Dirty rooms with stained sofa. Only one employee in the reception for check in, check out and everything.

Great spa facilities and excellent breakfast with Chandon mimosas and Bellini. The hotel, however, is relatively old. It needs to update maintenance of room furniture as well as lobby cleanliness, especially during busy holidays. Shower pressure is far from ideal, and TVs are outdated and small - no Netflix available. For the price charged, I believe these updates are necessary

This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at! It is mind blowing how kind the staff are and how beautiful the grounds are. This is such a special place!!! The grounds are phenomenal - well maintained, diverse, so much fun to be had with swimming, walking, golf, bikes, the beach. We saw wild guinea pigs, tegus, so many birds, turtles, bats… if you love nature, you will love staying here. The staff are the kindest, sweetest, most helpful people ever. We were here for my Dads birthday and they left a little cake in our room for him, with a candle to blow out (so sweet). Mariel at the front desk is an Angel on Earth! I was dealing with excruciating pain from a pinched nerve and she went out of her way to order me Ibuprofen from the pharmacy and had it delivered. I went from crying from my pain to crying with gratitude because she helped me feel better. That is above and beyond the service I’ve received elsewhere. All of the staff were wonderful!!! Always sweet, always helpful. Those who work at the restaurant are so professional, quick and kind. This hotel employs the best people! We cannot wait to come back and stay here again. We will think about this place and the fun we’ve had here for a long, long time. This truly was like a dream! Thank you so much Sheraton Colonia!!!!!

We stayed as a couple and were looking to relax for several days in Colonia, and chose the Sheraton for its resort-like atmosphere. The amenities were great for us and we made use of the pools and gyms and the resort is in a beautiful location. Unfortunately, the service level and maintenance of the hotel is not 5 star standards and the hotel is badly in need of cosmetic updating. However with some polishing up (refreshing the rooms, decor, and renovating some outdated sections), this is truly a gem of a property. The location is very special and we had a wonderful time after getting a new room as the first one had some housekeeping issues. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here if taking kids as the resort is incredibly kid and family friendly. Just be prepared for this hotel experience to be what you make it / don't rely on a high-end hotel service levels where all your needs will be met.
