I had an amazing experience with Ravi as my tour guide! He was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about every place we visited. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the day, never rushed the experience, and was happy to adjust the itinerary based on my interests. Ravi shared fascinating local stories and insights that made each destination even more memorable. He was also a very safe and careful driver which made the long journey relaxing and enjoyable. Looking forward to my next visit in Sri Lanka 😊

Itinerary
Sigiriya Rock is an extinct volcanic magma outcrop located 200 m above the ground, and the chronology of Sigiriya dates back to the prehistoric era. However, historic genealogy describes an epic legend about a rebel Prince who fled his great dynasty and built this Splendid Kingdom beyond human imagination. The meticulously designed Sigiriya Fortress and elongated grasslands have protected by massive ramparts and deep moats, and its castles with 360 degrees views of the surround, cave frescos, mirrored walls, lively fountains, and Lion Mouth ravishingly formed.
Polonnaruwa became the 2nd kingdom of Sri Lanka in the 11th century and had comprehensively famed for its unique irrigation system, architecture, art, culture, and prosperous social style. The kingdom has created by different dynasties with variant cultural, religious, and architectural clouts in Sri Lanka and Southern parts of India, and located at a borderland of a huge Man-made lake. The citadel complex consists of Palaces, Royal Courts, Auditoriums, Ponds, and Religious Monuments. UNESCO accredited Polonnaruwa with World Heritage as an essence of a great civilization.
Dambulla Caves was once, upon a time, an abode for pre-historic indigenous tribes, which later became a monastic temple for Buddhist monks. In the 1st century, the King recognized the cave complex and region as a sanctuary devoted to a religious realm. The cave monastery is elevated 160M over the surrounding ground and wilderness. The naturally preserved 05 caves have murals painted with stories of Buddhism. Rock-cut cave interiors are spacious for all religious practices and rituals. The sculptures and the paintings are authentic and remain unchanged. The enchanting backdrop of the cave complex is splendid and reserved as an archeological geographical resource. Dambulla is a UNESCO World Heritage monument in Sri Lanka and a must-visit phenomenon.

A fully packed day, you really get a lot for your money here! We visited 3 different places, all were amazing. My favorite was actually Sigiriya, but also the other 2 stops were really good and worth to visit! I would definitely recommend this tour, great value for money! Just a minor advice: You can book a tour guide at each of the sights, and imo, they are not really worth it. Just enjoy for yourself and read the signs!
Pickup at hotel was on time. Our guide was not only friendly, he became family with us. His knowledge for history, sharing the experience with my daughter and I (yes, he climbed 1200 steps up the Siguria Rock!) We had such an amazing time that will forever be in our heart ❤️
Very disappointed with our Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa & Dambulla "Trilogy" Day Tour We were expecting an experienced guide who was going to bring us to the 3 different sites. The tour was advertised as taking 12-14 hours. We left the hotel at 5:30 a.m. and returned 17 hours later, mostly because the driver got lost in Polonnaruwa. We had to skip dinner. The driver admitted that he had only been there when he was a schoolboy. Due to the wasted time, we had to skip the Dambulla part of the trip. The driver wasn’t knowledgeable which forced us to take a paid guide at Sigiriya. We were also pressurised to take a guide at Polonnaruwa which we declined due to the time lost finding the place. The driver was calling his mum whilst driving. Not once did he ask us if we needed a comfort break. His English was poor.
First I just want to Malan went above and beyond to make sure I had a wonderful experience after I made the mistake of net reading the booking details thoroughly. I thought everything was included and came I’ll prepared to pay for my entry fees. Malan made the exception to allow me to see Sigirya Rock and Dissa my amazing tour guide allowed me to see Dambulla. I’m so overwhelmed with how hospitable and kind Dissa and Malan were and I had an amazing time! Dissa climb to the lions paw with me and helped me managed my fear of heights along the way. It was truly a magical experience!
A very long day but the sites are amazing and well worth the trip! Our driver was attentive and helpful and we felt very safe despite the intense traffic. The air conditioned car was great comfort between each stop and the scenery was magnificent- we even saw wild elephants! Only thing we did not enjoy was the lunch stop, which were not offered a choice on and was a banquet style lunch. Overall, if you really want to see these three sites and have limited time, this is a great option.
I did a one-day tour covering Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, and Dambulla. It was definitely a long day, but absolutely worth it to see so many incredible sites in one go. The driver was very nice, punctual, and drove safely the whole time. Highly recommend this tour if you want to experience the highlights in a single day.
Perfect one day trip from Negombo : very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful guide Namal; excellent and careful driver Ravi. Both of them made this experience very special, also thanks to the reliable logistical planning from Belkin agency.
Great careful driver, great to see these 3 sights, well worth the visit to these 3 sights, ideally do it in the cooler months
Loved all 3 locations - especially Sigiriya and Dambulla. 3rd stop really cool but made for too long a day (for us). The trip description said that the tour would take 10 hours round trip, water would be provided, and that we’d have an “English-speaking guide.” What we had was an incredibly uncomfortable car with half-functioning seatbelts for what was a 16 hour round-trip day, water provided was tap in refillable bottles (not ok for western consumption), and our “guide” was a driver (not a guide) whose English was incredibly limited so he couldn’t answer any questions (asking him to turn down the blasting AC took 4-5 tries to communicate) and he sadly couldn’t tell us anything about the country we were seeing. He was a good driver and pleasant but barely spoke to us the entire journey. They also don’t tell you that you can pay entry fees at each site with a credit card, but if you want to hire a guide (which you really should do at Sigiriya), you will need to pay cash ($50 US before a tip of 2,000 local currency). Summary - loved the sites - truly amazing - but the car, driver/guide and length of journey were not the quality we’ve enjoyed in other Viator trips.
One of my best trip and guide. I'm world traveler and I know one or two things about traveling. The trip it's a must in your life time, for people that they like to travel. Going with my guide Mangala you will have un unforgettable day. Ty mangala you are the best .you went above and beyond for me just to make sure that I enjoyed. The trip in itself it's great. 3 unesco world heritage in one day. Wow 👌
My friend and I had an amazing day with this tour company! The drivers are ALWAYS on time and communicate well with you in advance. I was also amazed with their flexibility and willingness to accommodate our needs. My friend and I needed to start the tour a little later than the company's plan, and they made subtle changes to itinerary so we could still see everything (But departing earlier is definitely better). This company provides only transportation, and are not allowed to guide us at the sites (you have to pay extra to get a guide at the site), but reading up on the places beforehand was good enough for us, and the driver will still walk with you to make sure you don't miss anything. The little considerations here and there were so thoughtful. We are definitely using this company when we return, and are recommending it to our friends!
I had a great time with Namal and Janith on this tour! I chose this tour, because I had limited time in Sri Lanka, and wanted to see as much of this area of Sri Lanka as possible. The tour ended up being a very long day, but well worth it. Both of them were very nice - you could tell that they actually cared about my experience. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to see these highlights in a single day!
We wanted to split up the usual day trip into 2 days and ad some other activities. Namal gave me a clear trip and cost break down in advance and arranged everything. He was great company and ensured we had everything we needed. All the site are amazing and worth the visit. I highly recommend!
The sites are amazing and well worth the trip. Even it's a long day our driver Rukshan made it so comfortable. I think this tour worth it. I'd recommend this tour to anybody.
Proceed with caution. The sites are beautiful but the service can definitely use some help. The driver exceeded the speed limit and showed no consideration for safety as he frequently cross lanes into oncoming traffic to speed ahead. The driver consistently divulged personal information of my nationality to inform his friends as if I were there to be taken advantage of. Just an overall uncomfortable experience. Would not recommend this service to anyone
The day started early and Rukshan collected us at 5am. Due to a downpour it took us a little longer to get to where we were going owing to road closures but we were kept informed throughout and knew exactly where we were. Stopped off for a decent breakfast and then on to the tour actual. It would be easy to harp on about how amazing the sights were and you could read that anywhere. The difference came from Rukshan who was incredibly accommodating throughout, explained everything, stopped whenever we asked, pulled over to see animals etc. We were behind schedule but felt at all times that the only thing important to Rukshan was our experience. When we were driving back around 11pm he was determined to find us somewhere to eat. Even with him working the next day he looked after us. I'd recommend it based on this alone. Superb. Thanks, gents
The actual sites are amazing and well worth the trip. VERY long day so be prepared, left at 5:30am and returned at 9pm. I rated it lower because of the company. The driver was wonderful. However, the trip costs $160 but does not include entrance fees (an additional $65) or a tour guide (an extra $60). You should also dress appropriately because it is hot and humid. Sigiryia is 1200+ steps one way so shoes, hat and water are a must! Temple cave is another 300 steps one way up. Great trip but not impressed with company at all.
The driver was great but the tour as advertised is misleading. In addition to $160 USD for the tour it costs an additional $60+ for entrance fees. Then if you want a guide to explain the sites you have to pay an extra $20 per attaction. So in truth this tour costs $270. Each attraction requires a tremendous amount of climbing (1200 steps up one-way ar Sigiryi) and walking in hot and humid weather so dress accordingly and be prepared!
Very long day but if you’re limited on time then this is a good way to pack in a lot of sites and info. But you will be very exhausted! Wear very comfy, ankle-support shoes. We did sigiriya which was not too busy in the morning. This was good if you’re slower climbers like we were. It was nice to stop along the way to take photos. The scenes are amazing. Polonuwara is really beautiful. Ancient ruins and untouched, preserved temples and monuments. Not sure if this tour included a tour guide but if so, he wasn’t very informative. Really nice but just said basic stuff and didn’t really explain much about the sites. We used the information brochure given to us for most of it. It is huge with many sites and you could easily spend a whole day just here. Dambulla cave temple was definitely my favorite. A must see. Would recommend saving this for last as e sunset views were just gorgeous. It’s a little bit of a climb but not too bad. The driving pretty erratic but I guess that is the way of life on single lane roads in Sri Lanka. The tour includes water but all else is excluded so ask in advance about amount of cash needed for entrance fees. The breakfast spot was not good. Would highly recommend changing to a different place with more varied options and authentic Sri Lankan bfast items and staff without an attitude. Lunch was good, varied options as it was a buffet and cheap (700 Sri Lankan rupees for 2 of us). We started at 5:30am and arrived back to our Colombo hotel at 10pm. Just to give you an idea of the day. Overall, we would do this tour again due to our time restraint. If we had more days in Sri Lanka, we would have done 2 day excursions and broken this all up.
We have visited Sri Lanka with two families. It was a full week tour we made more than 1200 km Visited more than five different places across Sri Lanka. Tour was brilliantly organized by Belkin Tales and we had 2 great tour guides, Brian and Samir guided us along the entire trip. Definitely a great vacation and a highly recommend the tour by Namal & Belkin Tales. Thanks to all... 😀
We had Mr Nala for our guide. Such a knowledgeable, sincere man. Always with a big smile for us and everyone else he met enroute. He was very considerate (kept the car quiet in the morning ride so we could catch up on sleep) and changed plans to accommodate us when we got tired. The car felt new and clean and the aircon was blessedly cold. The sights were all beautiful, but note that by regulation, Mr nala can't act as a guide there. You have to get a dedicated guide at each UNESCO site if u want one.
Place is very clean and well maintained. While I was hesitant at the start because of the height, enjoyed the visit. The top view is breathtaking.
They try to cheat by not providing a guide. They asked me to pay for it. And I did pay for it thinking they would pay back to me. This happens At first location. After visiting first location I confronted him and asked him, a local guide is already included in the package. Then diver makes some calls and apologizes for his mistake. And promises to do it properly. And the rest of the journey was ok. But they did not deliver what they promised. Bottom line it was not good. I never got the refund. And viator was also not good at their job. Upon receiving the complaint. They they said that typical apology. We are sorry thank you for your patience.
- great price/value - friendly driver - knowledgeable tour guides - cover lots of important historic sides of Sri Lanka TIPS: - advice customer it will be a LONG day from Colombo (about 4 hour drive each way) - the whole tour will be approximately 15-16 hours, ONLY IF YOU ARE FIT AND ABLE TO WALK IN DECENT SPEED, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO THIS WHOLE TOUR IN 1 DAY - you need cover ups for legs/arms for the temples - maybe offer a tour with one less stop, to make it suitable for all people without rushing Thank you for my wonderful day!
I am from Chennai & have been to Srilanka a week ago with my friends. This is the third time that I took his guidance for sight seeing &other stuff etc we had a wonderful time & such a nice trip it was..... Special thanks to you Mr. Namal for your guidance and kind support
