First of all, we're usually traveling by ourselves instead of using tour guides. It would've been perfectly feasible in Sri Lanka, but we would never had the same level of experience with only 2-3 weeks in Sri Lanka. Sam was recommended to us by the friend of a friend, and I'm really happy to have chosen him as our Sri Lanka trip driver/guide, but also to have chosen this type of traveling. Sam was a great host/driver. Always punctual, respectful and full of knowledge. He was proactive and supported us with planning our daily activities. Our driver Subash definitely made our trip! We were visiting Sri Lanka in February/March with a group of 7 Germans aged 22-24. He was very flexible and basically knew what to do at all times and places. We had so much fun! Definitely recommend going with him! I’ve been lucky enough to visit Sri Lanka twice, and both times Subash made the trip extra special. The first time was a two-week adventure with friends back in 2019—we travelled to lots of different places and had the best time. Subash was always on time, super easy-going, really helpful, and his van was big, clean, and comfortable for all of us and our luggage. The second time I went back with my boyfriend last year, and even though we only stayed in three places, I contacted Subash again hoping he was still available to help with our journeys. Guys we are just thrilled with our journey!!! Sri Lanka has revealed itself in all its beauty! Our journey began with a meeting at the airport! Amazing experience! Sam is an experienced driver and guide! His driving skills saved us time and trouble! He knows Sri Lanka like the back of his pocket, he is a man of few words, but he is very pleasant to be around. Went on a 5 day tour with Subash to Tangalle, Unawatuna and Sigiriya. Incredibly professional driver who wanted to show us things along the way, helped us with booking whale safari, Sigiriya etc. Easy to communicate with when he speaks good English.
