Smooth Alpaca Palooza In Colorado

Wow, what an amazing experience. I wish we could have spent the whole day there! Everything was absolutely perfect! Getting to bring home a small alpaca made from the alpaca fluff of the alpacas we pet and fell in love with was just the cherry on top! Would absolutely recommend you book this experience!

We took our grandsons, ages 7 and 9. They loved it and so did we. So much fun and a unique experience. Only wish Joe would have waited until everyone had gathered to start talking. Just a minor thing in the overall experience.

Throughly enjoyed the tour! Joe was a great host and kept the group engaged and entertained. Especially liked the feeding and petting of the alpacas and healthy goats. As an added bonus, the red rocks amphitheatre is a stone throw away. Highly recommend. Aloha and mahalos Joe!

Such a fun experience to coexist with the Alpaca's for an hour! Joe is knowledgeable and easy going and the backdrop was great! Would definitely recommend!

I went with my 21 year old daughter. She lit up like she was 10. The interaction with the animals is amazing and the host was extremely kind and knowledgeable. Highly recommend

This experience is one of our all time favorite things to do when we visit Colorado. This was our third time at this awesome experience. Joe, the owner loves his animals and is super knowledgeable. You will learn a lot and have your heart warmed at the same time.

What a great experience! Joe is thoughtful about the meet up location so he meets you in an easily accessible place and guides you the short distance to the ranch. Once there he offers a few different activities and moves at the pace of the group. It is clear that he truly cares about the animals and wants others to care about them also. I learned that alpacas are quite smart as Joe shared so many interesting pieces of information. The most impressive thing was at departure. There is a small store at the ranch and Joe is very humble about it. He didn’t automatically take us there and expect us to spend money.

I live in Denver and recently took a group of friends who were visiting from out of town to the alpaca experience. Even as a local, I thought it was such a unique and memorable activity, and my friends absolutely loved it. We got to see Red Rocks, and then make our way to the alpaca experience. It was the perfect way to spend time outdoors, and something none of us had done before. Joe was fantastic! He answered all of our questions about the alpacas, shared so much interesting information, and was genuinely warm and welcoming. You can tell he really cares about the animals and creating a great experience for guests. I would highly recommend this experience to both locals and visitors!

Was so much fun to interact with the alpacas and goats. The owner was very nice and didn’t mind answering any questions we asked. The goats were all about the attention and had to show off for us a bit. The alpacas were so soft and friendly.

This alpaca ranch is clean and well run. You can tell Joe takes really good care of the animals and love them like his own kids. The wool products were all lovely as well. He explains any question that a child asks easily.

We had the best time ever playing and feeding the alpacas and goats. The tour guide met us on time at the meeting spot, we followed him over to the ranch and got to meet all the animals. He made sure we knew how to feed them and gave us hay and pellets for the alpacas and then corn for the goats. The goats were like puppy dogs that would rub up on you for pets and scratches.

So much fun and the animals were very gentle and fun to interact with! Our guide was awesome! Definitely recommend!

We had a fabulous time meeting all the alpacas & goats at Smooth Alpaca! We were a group of adults, and it was a fun and interactive experience for all ages. The views alone are worth the trip, but getting to meet all the animals was a unique and memorable experience. It was the perfect thing to do before attending a concert at Red Rocks. 100% recommend going if you are in the Red Rocks area!

We visited Smooth Alpaca Experience as a group of six, ranging in age from 12 to mid-60s, and every one of us absolutely loved it. Joe was wonderful — fun, informative, kind, humorous, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the entire experience engaging for both kids and adults alike. We especially enjoyed getting to know all of the alpacas, along with the hilarious three brother goats who definitely put on a performance for us! We learned so much about alpaca behavior, personalities, eating habits, the shearing process, and the care involved in raising them. It was also fascinating to see the finished alpaca products, including socks, hats, gloves, sweaters, and blankets, and to better understand the process from animal to finished product. Overall, this was a unique, educational, and genuinely enjoyable experience that we would highly recommend. Joe made the day extra special!

Joe was Wonderful! The alpacas were all adorable and sweet! We took so many pictures and really had a great time! Must do!!

If I could give 10 stars, I would. The hospitality at Smooth Alpaca today with my wife, was exceptional, warm, genuine, and unforgettable. You can feel the care in every detail, and the experience goes far beyond expectations. Truly one of a kind.

This was the most interesting and fun experience!! Joe was a wealth of knowledge about alpacas and goats. We enjoyed feeding them, learning about their fur, habits, breeding, industry, farming, etc. It was completely educational and I’d go back again to learn more and spend more time with the animals. The length of the visit was just right and at the end we got to visit the gift shop with alpaca items. I highly recommend this tour!!

It was an amazing experience to learn, to touch and enjoy everything about Alpacas! Joe, farm owner, is a very nice person who is passionate about the Alpacas and is also good at explaining everything you need to know about raising them and caring for them. I truly appreciate his kindness and patience as I couldn’t find the address since I’m not from Colorado.

DON'T MISS THIS Colorado ALPACA EXPERIENCE: Our visit was incredible. My daughter & I had an great time. The awesome alpacas & adorable goats were priceless. One of my goals is to become smarter everyday. Today was no exception. I learned a lot of new & interesting alpaca facts. I ordered a pair of teal alpaca gloves from the online store. Looking forward to wearing them.

We did this experience with 8 of us ages 5-80 (2 teenagers too). It was so much fun and very interactive. We learned more about alpacas and have many laughs and pics to remind us of the day. Highly recommend.

Had an awesome time here.Joe was super and clearly loves what he does.He is very laid back and happy to answer questions.A little advice to those that decide to book this experience:Once you recieve the confirmation of booking in email,read it fully for directions.I know someone that didn't and I,umm I mean "he" wishes he did.

Excellent experience with these sweet and smart creatures. The owners take good care of them like their family. Good for all ages. We fed the alpacas and fun goats and learned so much!

This experience provided us with one of the best mornings we have had. We had plenty of opportunities to feed the alpacas and goats and LOTS of 1:1 time with the alpacas. The experience is also set in a beautiful location. We will be back!
