Brown's Canyon Full Day Rafting

My wife and I had a great time. Snack was our guide and he was very thorough on instructions on how to paddle and other maneuvers for special situations. He also told great stories which made it even more fun. Although the river was lower than normal, we still had a few challenging place going places to get through. I think if the river would have been higher. It would have been more fun. But we will be back. We had a blast! Chuck and Andrea Findley Kansas Coty, MO

Full day rafting trip on the 4th of a July was incredible. Grace was very knowledgeable about the canyon, water, and rocks. Our boat was a powerhouse with Grace as our leader! Macy, Craig, and Mikey also had great energy and made the entire day so much fun! Lunch was fresh and delicious. I look forward to coming back again soon.

Great rafting trip despite the low water conditions! Our guide Craig was the best, very calm through the obstacles, and knowledgeable and always had a positive energy. He was such a good host too, even shared water with us and rafted over to Grace’s raft to steal us some ginger snaps 😀😆 we hope to return one day when the water levels rise.

Grace was such a great guide! She was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and the surrounding nature and was just an all around good time. Lunch was also a major highlight. Will definitely be back!

The full day experience was great, despite of the historic low water levels. Our guides, Macy, Craig, and Grace were amazing taking care of our 3 rafts. Craig had such great energy and made our trip so fun!

I had such a blast on the full day Browns Canyon raft trip with Performance Tours! Guides Grace and Keene were phenomenal: both over 10 years experienced which was essential as this low water year requires deep skill, finesse and creativity to make the run both safe and fun. No easy feat! I was so impressed by how they handled the challenging conditions and I know everyone in both rafts felt extremely well taken care of. I am so glad I got to experience the beauty of the canyon this way. Also, thanks Keene for the great recs in the Ouray area! Aside from the raft with y’all, those were the highlights of my CO trip!!

Ashley was our trip leader and our personal boat captain. I'd go down any river on earth with her at the helm. A true professional and also a comedic genius. We had such a great day even though mother nature wasn't our friend that day lol. Performance tours for the win.

Our family had the most amazing time rafting the Arkansas river with Performance Tours. Mikey D, Marcus, Craig, and Blaine made it so fun and memorable for the four boats that went together. The ride was consistently fun and though there were class 3 rapids, it wasn't too challenging for the young kids with us, at least at the water levels we experienced (~270 cfs). The scenery was non-stop amazing - we saw some mountain goats! The lunch was plentyful and very healthy - sandwiches or wraps, veggies, chips, cookies, lemonade (we were gluten free and there was so much we could eat!). Their suits and boots were optional but the boots really helped us stay secure. I highly recommend bringing waterbottles and sunscreen. It was easy to wedge them into the bottom of our boat. The gift shop was amazing too! Loved the whole experience.

We had a perfect day with Andrew on our full day Brown's Canyon trip! He kept us laughing the entire time and we felt confident in his skills to keep us safe and provide us the adventure we were looking for. Lunch was really good too! There's nothing we would have changed about the day, other than making it longer!

This was our second trip with Performance over the last two years. Full day upper and lower canyon. We had a blast and it was absolutely a beautiful trip, fabulous lunch , and awesome guide Mikey D !!!!!!!!

Best rafting experience ever! Mike Daniels is the most awesome, fun and experienced guide I’ve ever had. So much fun! We learned so much interesting river history along the way, along with so much exhilarating fun, yet always safe. Cannot recommend highly enough!

This was an amazing trip (with Performance Tours)! Aiyana was a great guide-- so knowledgeable about the river and so adept at navigating us safely, but also giving us a lot of white water excitement. I'd 100% go back to do this again and again.

My family had a really great time on this rafting trip. The four of us really enjoyed being with our guide Ryan, who was super knowledgeable in professional. We went when the river was a bit low and it made a challenging raft, but Ryan was so patient and instructive for my nine and seven year-old. We really enjoyed stopping and having amazing sandwiches and appetizers with all the fixings. I was thinking it might be a bit too long for my kids, but the trip kept their attention, and the little stops to splash in the water were really fun for them. We loved looking for wildlife along the way and seeing the beautiful Scenery.

Well we had a blast!!! We did a full day. We used Performance rafting many times over the last 20 years and they crushed it again on this trip. The guides are fantastic and we were treated like family. We are planning a spring trip when the water level is high to run the Royal Gorge run and there Numbers run. Can’t wait!! THANK YOU PERFORMANCE TOUR RAFTING!!!!!!

We did Browns Canyon Full Day with Curry and he was the best! We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. 3/4 of us have never rafted and he made the trip an absolute blast. Great stories, lots of cool facts about the river and surrounding geography. We will definitely be back! A trip we won’t forget! Kudos to PT, you can really tell they care about everyone and their experience. Would highly recommend.

Christian is superb. Strong helmsman / boatswain / captain who knows the river and its shores: wildlife, human culture, legend and lore. An unforgettable experience!

Great trip!!! Our guide Ryan was awesome. He made the all day trip fun and engaging. We had a larger family group of 7 and were able to all be in the same boat. Performance had everything we needed including wet gear and safety equipment. The lunch on the river was very good and definitely hit the spot after a morning of rafting. Their facility was clean and easy to locate. Would definitely use them again for our next rafting adventure.

Andrew was an excellent guide. We were surprised by the wonderful, fancy lunch he prepared. I learned a new way to prepare a pineapple! 🍍 The raft trip was relaxing and beautiful. Andrew was very personable and professional and I felt safe on our trip. If we come back next year, we will definitely request Andrew for our guide. Thanks

Andrew was an outstanding guide who was so attentive to our needs during the whole float. The lunch he made was so delicious and healthy. We will be back next year and will ask for Andrew for sure.

This was the perfect choice for booking an adventure for our family of 5 - consisting of 2 adults, a 15 yr old, a 13 yr old and an 11 yr old. The views were beautiful, the lunch was awesome and the guides were skilled! Our guide Cole made sure we had a great time on the rapids while also ensuring we were safe. He made the trip the best and we were so excited that we had a fellow SD resident as our guide. We loved the action photos taken by the photographer but also appreciated that Cole made sure we captured the memories with other photos throughout the entire trip. We highly recommend this company and Cole!

While there are many choices for whitewater rafting companies, no need to look further than PT. Very professional, fun, and safe. Our guide Ellie was the best. She is a local who grew up on the Arkansas River so we were in good hands and knew every aspect of the river. And for the full day your, lunch was incredible!

What a fantastic trip! Our guide, Rhone was amazing and am excellent coach and guide. Great interaction with all of us and it was a wonderful trip with just 5 and Rhone. Went through 7 or 8 class 3 areas and had a blast doing it. Lunch was awesome as well and Rhone cut fresh veggies and laid everything out for us to make sandwiches and chill between runs. Highly recommend this company and our guide!

We recently enjoyed a full-day rafting excursion through Big Horn Sheep Canyon. Our family of four, along with three other participants, had a truly exhilarating experience, and the scenery was breathtaking. Our guide, Audrey, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and highly skilled in navigating the rapids. We are grateful for this memorable experience as we depart Colorado. We highly recommend Performance Tours to anyone interested in this adventure and would gladly participate again.

Curry was a great guide. Fun, patient, and kept us off the rocks I enjoyed his explanations of the geology and the river. He let us stop for a swim which the kids loved. I appreciated his patience with my sore back too.

Great experience! BamBam was Awesome! He tailored our experience to our capabilities, since we have done it 3 times before (with other companies). By far the best! Lunch was vast and delicious.

First, the entire Crew made getting checked in, equipment needed not only painless, but fun! Lauren H was our guide and she was nothing less than AWESOME! She is doing what she was made to do. We had the best time with her and would highly recommend her. The lunch break was time perfectly and really enjoyed the food and layout. One huge BONUS was we got to see a Big Horn ram and some of its babies on the mountain as we passed by. One thing I wish I had known beforehand was that some of the helmets have GoPro mounts on them and they allow GoPro cameras on the river. If you have a GoPro, bring it! Thanks to all and especially Lauren for a great trip!

Efficient! Great gear! Exactly what we needed for lunch! Quality guides! Margo was knowledgeable and professional, she knew exactly which routs to take and when to let the river do the work for us. She was super calm and took control even when a raft-mate fell out in the middle of a rapid. She was personable and friendly, and was genuinely interested in getting to know us on the river. She also had great recommendations, both local and further out in CO. We weren’t guided by Iana, but she seemed equally as amazing and had a sick pink cowboy helmet. 10/10 stars!!!!!

We had the best time on our trip down Brown’s Canyon with Performance Tours. This was the first time water rafting for most of our family. The canyon is beautiful. The raft trip allowed for thrills as well as sight-seeing. Sean was our guide and he was the absolute BEST! He knew so much about the canyon. He pointed out interesting landmarks and shared facts about the area. He was fun, encouraging, and made us all feel welcome. I was nervous to take this trip, but Sean made me feel at ease. I went with family most of whom had never done whitewater rafting before. We had a absolute blast!! Ryan, with Performance Tours, was our guide and I would highly request him if you have the chance. He has many years of experience doing this kind of thing and knows how to guide groups of all experience levels. We did a level three rafting tour and are already talking about when we can make it back to do a level four or five. Additionally, lunch was provided on our all-day tour and I assumed it would just be a pre-packed brown bag lunch. NO, they set out fresh fruit hummus and chips for appetizers while they laid out multiple lunch meat options with sliced veggies and avacado to make some really great sandwiches. This was a great first experience. I highly recommend!!!

We had Cohen and Andrew as our tour guides. They were hilarious, they cracked a joke just about every time they got the chance. They made this fun and safe for our entire family. Plus they got us good food for lunch.

Beautiful canyon on a bit of a cold day. Everyone stayed warm in the provided wet suits, splash guard jackets and booties. Our guide ,Zach, was experienced and informative. Lunch on the river was simple, make your own sandwiches, fresh, yummy and lots of topping options with seconds offered. The water was a little down getting close to the end of the season. The experience was exalted with the views and fun white water rapids.

I received a more personal and enjoyable experience. I wasn’t just another number in a large group. From start to finish Adam our guide was first class! If you’re looking for a good time on the river this is who you want to go with!!

Another item in the books for my bucket list before 50! Margo was an amazing, experienced guide who made our rafting trip exciting. We had an exhilarating and fun day on the water. My husband was a little anxious about going on class four rapids but immediately felt at ease under Margo’s guidance. We have already booked our trip for next year and cannot wait to go back to the wonderful views and thrilling experience.

We did the full day raft trip through Brown's Canyon with our two kids (8 and 9). It was a great time all around! From the check-in, briefing, rafting, and even lunch, everything was amazing. On top of that, our guide, James, was the BEST! He was knowledgeable, funny, skilled, welcoming, and great at communicating information and expectations.

Curry was our guide and he was AMAZING! I highly recommend this white water rafting experience. 10/10 for sure!!!!!!!!
