Itinerary
We will walk past and Your guide will tell you the history and stories connected with the Capitol
We do not enter the museum, but will pass by and the history and stories of Molly Brown recounted
With its Art Deco architecture, each home on the block was named after a different writer or poet, bringing about a world of charm. From this location you will get a great view of the Colorado State Capitol, as an added bonus. Poets Row is the heart of the Sherman Street Historic District, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. Plus I will tell all of the sordid tales that took place on this block...
The Crawford Hill Mansion, Home to Denver's Queen Bee of Society, her stories make soap operas look tame! Let me tell them all to you and also the strange stories about those who seemingly still remain...
The Peabody-Whitehead Mansion, one of the two most haunted houses in Denver, the other appearing later on our tour. I shall tell you the history of this house and it's residents and the stories of all the spooky happenings here.
The Creswell Mansion, now the Marijuana Mansion, due to it's place in history in legalizing Marijuana, is a fascinating stop on our tour. From it's history, to it's eclectic design, to the many ghost stories that seem to surround it.
Millionaire's Row, this is the most haunted street in Denver. These historic mansions act as a facade for restless spirits. In the late 1800’s the wealthy of Denver flocked to “Millionaires Row” on “Quality Hill,” where they outdid each other, constructing luxurious mansions. Architecture that incorporated a variety of classical styles was noted for its flamboyance became known as the “Denver Style.” Each owner whimsically added turrets, spires and porches and the finished home rarely bore any resemblance to the original design. We will look at these beautiful homes that still remain and you will hear the history and stories associated with them and the echoes of the spirits that are said to dwell here.
This beautiful, historic property is a photographer's dream. Illuminated lighting gives this place an ethereal feel. Located in the most haunted neighborhood in Colorado, this place has a story to tell and I will tell them... This elegant Richardsonian Romanesque and Queen Anne residence was one of the last homes constructed before the Silver Crash of 1893.
The Pennborough, once twin mansions, they were purchased by the infamous Dr Tilden, and a wing built to join them and the entire complex then served as a tuberculosis home. I shall tell the stories of the strange goings on here.
Also known as the The Croke-Patterson Mansion, this is the second of the two most haunted houses in Denver. Get comfy on this corner because there are so many tales to tell, so many restless spirits to speak of...
If these walls could talk...this place was the epicenter of Denver's former bohemian period. This former hotel became the playground of the Hollywood elite, as well as eccentric poets, such as Jack Kerouac (famous writer of the book and movie, entitled "On the Road"), Neil Cassidy, Allen Ginsberg, and James Burroughs. Stories of haunts are often talked about, by former and current employees of the notorious Denver bar, Charlie Brown's, which is located on property. Since 1928 this bar has virtually stayed the same. This is one of the favorite stops for the likes of Bill Murray and Tony Bennett. I shall tell you all the history and stories about this place and our tour ends here... may I suggest a cocktail in the haunted bar...

Great time learning about the history of Denver and the people who founded the city. We spent ample time outside each destination, and moved at the perfect pace. Madame B was a delight, as we were the only two on the tour she worked the tour to our schedule. She was knowledgeable and thorough in her story telling. Would recommend!!
Madam B was delightful and wonderfully knowledgeable. She knew all the inside scoop! I would recommend this tour!
Can be hot, so bring hat, water, etc. Since it's a walking tour it's sometimes hard to hear. Learned a lot about a Denver neighborhood I didn't know much about, and saw some beautiful mansions.
Jules was excellent, met us on time, offered parking and restaurant ideas. We walked interesting historical neighborhood with great stories.
Our tour guide was very kind and dressed up! We had a small intimate group. It was lovely. Contact the owner for the time of the tour - she is easy to get in touch with.
Good mix of history and ghost stories in Denver's historic mansion district. Tour guide Jules is very personable and clearly enjoys telling stories.
Madame DuBois (Jules) was so much fun and had a plethora of stories and made this such a good experience
Madame DuBois was very informative and entertaining! We learned so much history about the Cap Hill area of Denver. Would definitely recommend to others.
Jules (Madame Dubois) was our guide and she is a wonderful storyteller. We loved the tour - was fun and we learned a lot, and she also played along with our plan for a surprise engagement!
This tour was FANTASTIC! Very informative and interesting. Our tour guide Jules was awesome. I highly recommend this tour.
High school girlfriends all from Denver went on a fantastic tour of old Denver! Fantastic tour guide who was so full of knowledge, history and fun facts none of us knew about our city! Madam DeBois is a must!
Julia had vast knowledge and made our tour a wonderful experience! Our entire group left with a greater knowledge and appreciation of Denver history. We will definitely seek her out in the future.
My husband and I enjoyed our walk. Jules shared many stories about the residents that still roam their homes. The history of Denver came alive with the details of the past. Jules was well informed and at the end we enjoyed a fancy drink at the 12 Spirit Bar at the Patterson home. Great tour!
Our group of seven enjoyed learning about spooky and interesting historical families and houses in Denver Colorado. Areas of Denver came alive as we heard of the fortunes and misfortunes through the 1800s and beyond. We saw two of the most haunted locations in Denver and shivered imagining encountering the spirits. Members of our party were unable to hear sections as our tour guide was difficult to hear and talked while walking. It would have been better if the tour guide backed to the house and talked so guests could hear and look at the location at the same time.
Loved the beautiful mansions and the stories of those who lived in them. Madame DuBois was delightful!
Had a lovely time. Saw some beautiful historical houses and learned all the spooky details of the people who lived in them.
Excellent walking tour, breathtaking historic mansions with a detailed story behind each one ! Felt like I was back in time over 120 years !! Guide presented details on each style of architecture !! Learned so much ! thank you !
Julia was very informative and was amazing! This made for a really good Christmas gift for my mom. She was very happy
Excellent tour. Fascinating history and spooky stories. A great tour of the architecture of the historic mansions of old Denver.
Madam’s tour was amazing! From the beautiful, historical houses and the gripping stories that accompany them. Madam’s ability to engage and involve us in the rich history of Denver is truly a gift. I felt as though I was I was in vacation in my own city! I want to thank her again for such a gorgeous and fun evening!
We had a great little adventure! My fiance isn't local but I am so we thought this would be a fun way to explore the city. It was very fun and entertaining and I learned a ton even though I've lived here my whole life. Madame Dubois is an amazing guide and really made the whole experience unique
