We booked a car with chauffeur for our 5 days trip and the experience was excellent and above expectation. The car condition was very good and comfortable for our family of 3 with good luggage space. The best part is the guide ANUSH who is an excellent driver who is calm, polite, punctual and family friendly. We felt like we were travelling with one of our family member. He always maintained speed limits, followed the rules and gentle driving. He always received us with a smiling face and made sure we're not missing any destinations. He also made sure we tried the best foods of Srilanka and leaves only after we have completed our check-in process at the hotels. I would blindly recommend this person if you're planning a trip to Srilanka. He is also resourceful to help you out with booking the activities in the correct price.

Lionel was our driver for 8 days and he was exceptional, constantly suggesting recommendations to break up the drive whether it was a hike, waterfall, lunch spot. A very safe driver and always super punctual and spoke very good English. Would highly recommend for your trip around Sri Lanka.
We booked with MACK Travel Sri Lanka, a few weeks before departure. All very smooth. We'd never hired a long-term driver before, so were a bit nervous on how it would go. We shouldn't have worried. On the day of arrival, Malinda met us at Airport Arrivals, and immediately, we knew all would be well. Straight away, he helped us with our bags, and 'hovered' while I bought a local SIM and did battle with an argumentative ATM. Malinda's car is a beautiful and spotless Toyota saloon with seatbelts all round (not always the case, in Sri Lanka) and fantastic aircon. Every morning there'd be fresh bottles of water for us, and the car would, once again, be valeted. The driving in Sri Lanka as a whole - but especially in the towns - is chaotic, with tuk-tuks and buses 'coming at you' from all directions, without warning. Malinda's supreme driving skills calmly negotiated all of this - and more - and at all times, we felt 100% safe. Not only is he the perfect driver, but Malinda is such a lovely guy, pointing out things of interest, suggesting ways we could spice up our itinerary, even treating us to some Buffalo curd with honey, from a roadside seller (try it - you'll love it!). Being a local, he is perfectly positioned as a 'fixer' and negotiator. Malinda transported us between a selection of hotels in the south and centre of the country, then was only a WhatsApp message away if we needed him for some ad-hoc trip. We were fleetingly considering hiring a car and self-driving but are SO glad we took this option, as it elevated our entire holiday experience, and I was able to relax (and drink beer!) without worrying about the trip home. When you consider the cost of car hire, insurances, and that constant worry of 'something unexpected' when you return the car, hiring a driver with car is an easy choice. Malinda is a freelance driver who, with his wife, has set up A&M Tours, a tailored Sri Lanka tour-guiding service, 'specializing in providing unforgettable travel experiences, to showcasing the best the country has to offer. Having never been to Sri Lanka before but having some ideas around what/ where I wanted to visit- it seemed to be the most sensible idea to have a car and driver. I fancied coming away from the regimented hotel trips so did a bit a research and found this company who had good reviews. We booked this well ahead and when we arrived we were messaged by the company to arrange our itinerary. They were very flexible giving us suggestions of how best to incorporate everything on our wish list. The driver msg us via what’s app so we knew who he was and what vehicle he was driving. I am very glad that we chose this option and not to drive ourselves ( not safe over here). Our driver Damith was amazing - there was nothing he would not do to try and get the best trips for us. He was helpful with food and toilet stops and got us the best deals he could. He worked very hard with long hours of driving and was always courteous friendly and able to answer all our questions! I am so glad that we met Damith and we will definitely use him again when we return- I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him and the company to any travellers

I was initially a little hesitant to book because I am in foreign country and did not know which company to book with I was pleasantly surprised. He took us to some tourist places and shopping. We travelled around Sri Lanka for just over a week with Romesh, and we’re extremely happy with the service he provided. He was consistently on time, organised, and got us to each destination (Kandy, Yala, Galle and Colombo) smoothly, often earlier than we expected, which made the days feel relaxed rather than rushed. When we adjusted plans along the way, he handled it easily and without any fuss. He also had great local knowledge and recommended several excellent places to eat that turned out to be some of our favourite eats of the trip. Throughout the journey he was friendly, calm, and professional, and struck a good balance between being helpful and giving us space. Our driver Damith was absolutely awesome. He drove very safely and confidently, even on mountain roads around Ella. We traveled across Sri Lanka for several days - through the hills, national parks, and different regions - and Damith always knew where to stop, what to see, and what was worth doing along the way. He was super helpful, friendly, and always positive, making the whole trip easy and stress-free. I can honestly say he made our Sri Lanka experience much bette. We did a two week trip with Lionel as our driver. It was an excellent experience. He was always on time and available. We communicated using WhatsApp and he drove safely and efficiently. I had booked a 4 day trip in Sri Lanka. I did get picked up from the airport on the first day and got to the hotel, but unfortunately there were cyclonic storms and flooding all across Sri Lanka, so I had to cancel the rest of the trip. MACK travel refunded my money for the 3 days that I couldn’t use the car. I wish them good luck for a quick recovery from the floods and better times ahead!

I booked this service for me and my fiancée and we are very happy with the organisation and the execution of this service! Everything went perfect! We even had to change our plans one week before our start and that was no problem! The price is totally fine for the service you get. Our journey was 12 days long and our driver Rohana showed us some cool places we would have never considered. He also arranged some very good prices for our safari tours! The atmosphere was good and comfortable and he was always on time. We would recommend this service to everyone who wants to visit a lot of places in Sri Lanka!
Great 9 days trip around sri lanka with Lakmal. His car was always clean, he drove safely all the time and gave us great suggestions of activities. We ended up in restaurant a bit more expensive/ touristic for lunch that allow our driver to have his for free, which was not expected for us.

I am very pleased with MACK travel. We had Anushka as our driver for a four day trip (Colombo, sigirya, Kandy, weligama). He was excellent. Always on time, no fuss, didn't pressure us into doing things we didn't want to, and was a wonderful travel companion! He got up at 4am to take us up to sigirya rock and was out in the evenings taking us to restaurants and bars - what a guy.
