Staying here was a wonderful experience for me. At first, I couldn’t find the hotel because the name had changed to Motel1, which was a bit confusing, but I asked around and confirmed that it was the right place. There was a small issue with the door in my room, and when I mentioned it, they immediately gave me a better room. The room was very clean and comfortable. Thank you so much!

Perfectly located near Copenhagen train station and to the shopping streets. Room was big, fantastic comfortable bed. Big shower, even for two. I would have liked a kettle in the room to cook some tea. The stuff was superb!
My experience staying at this hotel in August 2022 compared to 11 months previously had degraded dramatically — and sadly. In September 2021 it was called the h27 Hotel and was a very lucky find for me. Then I was given a charming, spacious (by European standards) room with distinctive, tasteful decor and art overlooking the quiet courtyard. The staff were attentive, spirited, well-trained and friendly. But on the second visit I was given a room half the size — too small even to accommodate a desk or a fullsize bed as my previous room had — with no view except of other nearby rooms, lacking privacy, so curtains need to be pulled shut. And the room rate had skyrocketed 30% or more. Staff seems to have turned over completely, and not for the better. They now seem less experienced, less seasoned and disinterested in personally taking care of guests as the previous staff did. At the time of my second stay the hotel was rechristened and was called Motel One, which in the U.S. would be a warning as it calls to mind the low-end chain Motel Six - NOT a recommendation. That should have warned me when booking, but I thought the reference was just an unhappy coincidence. If the changes are due to new ownership, they have lost me as a loyal repeat patron. Last year I thought I'd discovered something special, a place in Copenhagen I could turn to reliably again and again, but sadly the charm of h27 has apparently been lost to indifferent and mediocre management that didn't realize they had something a cut above to take pride in. Now it's a few notches below, with pride nowhere to be found.
The hotel is really practical, located close to the metro and in walking distance of everything in the Centre. The rooms are very nice and the showers excellent. So of course since you are in the centre you get a bit of noise from the street at night, but really nothing major, and everything goes dead quite at midnight. So far the hotel is as you would expect from an hotel of good standing in a major city. BUT, what distinguishes this hotel from others in its class is its staff. The whole staff was amazing, from reception, to catering, to cleaning. I highly recommend it.
Cute hotel located centrally. Good access to central station and local attractions. Rooms are small but functional with comfort beds though are a little noisy for light sleepers. Breakfast was nice and had a good selection. Staff were nice but some interactions were not overly helpful.
