We had a friendly driver (James) who gave us a choice of which route to take to Cripple Creek which turned out to be awesome!! Went on roads we had never been on that had the most spectacular aspen viewing we have ever seen!! Thoroughly enjoyed our trip and probably will book next year when we return to Colorado!!

Itinerary
We start our journey driving in Manitou Springs. We will drive through this quant little mountain town and give insights on some things to do there.
We drive the Ute Pass to Woodland Park. This is a scenic drive with many little mountain towns in between. Here we have great views of the north slope of Pikes Peak, America's mountain.
We then drive over the the historic mining town of Cripple Creek, Colorado. There is a lot of history here and great views of the stunning Sangre de Cristo mountain range.
This is where we begin our journey on Shelf Road, one of Colorado's most scenic roads. This is a dirt road that travels through towering canyons and valleys. Once at the end, we turn around and go back.
We return to Manitou Springs the same way we came.
