Denver Haunted Booze And Boos Ghost Walking Tour - Lower Downtown

We really enjoyed learning the history of many of the buildings we’ve been in. Our guide, whose name escapes me, was a very good storyteller, and I would recommend this tour for anyone who loves history and ghost stories. There was ample time made at each stop if anyone wanted a cocktail.

We arrived at the designated starting point 15 minutes early, as recommended. Unfortunately, the tour guide never showed up. We waited an additional 45 minutes just to be absolutely sure. This was supposed to be a fun activity to do with visiting family, so it was not only disappointing but also a bit embarrassing. What made the situation more frustrating was what happened next. When we called to report the issue at the time it was happening (we spent about 15 minutes on the phone), we were met with resistance and asked to provide “documentation” proving the tour guide wasn’t there. We did have proof of our presence, including a bar tab and a parking receipt. Thankfully, our refund was eventually approved - but the process was unnecessarily difficult and time-consuming. In the end, we made our own informal tour of downtown bars and still had a great time. However, based on this experience, we would not book a tour like this through Tripadvisor again.

Do this tour! It was so much fun! Entertaining, educational, and yes, spooky. Whether you’re into the paranormal or not, it’s a must do! And Josh is an absolute must have guide. He’s funny, personable and really has a way of making the stories come alive. That man is a treasure!

Great stories and stops at great historical pubs with bathroom breaks! Great guide! Stops at Union Station and its crazy to see how many people have no idea they are walking by a ghost.

Was ok. Got a little long. Guide was interesting for about the first hour. Pubs were cool. All in all it was alright, but not the best I’ve been on.

Our tour ended up being private since it was just me, my husband, my cousin and her friend that booked, and Tammy took GREAT care of us! Her story telling method is top notch, and she’s so knowledgeable! Our group is a silly bunch, and she played along with our ridiculous-ness. Make sure you request Tammy when you buy tickets! As soon as I find her business card with her Venmo I’m sending her a big ole tip!

Our guide Noah was fun, the bars we stopped at were great. But I would have liked more history and background about Denver. We heard a few anecdotes about the city's early days but mostly just listened to stories specific to the three bars we went to, one bar we walked by, and a quick stop below street level to talk about the city's tunnels. If I had a do-over, I'd pick a different tour. Maybe my expectations are high since I've done these in older cities with more supernatural activity to work with.

Josh made this tour a phenomenal experience from the get go! I’m somewhat of a scaredy cat, but he put me so at ease with his humor and wit! My sister and I were literally laughing all night long. The tour was led by Brynn, who was extremely knowledgeable and accessible. Very spooky and great set of tourists in the group. A great way to see downtown Denver and learn about the raunchy, scandalous, liberatory history of the city.

We have done a few ghost tours on trips and enjoy them. However, we have learned that not all guides are equal. Brynn was definitely one of the great ones. She’s an enthusiastic story teller, personable and seemed to really just enjoy the job. It was great learning some history about a town we didn’t know too much about! Who knew a topless sword-fight was a thing only times Denver? Thanks for an awesome tour! 👻🍻
