Best Sunrise Tour: This tour begins by meeting your party at your lodge in Estes Park or at the Estes Park Visitor Center before sunrise and proceeding directly into Rocky Mountain National Park to breathtaking views looking east to greet the rising sun. We’ll take our time getting back stopping often to enjoy the scenery while we observe and photograph birds & animals, plants & geology and then arriving in Estes Park just in time for breakfast.

Bruce is among the very best tour guides we have had on any trip, anywhere. He is deeply knowledgeable about the Rockies and is a pleasure to spend time with. He took us on a beautiful, early morning, guided hike, sharing history and context as he drove us from our hotel to the parking area for our hike. He kindly shifted his plan once we shared where we had been/what we had seen on the previous day. Throughout the morning, he taught us about the history and nature of the area, and he graciously offered to take some lovely photos of our family along the way. We would be very happy to take another tour with Bruce in the future.
Ron, our tour guide, was fabulous. He asked for input in tour destinations and delivered an amazing Sunrise Tour of RMNP. The SUV was very comfortable and we had lots of opportunities to get out and explore. Ron’s knowledge of the Park is outstanding.

You need to get there early to see the sunrise but it is well worth it. Views were amazing. Great experience.

We visited Estes Park for the first time during Memorial Day weekend 2026 and decided to schedule a sunrise tour of RMNP since we were unfamiliar with the area. Sarah picked us up at Stonebrook Resort, where we were staying, at 5:10 a.m. Since it was early on Memorial Day, we did not need to pay an entrance fee or schedule timed entry into the park. Sarah took us up to Many Parks Curve and pointed out the numerous peaks in the distance to the northwest while describing various points of interest below. The sun rose quietly in the east, making the entire experience peaceful and beautiful. She drove us as far as Rainbow Curve, where the road was closed, then walked us farther up the road so we could take in additional views. Throughout the trip, Sarah shared local history, explained natural events over the past century that have shaped the park, and answered our many questions. We were also lucky enough to see several bull and cow moose near their calves, bull elk, bighorn rams, and even a Colorado pika. The tour lasted approximately three hours and ended back at our lodging. We highly recommend Sunrise Tours of Rocky Mountain National Park to anyone looking for a quiet, memorable experience of RMNP in all its natural beauty. Sarah was an amazing and knowledgeable guide, and her insight, warmth, and familiarity with the park made the tour even more special.
Bruce was fantastic. Picked us up at our hotel at 5:30 in the morning and drove us through the park where we visited Dream Lake, Bear Lake, and Sprague Lake. He even provided spikes for shoes and poles. Very very knowledgeable at the park. We were there off-season, and he provided us very valuable information that prevented us from having to wait in a two hour car line to get into the park the day before. Highly recommended!

This was our favorite part of our Colorado vacation. Bruce drove us to parts of the park we had not been to yet. He was both knowledgeable and entertaining. We stayed in the Bear Lake Road area after the tour and were able to see both Moose and Elk up close, too. I highly recommend this tour. You won't regret it!

Bruce was an exceptional tour guide and very accommodating. Due to a large winter storm the previous day, we were able to try out snow shoeing which was a blast! Bruce had all the gear we needed. On top of that Bruce is extremely knowledgeable! Answered all of our curious questions about wildlife, history and the park. In addition, I proposed to my now fiancée during the tour with the help of Bruce and cannot recommend the tour enough. No matter what season you will be in for a treat. Plenty of amazing photos to take and Bruce is more than happy to take some family photos! If you do find yourself up in Estes Park this tour is a must!
Bruce, our tour guide, picked us up at our hotel as promised. The Sunrise tour was a good choice as the park was not crowded at that hour. He brought us to areas where we could see Elk in their habitat. He shared info about the plant /tree growth in different elevations ( tundra) . He brought us to the continental divide. This tour was a great way to see the park if you’re short on time! Our guide, Bruce, picked us up promptly at 5:30am and took us into the park while it was still dark and the animals were just beginning to stir. I recommend the sunrise tour because for awhile, you’re pretty much the only people around. Of course, seeing the sun rise over the mountain peaks is an unforgettable experience as well. Bruce was fun to talk to and knew absolute everything about the area, especially the local wildlife. We saw tons of animals, got some great pictures, and learned a ton. Highly recommended!
Bruce was fantastic! He provided everything he promises and more! We started out the morning with a beautiful sunrise from the best point in the park, spent a good chunk of the time snowshoeing off trail where we were able to see elk and tracks of other wildlife, then finished off the tour with a quick drive through a couple of historic points in Estes Park. Throughout the our, Bruce provided facts about the nature and wildlife of the park, the history of the park, and history of the town of Estes Park. I felt safest all times and all equipment was provided for a stress-free experience.
