We had a great stay at the Denver Marriott at Gateway Park. This is our go to hotel when we fly in and out of Denver. This trip we had three rooms to accommodate myself and my children. We had outstanding service from the front desk team, making sure we had rooms on the same floor and that my 10 month old grandson would be comfortable.. Special shout out to Javier, who made our stay extra special and Kristy, who helped to arrange our rooms!

Receptionist wasn’t the friendliest however she’s on night shift. She did get us booked quickly but we were placed in a pet room without a pet. I know this because the room WREAKS of dog urine. I smelled it as soon as we walked in. It’s overwhelming. I didn’t ask for a new room because we got here around midnight. The lobby is clean and modern and smells nice. Rooms are also updated and modern as well as the bathroom (plus good lighting for getting ready) and clean outside of urine smell. This area is well lit, has many restaurants and other hotels around so it feels somewhat secure. Another downside. Pay to park. $15/day. I don’t understand this. Have some accommodations for your guests. Also, not sure why pet friendly hotels don’t make pet rooms tile floors so it’s easy to clean and the smell isn’t stuck in a room. If that were the case, I probably wouldn’t have wrote this review but wanted to inform others to request a pet free room. It smells like lavender carpet scent trying to mask years worth of dog pee.
Incredibly friendly staff, delicious food, clean rooms. We were stuck in Denver due to a canceled flight and stayed here overnight. The front desk staff were so kind and helpful. We ate at Fire and Spice (restaurant inside). We had the wings and kids had the chicken tenders. Both were delicious and our server was so kind and attentive. They took our United food vouchers as well. Canceled flights are never fun- but this was definitely a great place to get stuck for the night!
The remodel finished about a year ago looks really good. Rooms are nice. The real standout was Sous Chef Mickey‘s breakfast. The Chilaquiles were amazing. Somehow the chips were crispy, the eggs perfectly poached and the pork salsa topping with crumbled cotija cheese was delicious. And she had fresh made pico with just the right amount of spice to go with it. The Chilaquiles belonged in fancy restaurant not a hotel lounge breakfast. We will stay again just for the breakfast alone.
I would like to praise this hotel for its honesty. I didn’t even stay at the property, but use them for a long-term parking. Last night I had a late arrival coming back from Mexico and I wasn’t thinking very clearly when on the shuttle. It any rate I left my carry-on bag on the shuttle and didn’t realize it until I arrived home in Colorado Springs. And then called the hotel and thankfully they had retrieved the bag and stated they would keep it safe overnight until I picked it up in the morning. Incidentally, the bag had my wallet as well as passports. So, I didn’t sleep that well that night, but upon arriving the hotel the next morning, everything was intact. I can’t tell you how appreciative I am of whomever retrieved the bag. I was saved, countless hours of canceling credit cards, renewing drivers licenses, passports, etc. I am so thankful. They are honest people working at this property and would highly recommend it.!
