Good location, within walking distance from everything. Rooms were supposed to have air conditioning, but it wasn't up to the usual standards we expect in the US. More like a European style with a whole cut and taped in the window. We did tell them it wasn't properly taped, so they added more tape, but usually we'd expect a "real ac"

The Lodge at Vail Review We hosted our first annual doctor led CE retreat at The Lodge at Vail, and I truly could not have asked for a better place to bring our vision to life. The idea for this retreat actually came from our doctors. After an equity partner trip, they told us how much they valued the community and connection and wanted to create something similar where they could invite other doctors to learn and connect together. I told them, “You pick the location and the speaker, and I will do everything I can to make it happen.” They chose Vail and The Lodge at Vail, and they chose well! We hosted 15 doctors, spouses, sponsors, and our speaker for a weekend centered around education, community, and connection beyond the chair. From start to finish, The Lodge at Vail made hosting a corporate event easy. Cali, our event director, was wonderful to work with, and May was attentive, kind, and made sure our entire CE day flowed beautifully with food, drinks, and everything we needed. Even when we had discrepancies with hotel rooms and dates, the team worked with us to find solutions and make modifications. That is what you want when you are responsible for bringing a large group together. Things will change. You want a team that helps you solve them. The location is beautiful, the town is walkable, and everything allowed our doctors to spend more time together, which was really the entire point. One travel tip I would give future groups is to consider flying directly into Vail when possible. Colorado weather can make the drive from Denver unpredictable, which we definitely experienced! Overall, I would absolutely recommend The Lodge at Vail for a corporate retreat, educational event, or team experience. We came to Vail to learn, connect, and build community, and this was a beautiful home base to do exactly that.
Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff! Their service and hospitality feels very natural and warm but is obviously well orchestrated. Max helped as valet and bellman for my stay and made the experience very seamless and enjoyable.
You truly cannot beat the location. The Lodge at Vail sits right at the base of the gondola in the heart of the village—step outside and you’re basically on the mountain. For skiers, that level of convenience is hard to top. That said, the rooms are definitely dated and on the smaller side. You’re paying for location more than luxury. The property has character, but it could use a refresh. Would I stay here again? Yes—purely because of how easy it makes everything. When you can roll out of bed and be at the lift in minutes, that convenience carries a lot of weight.
We just finished a week-long stay at The Lodge at Vail in Unit 232. We’ve stayed at this hotel for the past six years and have never had an issue. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating, which is why this experience was so disappointing. We always book a unit with a kitchen because we enjoy preparing our own meals. Unfortunately, this unit did not have an oven, and the kitchen supplies were very bare bones, making it difficult to use. Throughout the week, we had to call maintenance multiple times. The blinds broke and we were told the solution was simply not to use them. The bathroom sink was clogged, and the bathroom faucet actually pulled right off the wall during normal use. The biggest issue, however, was finding bugs in the bed. When I notified the front desk, the response felt very nonchalant. Maintenance and housekeeping were sent to change the sheets and check the mattress, but there was little sense of urgency or concern. Upon checkout, there was no acknowledgment of the issues we experienced and no apology. We have loved staying at The Lodge at Vail for years, but this particular unit was not worth the price paid, and the lack of follow-up or accountability was very disappointing.
