This review is for the people like me who spend hours trying to find the best place to stay. Firstly - location, easy, you’re next to Fisketorvet, which has great food spots, and great shops, including a convenience store. You are a 5-7 min walk from the metro, or 5 minute walk from the river bus. If you don’t want to use public transport you can get to the main centre of Copenhagen in 10-15 minutes on foot. Secondly - the hotel. It’s on the water, with incredible views, the staff in reception are exceptional at what they do, it’s quick, easy and they are all English speaking, any problems you can ask them, there’s also a bar with a full menu in the lobby. 3 lifts to the floor you need (2 are glass and look cool from the inside). The breakfast. Like any hotel breakfast it’s a buffet, lots of people lots of food, all the food was kept warm, and a great choice of food, personally I’d want more choice of fruit, but besides that they have everything, pastries, warm food (eggs, meat, pancakes, and more), cereals, yogurts, and fresh organic juices! (And obviously hot drinks). The Executive Upgrade… we booked an executive room, which came with a balcony and access to the executive lounge. The executive lounge, was incredible, so it opens at 2pm, you have access to unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks, and depending on the time depends on what other bits you can get, for example 2pm it’s cake! 5pm it’s tapas (cheese, meats etc, all varies by day), and then in the evening when it’s all gone you cos grab nuts, sweets, chocolates etc. I would 10000% recommend this upgrade. My partner and I were out most of the time but we still had time for it. Especially after doing 20-30 thousand steps it was nice to relax and wind down. The Room. It was spacious, comfy, with an incredible view. The best part was the view, and the bath! Huge bath. Our room was really clean, and has the option to be cleaned daily (asked by the staff at reception), but we didn’t need it cleaning every day, you also get access to a fridge with a mini bar in, which our first impression was expensive, but then we went out and noticed the prices are very similar to the shops, so if you want anything from it, it’s worth grabbing. Overall I’d recommend this hotel over the main other ones, as it’s slightly away from the hustle, it’s quiet, while being full, and the staff go above and beyond. I’d like to mention Ana and Raffael, both were the best, Ana for her incredible service at the lobby and Raffael for being so accommodating in the lounge and getting me a hot chocolate! Things I’d change, I’d probably say the lounge time should start earlier with cereals, or just open earlier, a bit more choice, like pastries, but I guess this depends on the day, a few labels on items in there we were eating cheese blind, which was nice but there was a really nice chili one but I don’t know what it’s called! And then another change would be double duvet, we had 2 singles, we didn’t ask to change but in the future it would be nice for them to be in the room already. Overall this hotel is a great stay, affordable (underpriced) for what you get! And we will 1000% be staying again in the future and recommending it to friends and I think that is all down to Raffael for getting me the hot chocolate and Ana helping from start to finish. Thanks Copenhagen Island for making our holiday special! Obi.

Our usual hotel in København; we've stayed here three times and are likely to return. The rooms are spacious and provide a fridge (with minibar; we ignore it or have it emptied). Rooms facing the harbour are a little more expensive but have good views. Excellent breakfast buffet, but can be busy - the hotel seems to accommodate coach tours who all want to eat and depart at once. Handy for the Fisketorget mall, with a great food court, and two metro stations covering different lines. It's about 20 mins walk to the main railway station or 30 mins to the city centre. There's bike rental; we haven't tried it. I recommend booking directly with the hotel for better prices; we had a free upgrade to a harbour-facing room this time.
I told them a month in advance, that I'll be arriving with my dog and want a quiet room. I got the answear, that it was fine with information regarding my dog. I checked in and they forgot about my message and told me "you are lucky we have a room for you". For your information. I paid in advance and they forgot about my message. They gave me a room that was the opposit of what I asked for. The view was nice but the rooms have brocken furniture and are not soundproof. My first room was close to the elevators and the stairs and it was far too loud. And the rooms were declared soundproof. The doors are too thin and don't close properly (can see under them). The second room was quieter by environmental change and I got two nightstands, but still very used furniture with chipped wood or ripped bed cover. And even after talking with the staff, that told me the room would be cleaned daily, housekeeping told me that I was not on the list and I got my room cleaned ones during a 1-week-stay after I begged the housekeeping to do it. Never had so many problems with a hotel especially with that price. Never coming back and cannot recommend it.
Excellent location: calm and close enough to the city to explore Copenhagen comfortably. I especially enjoyed the terrace overlooking the canal- it adde a beautiful and relaxing feeling to the stay. The hotel was perfectly clean, and the staff were polite and professional. Everything felt well maintained and throughly organized. I also want to mention the comfort of the bed: the mattress and pillows were very good. The only reason I would not give the hotel a full 5-stars raiting is the breakfast. It was acceptable, but not fully met my expectations for a hotel of this level and price. Overall I had a very good stay and I would recommend this hotel, especially for its location, cleanliness, canal view and comfortably rooms.
Good: not bad location. Staff are overall polite and quite friendly! Price not as expensive as hotels in Copenhagen central station. Not so good: curtains were thin and does not block out light at all. Tap water is slightly sedimentary and I’m not sure whether ok to drink. Staff however let me change the kettle to a new one though the water remained sedimentary(guess it was the tap water issue). Breakfast is average and I prefer eating outside though prepaid for them. We also have to book housekeeping daily, it didn’t come automatically which was a surprise. Overall it’s an average hotel.
