Good to get to all major attractions, buses came on regular intervals, and on time, well worth the cost

To watch out for the same type of hop on hop bus companies as it was very confusing. In determining which company was which
Not bad as an introduction to the city and a way to identify areas or attractions you may want to dig into further. The drivers were generally very good: skilled at navigating the city and most of them were very friendly and helpful (Carlos in particular was a gem). They need to improve a few things on the logistics side though: 1) have an app with arrival and departure times instead of a website and interactive map which are difficult to navigate. 2) buses are too infrequent. 3) not enough integration and coordination between the different routes made for silly delays in transferring from one to another.
2 stops were closed so the bus was rerouted. Ended up 3 kilometres from our hotel. No explanation and no apology
Should be a good way to see the city but overall not really worth it. I bought my ticket in person at 11.30am, was told it was valid for 24 hours but it expired midnight the same day. I wanted to get off at Christiania but the stop was closed due to roadworks - the operator obviously knew about this so could have told me when I bought the ticket but did not. Other stops were varied - some not well signposted, or not at all, so it's hard to know where and when you can get on the bus. On board, the factual information given via headphones was interesting but didn't quite match up with the route - either too early or too late to see what was being described - and frequently a segment was cut off entirely before finishing.
I expected way more history and talking throughout. Not the best hop.on and off..we did 2 of the routes.
The brewery was not very good. We were told all beer was included in the price. It was not. They let the bus get overcrowded and we had to stand. How do you enjoy the sights standing in the aisle.
The bus driver did not give any Information, the bus did not stop at all the stops and we were not informed until the last minute, he dropped us off at a stop and didn’t give us any clear directions even though we asked. He wasn’t able to say what time the last bus was coming. We felt the map was terrible and the audio guide was not working properly.
Terrible organisation There was unclear advice on the shuttle from the cruise terminal to the sightseeing bus. We were told to get off the bus only to be told to get back on it! There is the option of three loops but despite being told the green loop bus was being held for us, it was full and left without us, this meant we were going to have to wait at least 30 mins before the next bus. If you are moderately fit you can walk to most points of interest using Google maps. Ended up asking for refund which was accepted hence the one star.
Good service bus drivers great
A good way to get familiar with the city and pick up some trivia information and a bit of history too (n ot much)
I have always loved a good HOHO tour. You get to see the main sights of the area and you get to choose what you get off to see and for how long. The buses were running pretty frequently while we were there, and the loop wasn’t so big that it took hours to get around. I do wish there could be a couple a little closer in the middle maybe where you could easily get across too and either double back to something you want to go back to, or to skip part you don’t want to see again. Although, as I said, it wasn’t that this loop took an extremely long time like some places.
Route was OK . Info on attractions could be more. Had trouble finding correct bus as apparently there are 3 or more hop on/off buss operators with almost identical red buses. In time of booking no map or instructions on stations ware given so had to find my own way. It is good way to see city when you have limited time. Definitely not the best way.
We bought a 24 hour ticket £65 we got on at Tivoli gardens went three stops to Christiansborg Palace, returned to the bus stop at 14.40 to wait for another bus to take us to the Amalienborg Palace at 15.10 we were still waiting, the bus arrived at 15.15 (the girl had told us in the kiosk 8minutes) we arrived at bus stop 3 for the place too late to purchase a ticket. So for 5 stops it cost £65 as we didn’t bother to wait for another bus we got the metro back to our hotel! Disappointed as we left the next day, it is simply day light robbery, £13 a bus stop they need to have more buses at least one every 15 minutes.
Routes were good. Glad that there were so many sights spread over three different routes. Really liked the "find my bus" feature. Some drivers very much better than others. USB chargers were pretty spotty, with many of them broken.
Very easy to access. The bus had the best sound system we’ve experienced on a Hop-on/off Bus. Clean. Pleasant driver. Great for an overall view of a city. The Bus is usually the first thing we do when arrive to get a relaxing overview of a City. 100x’s better than the Amsterdam bus. Worst experience ever. This was probably the best!
My husband and I decided to do this Stromma tour as they were located at the cruise terminal. It was a busy day as there were other ships in port. We were looking forward to visiting some of the attractions we hadn't visited in the past. Sadly that didn't happen. We were asked to leave the bus at stop no. 9 as the driver was running behind. There would be another bus along in 5-10 minutes. Another bus did come along and everyone piled on. Then again at stop No. 5 we were asked to leave the bus and another one would be along shortly. This is where things really changed. Yes it was lovely to see The Little Mermaid. But having to wait for an hour until another bus arrived is unacceptable. There were many other people also waiting for the bus so arrive. And then the heavens opened literally, we managed to shelter under a souvenir booth which is right next to were the bus stops. When the bus finally turned up everyone was complaining and we were told we must have missed other buses that had stopped. I don't think that 40 or more people would have missed said buses. Because it was raining no one was on the top deck. So were were sandwiched in like sardines. We steamed all the windows up and the driver had to ask people to wipe the windows down as he couldn't see very well. Of course when we got back to the cruise terminal there were no Stromma representative there to complain to. Hence I have decided to write this review. The Company must have known that they would be busy that day with so many tourists. Yet they didn't seem to have allocated more buses/drivers. They also are getting more expensive and one of the buses sounded like it needed its breaks oiled. I wouldn't recommend this option to anyone. Take the other HOHO option instead.
This was the bus that said royal tours not the red sightseeing one. There was nothing to identify the company running the tour and after taking the tour I know why. There was nothing audio was awful, it repeated certain segments then cut out before completing others. The bus driver banged the back of the bus and we all had to sit and wait for a replacement bus whose audio was even worse.
The poor language skills of some employees and the attitude of others are frustrating. The buses are generally late. Due to their tardiness, I almost lost the money spent on tickets for the Rosenberg Castle. I would give zero stars if I could.
We paid £83, which was two 24hr tickets for the two of us. A little expensive, but it's Copenhagen and the tours looked varied and there was three routes and a boat tour. We started with the classic red and sat on there for the whole 1.5hrs due to it being drizzly weather. Then we did part of the black route, but this is mainly for the cruise ships and takes in the city centre, Nyhavn, the little mermaid and goes out to the different quays. The next morning, we did some of the purple line which takes around an hour, then we got on the boat cruise which is another hour around Christianshavn and takes you to residential areas, the royal yacht and other interesting places on the water, lots of bridges and a guide telling you interesting facts. We felt we had got our monies worth after the 24hrs and glad we did it. You can also QR the bus and get live updates as to when one is due and what route it is. We would recommend it.
The Copenhagen Hop On Hop Off tour was a very convenient way to hit all the highlights considering we were on a cruise, so had limited time in Copenhagen. The bus came right to the cruise port, so the added bonus was we did not have to take a shuttle or taxi from the cruise port. Stromma does a great job with their Hop On Hop Off tours and seem to have better consistency with bus timings.
Awful. The tour company wasn't waiting at port when the ship disembarked, unlike the other two companies in Copenhagen. When we got on board, most passengers were happy to stay on board this bus & follow the 'Black tour' that was supposed to take 90 minutes ( this included some passengers of limited mobility). After 5 minutes on board, the driver announced that he was only acting as a shuttle bus to the 'Red tour'. Upon arrival at a stop in the city centre at 8:45, we all had to change buses. Once this bus set off, this driver informed us that there would only be 3 buses returning to the port at 90 minute intervals starting in 3 hours. This return bus would then basically follow the same route as we were now on, but then returning to the port around 3/4 of the way round, so meaning we would have then done the same tour route twice after a wait of over an hour for the return bus. Once the Red tour set off, we seemed to be doing nothing but being sat in traffic light queues going past concrete business hell buildings, including passing the same building (One.com) 3 times. After a very uninteresting 70 minutes on this tour, we got off at the first place worth seeing, but the experience had already been ruined & ended up getting an Uber back to port instead of another 20 minutes on the Red line, an hour sat waiting for the return bus in a not very nice looking area, this assuming the return, smaller bus, was not full & another 70 minutes doing the same traffic jam infested loop back to the ship on hard uncomfortable bus seats. We have done a similar tour in London previously, which was good, but this experience has put us off this company for any future tours. I would have posted photos as well, but there wasn't any worth taking as we all know that traffic lights are red, amber & green
Mu hubby and I both seasoned travellers but found this experience to be frustrating. Have done many HOHO and this was by far the worst. Was very complex on how to find a stop to get back to the ship. The instructions were very poor …..because there were so many lines that could taken. We ended up missing out on sites that we wanted to see. Would be great for the stops to be clearly marked. We wanted to get off at a specific spot but the driver left before we could get off. All in all a waste of time and money
Nice to be able to see the City and decide when you wanted to get off where you wanted and then get back and see the sites. Copenhagen was very nice and clean.
We had the Copenhagen HOP card for 48 hours. The buses take you on 3 different routes with multiple things to do and see. Staff was professional and you could tell then certainly enjoyed their job. We managed to see most all of the sites we had planned to see in this time period. This is a wonderful way to see the city and would highly recommend this company (as well as purchasing a Copenhagen HOP card).
Easy to find but you really don’t need the bus tour everything is walkable in a day. I only would recommend to people who have a hard time walking.
We took the 48 hour option which proved to be a very good thing as we were able to move around town quite flexibly and see sights that were a bit further from our hotel like the Museum of Danish resistance which we actually spotted during ouf first day roundtrip,
Such polite and helpful staff. This ride allows you to see some main places in Copenhagen at a leisurely place. It gives an overview of the city and helps to work out the places you might want to revisit at leisure.
A great way to introduce this amazing city. Expert and sometimes humorous- if a little out of date - commentary. Audio quality excellent. Even in a cold February the bus was warm. Driver had customers at heart.
Terrible. I waited for 30 minutes at stop 30. The bus never came. I went back to the hotel got lunch and went back out for another 30 minute. Mind you, it was 30 degrees F and windy in Copenhagen that day. Ruined my plans cause now it's almost 2pm, so I ask for my money back. No way I'm spending 72hrs waiting for a bus not knowing if it's coming or not. Of course they said no cause they rather have $40 than a loyal custumer of 12 years. Anyway go to Get Your Guide. I'll let Wells Fargo deal with them.
Attention - there are several companies that hardly differ visually and in price. We booked 5 tickets directly with the red bus, offered by Copenhagen. Very poorly signposted, only 1 route, you cannot stay seated after the first. The introductory round and "ejection" and start differ. In Christiania, the bus stopped so briefly that we couldn't get out and had to go back. And the starting point in Christiania was not found. For multiple people, it's better to rent an Uber, they are plentiful.
We like to use the hop-on/hop-off buses in foreign cities to get an overview. Here we were disappointed for many reasons. At first the sights are poorly visible from the bus, the audio somehow did not fit the location, so we and other guests were partially completely lost there. In addition, there was endless shunting at the cruise port. For the comparatively high price, the added value was low. We wouldn't use it again.
When we finally found the right bus in chaos and drivers who could not speak a word Danish, the trip - the one we reached - was fine enough. Unfortunately we were fooled by having read that the bus ran every 25 minutes or so. And it was just run. And then we didn't get any more, as they stop driving already at 17 o'clock.
Excellent activity, very well organized. Beautiful country and culture. I recommend it as an activity. I'll do it again. Chauffeurs were very courteous and facilities well clean
Nice way to get to know a city. Meanwhile, you get to hear things about the history of the city itself, which is also very nice.
An informative city tour and additional possibility to get off without any problems and continue at some point !
