful tour. While some courses are fairly large, there’s no pressure to finish every one. Christel was a wonderful and gracious host who shared many cultural insights as we toured the various food stops. Really fun experience!
The tour was informative and our guide was kind and friendly, however, I would have expected more tasting options for the price. We started with a pastry, had a traditional food truck hot dog and then walked to the market to sample smorrebrod sandwiches (mushroom and egg salad were what was given to us) from the same location. We were offered a small beer pour or kombucha to accompany the smorrebrod and were given a few chocolates/candy to take home. All in all we only had three food stops and felt like our guide left pretty quickly. The two choices of smorrebrod she brought us seemed nontraditional and we would have preferred more traditional flavors. The tour felt a bit rushed and we did not experience the number of tastings we thought we booked and paid for. This experience seemed less about food and more about information regarding Copenhagen.
Claudio provided a wonderful exploration of Copenhagen sharing cultural and historical insights whilst eating beautiful food and some drinks. The passion Claudio has for food and the city made the tour so enjoyable!
Wow!!! This was a phenomenal food experience with Christel. She specializes in traditional Danish cuisine experiences and provides either full size or half size portions of the food. We had the 10 item food experience and were totally stuffed by the end and needed a walk to feel comfortable again. Christel asked us about our favourite meal, and we couldn’t decide between the open faced sandwiches, traditional organic hot dogs, monster Danish oysters, roasted pork on a bun, meatballs, strawberries, pastries and chocolates. But finally we decided on the roasted pork half sandwich with tasty roasted crackling skin and Danish bacon. We learned a lot about Danish cuisine and culture and had wonderful conversations. She met us at the prescribed meeting point, but had earlier sent us a text to meet at a more convenient location for both of us. We were using a European sim card and unfortunately, through no fault of hers, she did not have our correct European number. Once we got back to the ship, we found her message on my wife’s ipad. We wanted to get back to our shuttle bus by 2 pm and she got us there precisely at 2 as we requested. Christel paid attention to details and asked us about our food preferences at the start of the tour and changed her choices on the fly based on them and local availability. The in-season strawberries were a special treat! If you have an opportunity to tour with Christel, we’re sure that you have a wonderful time.
A great tour and experience. Awesome food selections. Every stop kept getting better. Christel was an awesome guide!!
We just got home from visiting Copenhagen. My husband and I went on a 10 food tasting tour with Claudio and were not disappointed! Everything we tried was delicious and Claudio's love for food and history of Copenhagen were both prevalent. Claudio had a way of describing each item that definitely made you want to try it. We liked several of the items, so that night after the tour we went back to the Food Hall and tried more of the items for a late dinner. Also, bought the Amber chocolate to take home. Yum! We would definitely recommend Claudio as your food guide for Copenhagen. He loves food!
Claudio was a fantastic tour guide. He wove together the history culture and culinary facts of the foods of Denmark together so well. We sampled open face sandwiches, danishes, meatballs, hot dogs and sweet treats throughout Copenhagen. It was the highlight of our visit here.
Our guide Claudio was personable, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with! This was a great introduction to Copenhagens food scene.
Monica was one of the best guides we have ever had! She reached out to us beforehand to make sure that she catered the trip to what we wanted. She made sure that we tried all the unique flavors of Copenhagen with a few twists, and we loved every minute of the tour. We highly recommend a tour with Monica and can’t wait for our return trip back to Copenhagen!
Claudio was an incredible guide, his passion for food and Danish culture made this tour unforgettable. He wove together the history of Denmark and Copenhagen with the evolution of its cuisine in such an engaging and insightful way. Every stop was delicious, and his storytelling made each bite more meaningful. We left not only full but also inspired by his love for food and the city. Highly recommend!
for someone who is new to DK, this tour could be a good intro to the country. Caio was a great guide!
It was a nice experience and our tour guide was very friendly. She gave us different options and even accommodated the dietary restrictions in our party.
Our host Monica, was energetic and knowledgeable about Copenhagen. The food varied and was really good. We had to pace ourselves as there was plenty of food at each tasting. One tasting was an amazing loaded hot dog (I know, right) that was like no other. The four of us had a good time and would recommend.
Monica was so insightful and such a great guide. She was very accommodating and we got a good insight of Copenhagen as well as where to and what to eat. Highly recommend.
Way overpriced. Very little food. No sitting in a restaurant. I don't think it was the guides fault. The company has not set it up properly
Unfortunately, this tour did not meet our expectations. The guide lacked passion and engagement throughout, which made the experience feel flat and unmemorable. We were hoping for more than just street vendor food and a rushed pace that left us looking for places to sit or rest. We even had to ask to stop for a restroom break, which we felt should have been anticipated in the planning. At one point, the guide even mentioned she had never tried one of the featured eateries herself, which didn’t inspire much confidence. Overall, we were expecting a more curated, insightful, and enjoyable experience.
Monica did a great job giving us a well created tour with excellent food! We also enjoyed the navigation points of interest to help us better navigate the city following the tour. We enjoyed all the tasty bites and even followed some of her recommendations after the tour.
We took this tour with friends on our first day in Copenhagen thinking it would give us an introduction to the history and culture of Denmark. It didn’t really accomplish that goal as we did learn much about Danish culture or even much about the origins of the cuisine. We chose the 10 tastings tour but there was too much food for us as seniors. We ate mostly street food and the guide asked us what we wanted to eat at each location. That may have been for some people but we would have preferred more guidance in making choices. The food was very good though and we might give more stars if only ranking the food
Our guide chose excellent food experiences—very delicious and very Danish. We enjoyed walking and getting an overview of the city. Our guide, Crystal, had local insights that were interesting and personal. But, the tour was not a good value. The price should be a flat rate with optional up charges for alcohol, which we did not have. $400 for two felt overpriced for a hot dog between us, some pastries, strawberries, a few fancy chocolates, a couple of sodas and 2 smorresbord. Our guide was a nice person but looked like she had just rolled out of bed. Sorry for the plain critique; grooming matters.
Wonderful! Claudio was so knowledgeable about both the history and cuisine of Denmark! It was a pleasure to be on a private tour, we could customize as needed around the fantastic things he already planned. Truly recommend!
Well laid out. Our guide, Fabrine, was terrific. She was in contact with us early on to make sure our needs were met. If we said we did not like food type A, she shifted to an alternate, equally good, food to taste. She understood our mobility was not the best, so she had a planned route with several extra stops to sit and rest. She even took us to a taxi stand at the end and flagged down a taxi for our ride home. Of course, the food we tasted was wonderful. Never could have had such an experience by ourselves!
This is 100% the tour you should do at the beginning of our Copenhagen vacation. We booked this trip to help our two kids stay awake during those crucial hours when jet lag is the absolute worst. They were so sleepy but our guide was so patient and kept them engaged! I was impressed with her knowledge, understanding and over all kindness. She was so helpful in orienting us to the city and figuring out what to do and where. The food was wonderful. Both savory and sweet things to eat. We were so full by the end! We highly recommend this tour! Not only do you get great food, but also a wealth of information! Worth every single penny!
Claudio is an amazing guide. We enjoyed wonderful tasting that paired with the deep history and culture of Copenhagen. I recommend this tour when visiting Copenhagen.
We booked the 10 tastings tour. All of the food was delicious and left us full for the rest of the day! The highlight was Monica, our tour guide. She gave us so much great information about both Copenhagen and the food scene. She was such a great guide that it was hard to say goodbye to her at the end of the tour! All in all, this was a great food tour and we’re so glad we did this.
Our guide Fabrine Lima is amazing. We tasted wonderful food and she took interest in topic we are interested in such as organic and regenerative food. I would recommend this tour high. Fabrine Lima even provided us text information on other hidden gems to visit while we are in Copenhagen.
“Monica curated an outstanding selection of food, each stop better than the last. Her energy, warmth, and friendly personality made the experience truly enjoyable.”
I strongly suggest the 10 testing. Monica was amazing. We learned a lot about the city and the food was incredible. She had great suggestions and was wonderful.
My daughter & I really enjoyed our tour with Monica. We saw lots of interesting places, and most importantly tasted great food. Monica’s enthusiasm shone through, and there was no skimping on the portions!
This was an excellent tour with an excellent guide, Grazi. The highlight for us was Torvehallerne (food hall), where we ended up eating many times on the rest of our trip.
A great way to spent the afternoon with an informative and personable guide. A real selection of treats, both eating in and out. Wouldn't have tried any of these if I were alone
Was our first time with a local guide and we really enjoyed it! Caio gave us many insights and we really got to know the real Copenhagen and could avoid the tourists traps afterwards. 10/10 would reccomend it!
Grazi is a Fun and energetic guide. She exposed me to hidden food treasures - supporting local businesses and where possible organic foods. She was very knowledgeable about Copenhagen and willing to share all sorts of information. Grazi made it truly memorable moment.
Great experience. Genuine could not have been more helpful. she gave us lots of additional information from a locals point of view. Good way to taste local cuisine how Danes eat it. highly recommend the tour and the guide- outstanding. only 1 bit of advice. do it earlier in the day. we started at 4 and lots of places were closing.
We loved Claudio! This tour was the perfect introduction to our stay in Copenhagen. Not only did we learn about the local food culture and get restaurant recommendations, but he also gave us a good overview of the history of Copenhagen. Definitely in the top 3 food tours we have ever taken ( and we have taken over 20!)
I have only done one of these but I can guarantee Claudio is the best. We had a great food tasting experience. We got a lot of history of the food as well as Denmark. His history knowledge in general is fantastic and his ability to tie the food back to the culture is amazing. He takes a lot of pride in his tour and has a personal connection to the food. Even when we asked just general history questions he was able to tell us a story. The whole tasting was a complete experience.
Monica was a friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, flexible tour guide. The food she chose was delicious and local. I would highly recommend Monica!
I thoroughly enjoyed the food tour. My guide told wonderful stories and introduced to me to a variety of excellent foods. I would highly recommend this tour to all.
We had a very good time with Fabrine. We had a lot of different tastings starting from hot dogs, bakeries, restaurant and food markets. On our way we also learned a lot about the culinary scene and heard stories about the town and the Danish habits. We had some enjoyable hours with Fabrine and we highly recommend this tour.
We had a great experience on the food tour. We loved the meatballs, smorsborg sandwiches, fish cakes, and chocolates. The history and cultural information was great!
I have done food walking tours all over the world and is the biggest rip off I have ever experienced as the tour guide offered us almost no food.
We had an amazing experience on our tour! Our guide, Grazi, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the city's history. We learned so much along the way. The food stops were fantastic, offering a wonderful variety of local food and drinks that we really enjoyed. Grazi was very communicate pre and post tour with us, ensuring we had our meeting point before the tour and following up with us after, sending us the fabulous pictures she took for us along the way and some other local recommendations! Overall, we had a great time and highly recommend the tour!
