My review is coming from staying one night at Hotel Teatro. I really loved seeing the incorporation of theatrical elements in the hotel; ancient beauty is valued in my opinion. The place was very pleasant to behold, the host were welcoming, fast in finding my reservation and quickly to getting me and my partner into our room. Being someone from a different country I would have appreciated more of a slower paced in the communication; there were things said that it was hard to understand because the host was speaking to fast for me. I did had problems with the room I was in; the room felt way too hot; me and my partner tried adjusting the thermostat and somehow it wasn’t functioning. Also the tub accessories were malfunctioning as well. Guess services did the best they could at the time; they responded fast and efficiently. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. I would still recommend them; I think they are still improving things within the facility so just keep that in mind.

We came here for my Husbands birthday. Upon checkin we received our complementary drinks. When we got to the room there was a nice little surprise from the hotel staff, a happy birthday card and a bottle of wine in the fridge. We were both so blown away by this gesture, it was nice of them to make the room special for him. We ordered the charcuterie board to go with our drinks, everything on the board was amazing. We also utilized the free car service to go to the summit music hall. The valet attendant was quick and prompt and we made it to our location without issue. The only thing that i have also seen mentioned in other reviews is the AC. It worked very poorly in our room. Ac was Set to 72, wouldn't go below 77. They provided a fan and that did help some but we both still had a hard time sleeping. If the ac worked appropriately this would really have been a top notch experience.
Beautiful hotel. All staff , from valet, receptionists, Study Lounge , were very friendly,, courteous and professional. Good location. I have to get accustomed to the newer standards for housekeeping, meaning it's something one must request nowadays. Lighting was a little too dim for my senior citizen eyes, and the pillows, compared to other hotels, could be much improved. I would rate a lighter higher with those things on mind.
This is a lovely retro style hotel in a great location with a beautiful and welcoming lobby/cafe/library-ish entry space. The valet attendants were friendly and helpful as were the reception staff, and the prosecco upon arrival is a nice touch. I was told that I received an upgrade ("one of the benefits of staying one night") ... I originally booked a King Corner Room and ended up in a King Suite. I am a bit suspicious as to why I was "upgraded" ... the king corner would have given me a better view. The king suite ... for 1 person? The view was OK but narrow-ish and not what I expected/wanted. The room was clearly two rooms made into one - there were 2 bathrooms and two entrances and two TVs. If you need 2 bathrooms, book the king suite! The bed was toooo soft for my liking, but everything else in the room was great (linens, temperature, all bathroom amenities/fixtures/shower). I didn't have the greatest experience in the bar/cafe next door - trying to get someone's attention so I could be seated and order some food was a bit more work than I had hoped for, but after I was seated, McKenzie (sp?) was great. I would be happy to stay again if I could get the room I asked for :)
My wife and I had a decent stay at hotel Teatro. The cons- The valet staff were rude and stand off-ish. This was a bummer because they represent the hotel as the first contact. The complimentary bicycles were out of service. This was brought up to the valet staff and they basically said, “better luck next time”. It just seemed as if were a nuisance for even asking about the bikes. Our hotel room’s bathroom fan did not work. This was a minor inconvenience. PROS- The coffee bar was beautiful and had a very nice feel to it. The barista was knowledgeable and was nice. The location of the hotel is great! Ultimately we left a 3 star rating due to the CONS we mentioned. With just a little bit of TLC and friendlier staff… this place would be amazing!
