This was a six star experience in terms of the Guide and the company. We had a phone issue and could not make our scheduled tour time. It took over over 3 hours to fix. Called Viator who called Amitylux who called tour guide and we were able to reschedule to next day. This was a great tour, Bob our guide was knowledgeable, funny and put you at ease. He is very personable and engaging. Tour size was small <10, which was very good for us. Our questions were answered and we al received suggestions about places to go, where to eat, and what Danish foods are worth tasting. He also had a suggestion of where to go if you like Jazz, which like, but don't have time for on this trip. Bob made out trip to Copenhagen much more informative, and enjoyable. His tour was a six star experience :>)

Amagertorv, today part of the Strøget pedestrian zone, is often described as the most central square in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Second only to Gammeltorv, it is also one of the oldest, taking its name from the Amager farmers who in the Middle Ages came into town to sell their produce at the site.
Amalienborg Palace is a must for anyone with a taste for royal history and the life of Denmark’s royal family who still resides inside the palace.
The Round Tower - The 17th century tower and observatory Rundetaarn, or the round tower, is the oldest functioning observatory in Europe. When Christian IV built the tower, Denmark was quite famous for its astronomical achievements thanks to the astronomer Tycho Brahe. When he died in 1601, the King wished to continue Brahe's research, and thus the round tower came into being. It has been a while since the scientists left, but the observatory is still used by amateur astronomers and the many visitors. The observatory is encircled by an outdoor platform from which you have a magnificent view of the old part of Copenhagen.
Christiansborg Palace is a palace and government building on the islet of Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It is the seat of the Danish Parliament, the Danish Prime Minister's Office, and the Supreme Court of Denmark.
The Copenhagen Cathedral in its present shape is an unpretentious building in Neo-Classicist style designed by the architect C.F. Hansen. The foundation stone was laid by King Frederik VI in 1817, and the solemn consecration took place on Whitsunday 1829. However, the site of the present cathedral has housed a church ever since Bishop Absalon, the founder of Copenhagen, had a small chapel built on the premises. The original church was erected at the highest point in the town around 1200.
Strøget is Copenhagen's main shopping street and one of Europe's longest pedestrian streets with a wealth of shops, from budget-friendly chains to some of the world's most expensive brands. The 1,1-kilometre stretch covers the streets Frederiksberggade, Nygade, Vimmelskaftet, and Østergade and runs from City Hall Square to Kongens Nytorv square.
City Hall Square is a public square in the centre of Copenhagen, Denmark, located in front of the Copenhagen City Hall. Its large size, its central location and its affiliation with the city hall make it a popular venue for a variety of events, celebrations and demonstrations.

The walking tour of Copenhagen was amazing. The guide, Caroline, was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. She enjoyed what she was doing and had answers to all our questions. We saw more than expected. Thank you Caroline.
Bob was a great guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time and met other travelers from all over the world.
Great tour! Bob was informative and engaging!
Excellent tour. Loved it! Knowledgeable and friendly.
Excellent experience with our Robert Kerr. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. He made our walk interesting and fun.
Rachel was fabulous and we had a great time on our tour! She was very cheerful and knowledgeable!
Aasa was so knowledgible and easy to understand. SHe was very personable. Walked at a good pace. We saw some amazing sights around town. I wpuld jave preferred half an hour less walking though.
Such a great tour, highly recommend!
This was an excellent 10 out 10 tour. Our tour guide was Karoline and she is absolutely superb with amazing knowledge and a delightfully positive and fun personality. The tour was 3 hours but seemed much less as the time went by fast as we were having fun and learning so much about the beautiful city of Copenhagen and the wonderful Danish culture. Thank You Karoline!!!
Aasa was an awesome tour guide. She gave us all great historical context and kept the group engaged and moving along at a great pace Sometimes tour guides give an overwhelming amount of information and lose the interest of the group, but Aasa kept us all entertained and informed about this great friendly city. I would highly recommend this tour, and if you’re fortunate enough to have Aasa as your guide you won’t be disappointed!
What a fabulous tour of Copenhagen we had with Alex this afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience as Alex answered our questions throughout the afternoon thereby giving us information on numerous subjects from Vikings, food, histrory, Royal Family, WW2, history, Danish life, companies and global warming amongst many other topics. Alex was well informed , interested and proud of being Danish and all that Denmark has achieved, The tour took just over 3 hours and e much appreciated being shown the shortest way back to our hotel. I don’t feel that Alex could have improved our tour he quickly reacted to our questions and tailored his approach accordingly. The city was busy in places as it was a Saturday afternoon but we stopped in quieter places. It was great to be in such a small group as we were all able to ask any questions we wanted. Thanks for a great insight into Copenhagen and Danish life.
We had a great tour with Rachel showing us the highlights of Copenhagen. Rachel is very knowledgeable and delighted us with stories about the city and the Danish way of life and culture. We walked over 6 miles, so it was a long afternoon. Rachel was very accommodating and suggested somewhere to stop for a coffee/tea break. We enjoyed the tour.
Our tour guide Bob was simply amazing! He was very knowledgeable and kept the tour fun, and interesting. His personal experiences made this tour unique and different! He brought umbrellas for everyone, which came really handy since it rained on three different occasions throughout the tour. We walked close to 12k as we learned about Danish history and culture and also got wonderful eating tips! He made sure everyone was following the tour and accommodated restroom breaks. Thanks Bob for making our first visit to the fantastic city of Copenhagen so wonderful! I would book another tour with Bob without hesitation!
The tour was fantastic. Bob Kerr is not only incredibly knowledgeable and informative, but he also makes the experience truly memorable by incorporating fascinating historical details and personal anecdotes throughout the tour. He goes above and beyond what you would expect from a tour guide, making everyone feel welcome while keeping the tour engaging, well-paced, informative, and fun. I highly recommend Bob to anyone visiting Copenhagen. He made the experience special, and I would gladly take another tour with him!
Tours are made or broken by the guide, and August was fantastic. He loves his city, which always makes for a more enjoyable tour. Some cultural tours can be interesting, but a bit dry. August as anything but dry. He quickly assessed our vibe (laid back, kind of lazy, but always looking to learn), and tailored the tour appropriately. He provided a wealth of information on both the city and culture. We had a blast, and anyone who tours with this operator and guide will thoroughly enjoy themselves.
Aaisa was a great guy and gave us a really good overview of the city. We walked to many of the main sites and she was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Dan was out tour guide and he was great. Lots of fun knowledge tidbits and stories. Highly recommend.
Rachel was five stars all the way!
"Rachel was an excellent guide for our Copenhagen walking tour! She was knowledgeable, engaging, and gave us great local tips. Highly recommended!"
Dan was a very good and an informative guide. Loved his enthusiasm but could be slow at times 😁
Our tour guide Rachel was excellent! Highly recommend this tour
We loved the tour. Great way to start our 3 days in Copenhagen, giving us lots of history and seeing a lot! Alex was our guide. We ended up being the only couple on the tour and it lasted 3.5 hours with about 13k steps. We saw so much, enjoyed the commentary and would highly recommend it. One thing is I wish I would have gone to an ATM and got some cash to tip him. He went above and beyond. If you have the time early in your trip book this tour and then you can plan your days around what you want to go back to.
Rachel was great and we learned a lot
Our tour was with Bob and he was great. Very friendly, thorough, knowledgeable, and informative. We saw a lot of the city and he had a deep knowledge of Copenhagen's history. I would recommend Bob to anyone who wishes to get a road education on the city and history of Copenhagen and Denmark.
Great experience. Our tour guide did an excellent job making the tour engaging for our children while also showing us some wonderful sights around the city. We really appreciated the chocolates he provided, the fun stops along the way, including the trampolines, and how accommodating he was when our kids needed multiple bathroom breaks. Overall, it was a great family experience. We would highly recommend him and would absolutely hire him again.
Jose was a great tour guide. We saw so many sites in the 3 hours. We learned so much and the 3 hours went by so fast. Even rain didn’t deter how good it was. . Highly recommend!
Bob was an excellent guide. Very informative & great stories.
Rachel was great!! Love the positivity
This was such an excellent tour. It was the perfect blend of history, culture, and orientation to the city. Rachel was our guide and she was very knowledgeable and funny. The tour is three hours, but you are not walking the entire time. It is paced well and the time really flies by! Great way to get a strong overview of CPH…Highly recommend this tour and I hope Rachel is your guide!
We had a group of six with Berna as our guide, who was outstanding. She had a deep knowledge of Swedish history told in story telling fashion. Throughout the 3 hour tour, her narrative of the sites was sprinkled with insights into present day culture. This was a far better way to see Stockholm for a very reasonable price versus those large cruise ship tours.
Highly recommend to start out your stay in Copenhagen.
We did the tour with Karoline and she was amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. My family had a great time!
Great walking tour - best way to get one’s bearings in a new city. August, our guide, was super knowledgeable on history, but also funny and up to date on current affairs, social history and music, so great conversations all round. Can thoroughly recommend! 🙌🏼
I really enjoyed this solo tour with Marco, who was an extremely patient guide with excellent knowledge of the city
Daniele Forno was fabulous! Informative, fun, helpful, friendly. He speaks perfect English too. We had the best tour of Copenhagen with him on our 1st morning in the city and got a great understanding of Danish history and which sites to visit during our stay. Thank you, Daniele x
Excellent tour - very knowledgeable guide and saw aspects of Copenhagen we would otherwise have missed. Highly recommend
This is our second time with Daniel and he was even better than first time! So many things to learn in this amazing 3 hours tour. Definitely worth the money and time. For every recommendation 🙏
Alex was a phenomenal tour guide. He was friendly, informative and clearly committed to ensuring that we had fun and came away with an understanding of why he loves Compenhagen. We would highly recommend him!
Morgan was wonderful! My family and I really enjoyed walking the city and hearing about all the Copenhagen history. She was very knowledgeable and recommended some fantastic places and things to do. We really recommend this private tour.
Morgan was very knowledgeable about her city and country and gave me a wonderful overview. I used her recommendations of other places to see and visit, and all were excellent. Highly recommend her.
Jose was the perfect host for our tour of this most wonderful city. He was warm, welcoming and so knowledgeable about the history and culture of Copenhagen and the people of Denmark. We could not have hoped for a better guide, thank you Jose 10/10!
Tom was a superb tour guide for Copenhagen. His English is perfect and he gave our group just the right level of detail for each place of interest. Couldn’t recommend him more. Thank you Tom!
Great morning walking tour with Dan. He knows so much! Not only did I see all of the sights I also learned how to navigate my way around the city. Thanks so much, I definitely recommend.
Michele is knowledgeable with both history & current affairs. Excellent guide that I have. He walked with my pace & check on me constantly as I flew in over 20 hours flight from Sydney, Australia. Very hospitable as host. Above and beyond his duty, he showed me the app & taught me on public transport, even walked me to the station & showed me which train to take. Feeling very good about Copenhagen & people who lives here. Felt welcome & being looked after.
To score Jose fairly I would have to split into two topics. 4-Tour knowledge was very good he reviewed the history of the area and building well. 2- Tour pace, one reason we scheduled a private tour was to have more control of the pace. Unfortunately even though I was always 20 feet behind Jose he never slowed down or even asked if his pace was OK. I felt pulled thought CHP and was in pain from trying to keep up. If scheduling to control the pace do not book this tour.
Jose provided an excellent walking tour of Copenhagen. He provided a good overview of the city, both historically and daily life. His English was excellent, since he grew up in Dallas, Texas. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and would highly recommend exploring Copenhagen with Jose. Amitylux was an easy to book with, provided support when needed, and offered a great excursion at a reasonable price.
It was fun to have Jose, an American-born grad student, as our private guide. He was delightful, very knowledgeable, and personable. We covered a lot of the old city and learned about Danish history and culture. Highly recommend!
