I so wanted to love this Embassy Suites. We’ve tried different locations in Texas and Colorado. This chain is really gone downhill over the years. This location was having parking lots redone when we got there at 8:30 pm after driving 15 hrs to get there. No parking out front and part of the lots were sectioned off. The front was roped off. We were tired and just wanted to get unpacked and get into bed. The beds were comfy. The AC was noisy and kept kicking on and off all night. The design of the rooms were atrocious. The bathrooms were so small, the doors were hitting the toilet paper holders. You had to step in the shower to get out of bathroom. Horrible design. The happy hour used to be nice. They put a small bowl of chips, small bowl of salsa and didn’t refill it. You offer that, then refill to accommodate the size of quests who are wanting that perk. The breakfast was ok, you gotta do the omelette that’s only way you guarantee something hot. The sausage links, eggs Cold. The bacon was better. Soda machine was broken 1 day we stayed. Only juice and coffee. Juice was good. And oh my, in the atrium the AC was so cold, we were shivering. The rooms need some real attention. Don’t know if we will book with EMBASSY in future. They need a revamp! It used to be the place to stay. Not anymore :/ sad , because I have some great memories of when it was nice hotel option.

I want to commend the young woman working on 7/9/26 around 7pm. She was extremely helpful and was so friendly to all of the guests I saw her enteract with. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and it was very nice and clean. The breakfast area was so spacious so you didn't feel over crowded. So many choices including an omelet bar. The pool was enjoyed by many. For me too loud but I might be a grumpasaurous in the late evening.
Our stay at this hotel was very unpleasant, and I would not recommend it. I still have a pending charge on my credit card that I cannot get an explanation for. I'm assuming it is the security deposit, but I have been unable to reach anyone at the hotel to confirm this. I checked out on June 24, so if it is the security deposit, it should have already been refunded. In addition, I was overcharged for our two-night stay. The amount charged to my credit card does not match the rate we agreed upon at check-in. The room also had a strong chemical odor throughout our stay. We were never able to determine where the smell was coming from, and it made the room very uncomfortable. The customer service was also disappointing. One morning, I went to the front desk to extend our stay by one night. The receptionist processed the extension, but when we returned later that afternoon, our room keys no longer worked. When I went back to the front desk, she told me the keys automatically deactivate at 11:00 a.m. and that I should have given her the room keys so they could be reprogrammed. However, she never asked for the keys or explained that they would need to be updated. Instead of acknowledging the lack of communication, she blamed me for something I had no way of knowing, which was very frustrating. Our experience at breakfast on our last morning was equally disappointing. I ordered three omelets with different ingredients from the younger cook. While they were being prepared, I stepped away to get another plate and find a table. When I returned, several omelets were ready, so I politely asked the older cook which one was mine. He appeared irritated by my question and opened the omelets with his gloved hand to check the ingredients. Although he was wearing gloves, they were the same gloves he had been using throughout food preparation, which did not seem sanitary. His attitude made me feel like I had done something wrong, even though I was simply trying to identify the correct order after requesting three different omelets. Overall, between the unexplained pending charge, the billing discrepancies, the poor communication, the unpleasant condition of the room, and the unfriendly customer service, our stay was very disappointing. I expected a much better experience and would not choose to stay here again.
I had a mixed experience at this Embassy Suites. There are several things the hotel does exceptionally well, but one major issue keeps me from giving it a higher rating. The highlights first: the complimentary breakfast is an absolute gem. The made-to-order omelets are fantastic and easily one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. The hotel’s interior is also beautiful, with rooms facing a large, covered central atrium that gives the feeling of an outdoor courtyard while staying protected from the elements. The suites themselves are very spacious, making for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi is a huge disappointment and well below the standard I’d expect from a hotel in this price range. While the TVs are modern and look great, they don’t have Ethernet capability, so you’re forced to rely on the hotel’s Wi-Fi for streaming services like Netflix. That’s where everything falls apart. The internet is painfully slow, streaming is unreliable, and when shows do load, they’re constantly buffering. It made relaxing in the room frustrating instead of enjoyable. Embassy Suites has a beautiful property, comfortable rooms, and one of the best complimentary breakfasts around, but the entire building desperately needs a Wi-Fi upgrade. In today’s world, reliable internet isn’t a luxury—it’s an expectation, especially for a hotel of this caliber.
Place was under renovation, but it wasn't communicated well on the website at the time of booking. Ok, not a big deal. We weren't going to use the pool... But they had just installed gates and started charging guests $15 per night parking. Like what? It's a parking lot! I had to park halfway around the building from the entrance and walk in the rain, and I'm paying for the privilege. None of the other hotels in the area have parking like this. Finally, we got the suite upgrade because we wanted the refrigerator and microwave. Neither one works in our suite! Also, 2 of the lamps in the front living space don't work, so it's very dark. The mattress hurts my back, which happens sometimes, and I wouldn't even mention it if the rest didn't spoil our stay. The staff has all been nice
