Let me start by saying I’m being kind by giving it 2 stars. When comparing this RiNo food tour to the Delicious Denver Food tour that we were on 2 days prior, this one was a flop. Let’s start with the guide. The guide, Hans, was SUPER BORING. No smiling, and with a monotone voice. Not engaging at all. I don’t know how he was hired for this kind of work. The guide usually sets the tone for the group. He was a failure. Barry, on the other hand, who was our guide on our previous food tour was energetic, engaging, funny and made the experience very enjoyable. Next the food- except for the first establishment, Los Chingones which was presentable and the taco was very good, as well as the Denver Food Market which was also acceptable, the other stops were dumpy and the food terrible. I DO NOT recommend this tour nor the guide.

Itinerary
We kick off our RiNo Arts District Food Tour at Los Chingones, a playful, high-energy taquería that embodies the bold spirit of this neighborhood. Chef Troy Guard’s modern Mexican concept isn’t afraid to push boundaries—expect tacos piled high with inventive fillings like pork belly, cactus, or tequila shrimp, paired with house salsas that range from mild to “face-melting.” The vibe is colorful and edgy, much like the murals and street art that surround it, with rooftop views and a lively atmosphere that set the tone for exploring RiNo. Starting here gives us a taste of the creativity that fuels this district, where art, food, and culture collide in surprising ways. With every bite, Los Chingones captures the neighborhood’s energy: unapologetically fun, fiercely local, and bursting with flavor. It’s the perfect first stop to spark the appetite and dive headfirst into the deliciously eclectic world of RiNo.
Our tour takes us into Denver Central Market, the RiNo food hall that showcases some of the city’s top culinary talent, and straight to Vero for their signature ricotta gnocchi. Unlike the heavier potato-based version, these gnocchi are made with fresh ricotta, giving them a pillowy, melt-in-your-mouth texture. They’re pan-seared to a golden crisp, then finished in a rich sauce that balances indulgence with lightness. Vero, run by Denver’s acclaimed chef Andrea Frizzi, has become a local favorite for Italian classics with a modern twist, and the gnocchi are a perfect example of how simple ingredients can transform into something extraordinary. Eating this dish in the bustling food hall setting adds to the experience—surrounded by butchers, bakers, coffee roasters, and chocolatiers, guests get a true taste of Denver’s thriving food community. It’s a stop that feels both intimate and vibrant, tying Old World craft to the new energy of the city.
As we make our way between stops, we’ll pass through the heart of the RiNo Arts District—short for River North—a neighborhood that has become Denver’s epicenter of creativity. Once an industrial zone of factories and warehouses, RiNo has transformed into a vibrant canvas, where nearly every wall is splashed with murals, graffiti, and street art. The district’s motto is “Where Art Is Made,” and it shows in every block: studios, galleries, breweries, and restaurants all spill into the streets with color and energy. Walking here is like stepping into an outdoor gallery, with new works constantly appearing alongside long-standing community pieces. It’s this blend of grit and imagination that gives RiNo its signature character. On our tour, we’ll soak up not just the flavors of the neighborhood, but also its artistic pulse—proof that in Denver, food and art thrive side by side.
In RiNo, we stop at Bierstadt Lagerhaus, Denver’s temple to traditional German brewing. Inside their cavernous beer hall, long communal tables and soaring ceilings make you feel like you’ve stepped into Munich. The star here is the slow pour pils—a painstakingly crafted lager poured over several minutes to build a thick, creamy head that softens bitterness and unlocks delicate malt and hop flavors. It’s a ritual worth the wait, and one of the most celebrated beers in Colorado. To go with it, guests enjoy authentic smoked German sausages with mustard on sauerkraut. This pairing captures the joy of German beer culture while highlighting Denver’s own world-class brewing scene. At Bierstadt, it’s not just about drinking or eating—it’s about experiencing a tradition that values patience, craft, and community.
As our tour winds through the River North Art District, we’ll pass one of Denver’s most meaningful landmarks: Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Built in 1890, this red-brick beauty is the city’s oldest continually operating Catholic parish and an anchor for Denver’s early immigrant communities. While we don’t step inside on the tour, its striking steeple and Gothic Revival details always spark conversation. Sacred Heart served railroad workers, Irish, Italian, and Mexican families who helped shape this neighborhood long before it became known for murals and breweries. The church still holds services in both English and Spanish today, a reminder that RiNo’s food and culture have always been rooted in diversity and community. Stopping here connects the past with the present—showing how faith, immigration, and resilience are as much a part of Denver’s story as art and food. It’s a moment to pause and look up before diving back into RiNo’s buzzing culinary scene.
Our second stop takes us to Redeemer Pizza, recently named one of Denver’s 25 Best Restaurants by 5280 Magazine. This RiNo hotspot has earned its reputation by reimagining the New York slice with chef-driven creativity and top-quality ingredients. The slices are big, foldable, and perfectly blistered, with weekly rotating specialties that keep locals coming back—think pepperoni with housemade mozzarella one week, then burrata with hot honey or seasonal market veggies the next. No matter the topping, the foundation is flawless: chewy crust, tangy sauce, and the smoky char that makes a true slice unforgettable. The vibe is casual and fun, a reflection of RiNo’s energy, making it the perfect place to pause mid-tour for something both comforting and cutting-edge. At Redeemer, Denver proves it can match East Coast pizza traditions while carving out its own bold, flavorful identity.
A highlight of our tour is Denver Central Market, the vibrant food hall at the heart of the RiNo Arts District. Housed in a restored 1920s warehouse, this marketplace brings together some of Denver’s most talented chefs, bakers, and artisans under one roof. Guests step into a lively space buzzing with energy—chalkboard menus, the smell of fresh bread, sizzling skillets, and colorful displays of chocolates, gelato, and produce. Each vendor here specializes in their craft, from wood-fired pizza and handmade pasta to fresh seafood, coffee, and charcuterie. It’s the perfect place to see how Denver’s culinary scene thrives on collaboration and creativity. On our tour, we’ll sample one of the market’s standout bites while soaking in the atmosphere of a space that feels part European market hall, part community gathering spot. Denver Central Market captures the eclectic spirit of RiNo: bold, diverse, and always evolving.
We wrap up the tour on a sweet, seasonal note at High Point Creamery, Denver’s beloved small-batch ice cream shop. Known for its inventive flavors and commitment to quality, High Point treats dessert like an art form, balancing classic comfort with creative twists. Instead of the usual vanilla or chocolate, guests might find themselves savoring scoops like basil with blackberry swirl, brown butter pecan, or earl grey with shortbread. Each flavor highlights fresh, often local ingredients, and the menu changes with the seasons—ensuring there’s always something new to discover. The texture is rich and creamy, the flavors layered and surprising, leaving a refreshing finish to our culinary journey. Ending with High Point is about more than dessert: it’s about celebrating playfulness and craftsmanship, the perfect capstone to a tour that explores the many ways Denver brings bold ideas and big flavors to the table.

Austin was amazing. Really had fun!!
It was a beautiful afternoon and the guide gave a great walking tour of the neighborhood murals between food stops. Our group was a lot of fun.
Very informative of the painted murals and delicious food stops. Austin was very entertaining. We were provide wirh information about the artist and meaning about each mural. Each food stop was described by the ownership/chef and method of preparation. All we're absolutely delicious and creative pizza with squash, Gouda cheese, honey and kale...oh yes! Gnocchi to die for, and so much more!! We were sent home with a Cronut, yum! From start to finish so worth it.
What a fun tour! Not only did we get great food but we also saw some great street art! The tour guides were very informative, friendly and just fun. I would suggest going on the tour early in your trip because they gave us so many ideas of what to do in Denver.
Food was great Information and art very interesting Highly recommend tour guide was interesting and excellent
Nate was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the food scene in the entire Denver area! Great food and fun!
We had a great time on the food tour. Enjoyed all of the art work in the RINO area of Denver. Food was excellent. Our tour guide, Forrest, did a great job.
The overall experience was great, as was the friendly, affable guide, Austin. He made everyone comfortable and really works hard getting everyone what they needed. For me the food was perfect; for my husband and two boys, it was light. But that’s for big eaters — so if you go into it knowing it’s a tasting, not really about getting stuffed like teen boys like to do lol, it’s just perfect. There’s extra time at the German brew house, which is super fun for kids — giant cornhole and games and a really fun atmosphere — was probably everyone’s favorite stop! Overall, it’s a great 3 hours of family time and I recommend it ☺️
We loved our tour with Forrest. He taught us about the RiNo Arts District, walking us throughout the neighborhood with stops for some delicious food. Along the way, he also stopped at several murals, teaching us about local artists, politics, and history. It was a really great combination for a fun afternoon tour. Highly recommend!
This tour was awesome! We had the BEST tour guide - Austin Shrader. His knowledge of and enthusiasm for the area raised an informative, tasty tour from just an outing to an experience. We highly recommend this tour - ask for Austin!
This was such a fun and tasty experience! Austin was a very knowledgable and kind guide. The area was also very cool. The murals were wonderful fun to look at. Highly recommend this tour!
What a great experience getting to know the city. Our guide Austin was very knowledgeable, approachable and all around a perfect guide. The spots we visited were exactly what we expected. Would definitely recommend.
We spent the afternoon with Austin, what a great host! He was friendly, courteous and well liked by the restaurateurs we visited. He provided a well rounded tasting, talking about what made their food interesting, their start up stories, history of Denver’s development and renewal, reinvention of RiNo. He is congenial and personable and made us feel very comfortable, it was like spending the afternoon with a friend. Thank you, Austin for a great time.
Austin was very informative and so nice!! He made us feel welcomed and we learned alot about the food and art district! We definitely recommend! The food was fabulous!
Denver Dan is the MAN! Great food, drinks, history, murals, and overall experience.
What a fabulous time with Denver Dan! Loved his energy and stories about the Rhino art scene and food. We learned so much and tasted amazing plates. At the end, Denver Dan even gave recommendations for restaurants based on our favorite foods! Definitely recommend this tour company and guide.
Dan was a great guide and all the food choices were delicious!
The Rhino Denver food tour with Hans was a delight. Well organized, yummy food stops, lots of street art. Hans made time to give everyone written recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area.
Wonderful guide who gave us info on Denver food scene and the history to go along with it. Learned a lot and had a great time sampling. Would certainly recommend!
Fantastic mix of food, history, and art. We loved the experience and our guide, Austin, is one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had.
Came on the tour during our work trip to Denver. Austin was a great guide and I learned a lot about the food scene.
Review Courtesy of BnB Supper Club ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Experience | ⭐️⭐️ Food We had a great time on the Delicious Denver Food Tour, and a huge part of that was our guide, Austin. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and shared interesting facts about Colorado's food scene and the RiNo Art District (Fun Fact: RiNo stands for River North). The neighborhood itself was one of the highlights of the day. RiNo is packed with incredible murals and public art from local and international artists, making the walk between stops just as enjoyable as the stops themselves. Our group's favorite food item was the very first stop at Los Chingones. The Adobo Chicken Taco was easily the standout bite of the tour, and the house margarita was hands-down the best drink we had all day. One of the most memorable surprises wasn't even an official stop. Between locations, we sampled the Colombia Love coffee drink from Arrerios Cafe Colombia. It was creamy, smooth, and delicious, and learning about the family-grown Colombian beans made it even more special. Definitely worth seeking out. Dave's favorite food stop was Redeemer Pizza, where the pepperoni slice was the clear winner. All four of us opted to add the alcoholic beverage package to our tour. Unfortunately, aside from the margarita at Los Chingones, the drinks didn't really stand out to us. In fact, we found ourselves ordering additional beverages at several locations, and by the end of the afternoon the experience felt a little more like a fun neighborhood bar crawl than a food tour. We also visited Denver Central Market and Bierstadt Lagerhaus, both of which were enjoyable places to spend time. Bierstadt had a lively atmosphere with giant cornhole, oversized beer pong, plenty of seating, and a big-screen. While the food and drink offerings were about 2 stars for our group, the overall experience was easily 5 stars. Austin did an excellent job introducing us to a neighborhood we probably wouldn't have explored on our own. If you're visiting Denver, we highly recommend spending a day in RiNo. Come for the murals, the local character, and the chance to discover some hidden gems. Austin made the experience enjoyable from start to finish, and that was ultimately what made the tour worthwhile. #DenverFoodTour #FoodTour #DenverEats #RiNoArtDistrict @deliciousdenverfoodtour
Absolute please, food was good, and Austin was great. I should have did this tour years ago. I would do this again with people in town visiting.
This was such a fun tour! We were able to try such a wide variety of food. Austin, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about the RiNo area and the beautiful murals everywhere. My husband and I both enjoyed all the food and learning about the area. If you book this tour, come hungry!
Forrest was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food and art an afternoon well spent in Denver
Denver Dan was a great host!! Lots of food and fun!
Cool area of Denver, great food, fun venues, and Denver Dan was the a great host.
Austin was fantastic! Felt like I’ve known him forever. He knew the neighborhood and had great stories about different things on our way to different restaurants. The food was great and loved the whole experience. Would 100000% recommend and would do it again should I be back. Great way to try different things
Forest was nice. Tour was good despite being rainy and cold. We LOVE doing food tours when traveling to new places. Food at our first two stops was good. I’m not cool with family style sharing with strangers, especially when traveling. So I did not appreciate that at the brewery or the final pastry shop. Forest explained the bakery only had a few of what I guess is included so he got a variety and then asked us to share the flavors by cutting the pastries in half. Good allowing us to try flavors but I did not appreciate being asked to cut them (he did it after my husband asked) and again- it’s like sharing a donut with a stranger. Also, because there were multiple flavors everyone didn’t get the same tasting and if we hadn’t mentioned it one guest would have had 2 of the same flavor while everyone else tried two. Food overall was ok. Experience was nice, but a bit awkward honestly at times.
Really appreciate the history of the city and the district and opportunity to see a ton of local art. The food starts off great and keeps getting better!
We had two families and had a great time. Highly recommended!
My partner and I had an absolutely incredible time on this tour. We were visiting family in Fort Collins and decided to spend a night in Denver — and this ended up being one of the best decisions of the trip. We lucked out with what felt like a private experience — just the two of us with our guide, “Denver Dan.” He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and genuinely passionate about the city. Beyond walking us through each stop, he took the time to give us personalized restaurant recommendations tailored to our tastes, complete with fun facts and local history about each spot. Even for the places we didn’t get to visit, he made us feel like we already knew them. The food itself was fantastic — each stop felt intentional and well-curated, showcasing what makes the RiNo neighborhood so special. But honestly, what elevated this from a good food tour to a great experience was Dan himself. His energy, depth of knowledge, and genuine love for Denver were contagious. Whether you’re a first-time visitor trying to get a real feel for the city or a local looking at your own neighborhood through fresh eyes, I can’t recommend this tour enough. We’ll absolutely be back.
The tour was great. Even in the snow Austin kept us moving and entertained. He was a wealth of information and the food was delicious
I was looking for something new to do for a BD outing with my husband and son. We were the only Coloradoans on the tour - it was WONDERFUL! Austin is engaging, full of info, clearly knows the restaurant staff and is super friendly. We all enjoyed the tour and highly recommend.

My family and I had a great time. Our tour guide Austin was easygoing, personable, and knowledgeable. Visiting from California, we learned so much about the history of RINO, Denver, and Colorado in general — all while enjoying terrific eateries and fantastic street art. Thank you!
Austin was a great guide. So knowledgeable and the food choices were excellent.
I loved this tour! Guide Austin passionately and effectively showed my very large group of 10+ around the neighborhood, explaining the history and quirky stories related to the places and our food incredibly well. We had several representative dishes across several establishments, all were amazing. The walks between different places were easy, and we had ample opportunity to look around and learn about the cool murals especially. Overall, this was a great tour, and I have to give Guide Austin and the experience 5 stars!
The tour took place in areas of Denver I have never seen before. The price for the tour was fair. I don't believe I could have eaten and gotten the information about the area if I was by myself. There was 5 in my group - just right. The art on the buildings was very interesting and the food we ate was very good! The Denver Central marketplace was interesting, and I plan to go back again in the summer to check out the produce and maybe make it a day with lunch there and dinner at one of the new places I ate at during the tour. Our tour guide, Forrest, was knowledgeable about the area and where the best art is. The walk was not too long and I would say it was easy to navigate. We plan on finding another tour to take through this company.
We had a great time! All the foods were fabulous and our tour operator, Dan, was informative and engaging. Highly recommend!
This was by far one of the best food tours I’ve ever been on. The food was exceptional at all 5 stops. Our tour guide, Denver Dan was fantastic. He was very personable and knowledgeable.
Hans was great! This guy knows a ton of stuff about a ton of stuff and was so good at moving through our group and including everyone the food was great. I would definitely recommend this tour.!
Food delicious.. Street Art Amazing..Denver Dan , the tour guide, made the tour! Will recommend 100%
We had an amazing time on the RiNo food tour with Denver Dan! From start to finish, Dan was knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about Denver’s food scene and the RiNo neighborhood. He shared great local history, insider tips, and fun stories that made each stop even more enjoyable. The food selections were fantastic, well-paced, and showcased a great variety of local flavors. Dan made everyone feel welcome, kept the tour moving smoothly, and was happy to answer questions or offer recommendations beyond the tour. If you’re visiting Denver or even a local looking to experience RiNo in a new way, I highly recommend this tour—especially if Denver Dan is your host. A truly memorable experience!
Denver Dan was excellent! The food was exactly the type of thing we were looking for and gave us an opportunity to enjoy the RiNo Art district with new friends!
I left a review on Google, but Hans was absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable and showed us some great off the beaten path art work which made the experience feel very personal and curated for the group. Would definite do another tour with this company and would recommend anyone to book this tour to get a deep glance at Denver and all its culture splendor
We had an amazing time with delicious food! Our tour guide Denver Dan did an awesome job and we had a very small group making it even more connective. We learned about the city and the art and had DELICIOUS food! Highly recommend!
An excellent way to learn about the Denver Arts scene while sampling great food along the way. You’ll meet amazing people, taste an array of delicious food, and see murals that will take your breath away. The guide (ours was Nate) will give you insight into the art, the artist, and the impact felt by each installation or art mural. Three hours easily worth the price of admission.
Nate was wonderful and very knowledgeable about both the food in the area and the artwork that surrounded us as we walked along the tour. The links he provided after to make sure we remembered the local restaurants that interested us was a bonus! Food was great, the rum at the pizza place was a bit weird but nice to try new things!
