Rocky Mountain National Park Tour And Picnic

Wow.. so where do I begin. I’ll begin with I have bunions and cankles… I love getting outside and Itai was extremely accommodating with my walking pace, and made me feel like I wasn’t judged for my bow legged strides. Just one look into those oaky brown eyes and I knew I met a fellow explorer!🐻🤠

I went on this tour with my boyfriend, and we both agreed that this was the highlight of our year. Our guide took us to some of the most beautiful landscapes that I’ve ever seen and the added wildlife were just a cherry on top. Please expend to other places so we can take this tour with us everywhere

We had such a great time with Tour the West! The mountain views were so beautiful, and we got to see so many amazing places. Everything was even prettier in person, and we took so many pictures! Our guide Tai was super friendly and made the whole experience really fun. It was such a great day, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Colorado! 😊

We did both the scenic tour and guided hike with our elderly parents, and had a wonderful time! The scenic tour was perfect for enjoying the incredible mountain views and spotting wildlife without too much walking. We especially loved the stops along Trail Ridge Road and the picnic lunch by the lake. On the guided hike, seeing Dream Lake and Emerald Lake up close was a highlight. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and great about making sure everyone was comfortable. It was such a special way to experience Rocky Mountain National Park together as a family. Highly recommend Tour the West!

Beautiful views, great wildlife, super convenient pick up and drop off, super friendly guide.

Holy moly… what a day! It seemed like every single little detail was thought about. My family didn’t have to worry about a planning anything. The pick and drop off was all arranged The admission into the park and into bear lake area was already figured out. The snacks along the way were all organic and super tasty The picnic lunch was beautifully laid out (yumm!) The binoculars to view the wildlife were a huge plus for my group This was an unforgettable day for everybody -Sam

I was beaming with excitement, and our day in the park with our tour guide did not let down. Hands down best way to see the most beautiful area of Colorado.

It was my first time taking a guided tour in Rocky Mtn National Park and I might not ever choose to do it any other way. While I love seeing wildlife, I haven't had much luck spotting animals on my own. On this trip, I saw not JUST birds, deer and elk, but moose and a bear! The guides are knowledgeable and accommodating, and I hope to do this again each season.

We had an excellent time on our tour with Itai from Tour the West. He is remarkably knowledgeable about the area's flora, fauna, and geology, and he shares it with real warmth. We learned about the tectonic forces that shaped the landscape and talked about the Continental Divide, and as a true local, he gave us a depth of insight into the region and broader Colorado that we simply couldn't have gotten on our own. Spending the day with him was a joy. We felt well cared for from pickup to drop-off, with snacks, a thoughtful lunch, and frequent rest stops along the way. He tailored the tour to us rather than running a script, which made it feel personal. And the wildlife was incredible: we saw moose, elk, deer, and plenty of birds, and even heard a pika. His van is top notch, too. It was comfortable, and we were able to keep our phones charged the whole day. We'd recommend Itai and Tour the West without hesitation.

Trip was great. Was confused that Viator was different than trip advisor. Picnic lunch was great, but tripdirector Hans, was the strength of the tour.

Itai was super chill and a great tour guide. Saw my first moose! And plenty of other wildlife. Only downside was that it was Smokey.

My husband, brother-in-law and I attended the Tour the West “Rocky Mountain National Park” tour on August 15th. We had an amazing experience! Originally there were four additional people signed up to take the tour. But the others cancelled at the last minute. Even though we were a small group, Tour the West continued with the tour.   Our guide was super accommodating. We stopped in Estes Park for a breakfast snack, drinks and a bathroom break enroute to the Rocky Mountain National Park. We ordered our lunch food in advance of the tour so we knew we would have a nice lunch!! (We did not know that Tour the West would provide even a tablecloth on our picnic table.) Our guide provided interesting information about the general area in addition to the park .Since he grew up in the area, he was able to provide detailed information about the region in general and his personal experiences. Each person was provided binoculars for enhanced viewing of the terrain and wildlife. In addition, he had a high-resolution camera that captured videos of the wildlife we observed. Subsequently, he sent us a copy of the video. On our return to our hotel in Boulder, he stopped at the renowned Stanley Hotel in Estes Park for us to experience. (The Stanley Hotel is where Stephen King experienced a nightmare that inspired the novel The Shining.)   We had a great experience and would recommend taking any of the Tour the West excursions in the future!! Itai is a wonderful tour guide who makes everything delightful for his guests. He picked us up in front of our hotel in Boulder and returned us later. His knowledge of the park and surrounding area brought all of it to life for us. He was able to answer all of our questions even while showing us all of the points of interest on the tour. His vehicle is new and super comfortable Itai's tour is great and we would highly recommend to everyone.

We had such a great time with Tour the West. Our guide was super easy to talk to and knew a ton about Rocky Mountain National Park without making it feel like a lecture. We saw elk, some amazing views, and stopped at a bunch of places we never would’ve found on our own. The picnic lunch was a nice surprise too. Definitely one of the best days of our trip and I’d book with them again.

What an incredible tour of Rocky Mountain National Park! Certainly the highlight of our trip to Colorado. A Colorado family trip has been on our bucket list for years and this year we finally made it a reality. So glad we booked Tour The West to navigate us through RMNP! Was invaluable to have someone with experience drive the winding roads and focus on safety so that my husband could just sit back and enjoy instead of concentrating on the road. Itai our guide was so personable, and made us feel comfortable right away. His knowledge of the park system ensured we didn’t have to focus on any of the logistics and could just enjoy the breathtaking sights! Loved that he knew so much about the wildlife (including the best places to spot the different species!), the ecosystem, and the history of the mountain range - it really added to the tour. We got WAY more than just some great views and pretty pictures! There wasn’t a question related to the park that he couldn’t answer! The booking process was very easy to navigate, and communication with us leading up to the trip was top notch. Lunch, snacks & water were provided, as were binoculars for viewing wildlife and the scenic landscape. Truly a bucket list experience at a great value! Don’t know if we’ll ever make it back to the west, but if we do, booking another of Tour The West’s excursions (like Garden of the Gods & will be at the top of our to- do list!

My dear friend and I experienced a wonderful tour to Rocky Mountain National Park today with Itai. It exceeded my expectations! We were picked up at our hotel on time, and stopped at a great coffee shop/bakery on the way. During our tour of the park, Itai did everything he could to make sure we saw everything we wanted to, and more! He is very knowledgeable about the area and shared that knowledge with us. Highly recommend!!

He knew all the best spots and shared a lot of interesting information without making it feel like a scripted tour. The whole experience felt relaxed and personal. We got to see incredible scenery, plenty of wildlife, and some places we never would have found on our own. It was nice not having to worry about driving or planning anything. If you’re thinking about booking a tour, do it. Spending the day with Itai was one of the highlights of our trip.

Every year I book an excursion for my team. We usually try to do something outdoorsy like mountain biking or a rafting trip. This year we decided to book this tour. Everybody agreed it was the best excursion yet. Everybody was able to participate which wasn’t the case in the past. Thank you for getting this set up for us. We had an amazing experience touring Rocky Mountain National Park with Eti as our guide. He was friendly and clearly passionate about the park and its wildlife.
