Denver Walking Tour: Women’s History & Downtown Highlights

Such a wonderful and enriching tour! I learned so much about Denver’s rich history. I highly recommend this tour and Hayley is so sweet!

Nice overall, but felt more like separate/disconnected info about different landmarks in downtown. It'll be better if there's a broader thread about the city's history to connect all the dots.

Mimi was my guide, who is very kind and easy to approach. I enjoyed all the introduction of different buildings, but I think there could be a more comprehensive thread about the city's history to really link all sectors together. For now it felt more like separate/disconnected pieces of info on different architectures.

Great brief history of Denver and I like the collab with the Center for CO Women’s History. I appreciated that Haley found shady stops on a hot day, and even some with AC and water.

We were all very disappointed in the tour. The tour guide had no theme to her tour, she simply read off of a script and she had very little knowledge about Denver.

The tour itself was excellently paced with a great mix of historic tidbits and modern culture. Hayley is a wealth of knowledge. I enjoyed learning about the local architects and the evolution of Larimer Square. Highly recommend her to anyone visiting the city!

Phenomenal walking tour of women’s history and Denver’s past and present. Kristina took us on an extraordinary tour through time, providing an engaging commentary about the people, places and events that shaped Denver as we now know it.

Our guide was excellent. She knew the area well and our stops were well chosen. I would look for other tours by Viator.

Our guide, Bruce, had a wealth of information to share. His love for the state of Colorado was authentic. The length of the tour was just right, and the stops we made were beneficial in making Colorado history come alive for us. We have done walking tours in other major cities, and this one was among the best!

I lived in Denver as a child and remembered some landmarks-Bruce brought the city to life with its eclectic history and his deep personal roots to the city/state. My husband wasn’t excited about going on this tour but ended up loving it. Bruce was a very informative tour guide and had answers to our questions and curiosities. He was the perfect guide to a perfect tour.

I have lived in denver for over a decade but I really hadn’t ever gotten a cohesive sense of its history or the layout of downtown so this put a lot of pieces together for me. And it took the pressure off of me to entertain and inform my family about what’s special and interesting in Denver. Highly recommend!

I took a historical walking tour in Denver, and it was such a fun way to see the city. The guide was super knowledgeable and had tons of great stories about Denver’s past—from the gold rush days to the growth of the city we see now. Tour guide Kristina. made the tour exciting and fun and highly recommend taking this tour with her We got to check out some really cool old buildings downtown, like the Brown hotel and a few hidden gems I probably would’ve walked right past if I wasn’t on the tour. I loved how the guide highlighted small details that made you feel like you were stepping back in time. The walk itself was easy, with plenty of stops for photos and questions, so it never felt rushed. I left with a whole new appreciation for Denver’s history (and a list of spots I want to go back to and explore more). If you’re visiting Denver—or even if you live here and want to see the city in a different way—I’d definitely recommend going on this tour with Kristina. It’s a mix of history, storytelling, and just a great way to spend a couple of hours outdoors.

Today’s tour through Denver exceeded mine and my family’s expectations. Kristina was well informed with all kinds of fun facts and intricate details about the city, the state and the territory. Our favorite part was her willingness to have deeper discussions about the details we wanted to learn more about. She laughed, made good eye contact and spoke towards us making it easier to hear the things she was saying.
