We had limited time in Colombo, so we felt a tuk-tuk tour was the perfect way to see the best of the city, and it certainly didn’t disappoint! The tour was wonderful, giving us the opportunity to explore so many of Colombo’s highlights and learn more about the city along the way. However, what really made the experience so special was our guide, Fasmy. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent experience. His knowledge was fantastic, he was incredibly friendly, and his enthusiasm really made the tour. He made us feel welcome from the moment we started and ensured we got the very best out of our time. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Colombo, particularly if you’re short on time. And if you get Fasmy as your guide, you’re in for an absolute treat! Colombo Red Mosque, also known as Jami Ul-Alfar Masjid, is literally an architectural wonder for the world that would stun you with its unusual color patterns and unconventional yet amazing design. Located in Pe History of Colombo Red Mosque Colombo had always been a welcoming hub for international trade where Arabs frequented and populated enormously. They had to perform their five-times compulsory daily rituals. For that reason, the Indian Muslim Community was commissioned to put up a mosque in Pettah. Works commenced in 1908, the construction of the Colombo Red Mosque (Jami-Ul-Alfar Mosque) was finished in just a year. Habibu Labbe Saibu Labbe was the chief designer of the building who relied on Indo-Saracenic and Neo-classical architectural styles. In 1975, the Mosque's capacity was extended as much as 10,000.

Galle Face Green is a 5 ha (12 acres) ocean-side urban park, which stretches for 500 m (1,600 ft) along the coast, in the heart of Colombo, the financial and business capital of Sri Lanka. The promenade was initially laid out in 1859 by Governor Sir Henry George Ward, although the original Galle Face Green extended over a much larger area than is seen today. The Galle Face Green was initially used for horse racing and as a golf course, but was also used for cricket, polo, football, tennis, and rugby.

VIHARAMAHADEVI PARK The Viharamahadevi Park (formerly Victoria Park) is a public park located in Colombo, next to the National Museum in Sri Lanka. It is the oldest and largest park of the Port of Colombo. Situated in front of the colonial-era Town Hall building, the park is named after Queen Viharamahadevi, the mother of King Dutugamunu. The park was built on land donated to the Colombo city by Charles Henry de Soysa during the British rule of Sri Lanka, and used to be named "Victoria Park" after Queen Victoria. During World War II it was occupied by the British Army with Australian 17th Brigade based at Victoria Park. After the war the park was restored and open to the public in 1951.P

The Pettah Floating Market is a series of pavilions constructed on the far end of the restored Beira lake between the Pettah bus station and the railway station. There are about ninety trade stalls and shops along the waters, with vendors selling fruits, vegetables and flowers on the wooden boats floating lazily on the lake. The entrance is on the west side of the market area with a wood-carved flanking marked 'The Floating Market'. The region is beautifully constructed with wooden boards, grey floors, and red terracotta tiles. Several restaurants and eateries in the market area give an enjoyable atmosphere to dine in.
Independence memorial hall is situated in the independence square (formally torington square )at colombo 7 in the chinnamon gardens. The Colombo Maritime Museum is in one of the former Dutch prisons which were built in 1676 making it one of the oldest Dutch buildings in Colombo. The museum has undergone many renovations to date, and it has been open to the public since the year 2003. There are two stories in the museum which are made of unique architecture and design inspired by Italian architecture. Colombo Maritime Museum has a beautiful entrance which is flanked by old fashioned canons. It houses beautiful sculptures, artefacts, models, paintings and maps which speak about the maritime history of Sri Lanka. The museum is also home to statues of King Vijaya, Sanghamitta, Fa-Hien, Ibn Battuta and the Portuguese, Dutch and British. In addition, there are models of ships which were brought to the shore by the British colonials.

Absolutely amazing! I went solo as a woman and felt safe. It was a great tour and Faslan gave the walk through tour at a musuem like place, sharign the history of Sri Lanka with me. He also offered to help me take pictures which was really kind. Was able to go to a number of places. I really enjoyed the tour!

Booked this tour last minute on Booking.com and it absolutely did not disappoint. I only had one day in Colombo before onward travels. Fasmy was a wonderful driver and guide, shared knowledgable facts about the city and the sites we saw as well as some local experiences which I was very appreciative about. We visited a lot of places in short time of 4 hours and it felt like I got a good enough snapshot of Colombo. Admission to most places were included as well.

The entire trip was a delight right from pick up. I booked through booking.com. The driver contacted me through WhatsApp with in 10 min and confirmed the pick up time and location. The driver was on time to pick us. Nasrin is the name of the driver. He is not just any driver but also a tour guide. His knowledge and the way he explained the history of each places is amazing. He speaks fluent English. Also he speaks Tamil and Hindi in addition to Sinhalese. Simply book and have an amazing tuk tuk city tour experience at Colombo which will be unforgettable.
Faslan was great! He was engaging and jolly and made the places we visited very interesting. He even taught me how to take the bus so as to save on fare as my hotel was outside Colombo. A little thing that meant a lot. Highly recommended!

Pickup, the driving through Colombo, the diversity that thrives this amazing Metropool is perfectly capitured by Fsalan and he has a good eye for the extra details you need. I would go again and recommend highly to ask for him to guide you. I had also the pleasure to get better knowledge about gemstones, and the tea tasting.

It was good experience in Colombo. Visited all tourist attractions in 3hrs. Yasir who is Tuk-Tuk driver has very good knowledge about places.
Our guide Fasmy was punctual, friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about all the sites that he took us to. This was probably one of the highlights of my time in Colombo.
We had a brilliant time on the city tour with Niswar yesterday, he arrived to our hotel promptly and with a big smile on his face, he was really knowledgeable about the area and got us around the city quickly even in heavy traffic, he explained everything really clearly and with a good sense of humour, we unfortunately had to cut our tour slightly short as we needed to catch a flight but he was more than helpful in dropping us off, we would definitely recommend this tour and especially reccomend Niswar!!
