Itinerary
Day 1
1
The Sigiriya Rock Fortress built back in 5th Century by King Kasyapa. It has been named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Apart from its gigantic size, Sigiriya’s wonder is in its advanced irrigation systems said to be well ahead of its time. engineers from around the globe are still bewildered by the existence of such advanced technology in such ancient times. The fortress is further enhanced by its beautiful water gardens, frescos of Sigiriya Damsels, the graffiti Mirror Wall and the giant paws of a lion carved into the rock at the entrance to the final ascent to the top.
Day 2
2
Anuradhapura is an ancient sacred city that was established around a cutting from Buddha’s fig tree. Dating back to the third century BC, Anuradhapura was established by the founder of an order of Buddhist nuns. This magnificent city of palaces, temples and monuments flourished for 1,300 years but was abandoned after it was invaded in the late 10th century. Much like Peru’s Machu Picchu, locals were aware of it but not many others until it was “discovered” by Europeans many centuries later. These fantastic ruins have since been excavated and are accessible for the public to enjoy.
Mihintale is a mountain near the town of Anuradhapura. Its summit has much spiritual significance to the Buddhist community. It’s believed that on this mountain top a Buddhist monk named Mahinda met King Devanampiyatissa and together this meeting introduced Buddhism to the country. Monk Mahinda impressed the King with the peacefulness of the Buddhist doctrine and his contented, serene nature. The King subsequently renounced war, and went on to spread peace throughout the nation. There are several impressive religious and historical structures on and around Mihintale Mountain. Hundreds of pilgrims visit the site each year.
Day 3
3
Polonnaruwa. The terms “beauty” and “beast” usually go together well, except at Polonnaruwa where beauty goes better with “ruins.” The second oldest kingdom in Sri Lanka, Polonnaruwa is known for the ruins of this ancient garden city. The 12th century ruins are some of the best preserved in the country. Polonnaruwa was a place where traders of exotic goods mingled with worshippers in the many temples. Start your tour of Polonnaruwa at the Archaeological Museum, then proceed to the massive (50 buildings) Royal Palace with its well-preserved audience hall. The stunningly decorated Sacred Quadrangle is another must-see here.
Minneriya is the largest known meeting place of Asian Elephants in the world. Huge herd of elephants, sometimes numbering up to 300, can be seen together within a few square kilometers of the Minneriya lake lake.
Day 4
4
The Dambulla Cave Temple is a sacred Buddhist site. There is no entry fee to get into the temple on full-moon days; however, these days are especially busy because of the religious significance of this lunar phase. Devotees from all over the world make pilgrimage to this place. There are over 80 caves documented in the area, but the most famous five are outfitted with impressive statues and paintings. Some of the caves date back to 1000 BC, when prehistoric Sri Lankans would have lived within them, so it is unsurprising that they would have created temples inside at that time. If you do plan to visit, please be aware that visitors must cover their shoulders and legs and remove shoes before entering the temple.
The A9 Hwy between Matale and Dambulla Dambulla road is famous for its spice gardens, with over 30 dotted along the road. All offer free tours of their gardens with an English-speaking guide who can explain the merits and health properties of herbs, spices and plants including cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, coriander, coffee, nutmeg, pepper, cardamom, aloe vera, iriweriya (tulsi) and the henna plant. Most visitors enjoy the tours and find them educational, but at some point you will be guided towards the gift shop, where some of the prices asked for products can be eye-watering; be prepared for a medium to hard sell and accept it as the price of your free tour.
Kandyan Cultural Show: Held in Kandy town, this cultural show depicts various forms of Kandyan dancing which was once native to the area but has now spread to different regions of the island. Originated from a dance performed by Indian shamans who came to the island, Kandyan dancing plays an important role in Sri Lankan culture and is a much-anticipated event during perahera processions. During the show, you will see several dances which depict the graceful movements of birds and animals, which trace their origins back to the ancient ritual known as the Kohomba Kapkariya, as well as energetic acrobatic performances where the men perform a series of leaping pirouettes and stunts such as plate-spinning and the dramatic ‘fire walk’ which ends the show.
Day 5
5
The Temple of the Tooth: The Temple of the Tooth is a highly sacred place. The temple contains one of Buddha’s teeth. Legend has it that the tooth was taken from the Buddha on his deathbed, then smuggled to Sri Lanka from India. It was smuggled in the hair of a princess, after her father’s kingdom had been besieged. It immediately became an object of great importance and has been celebrated and paraded throughout history. However, many attempts have also been made to steal or destroy the tooth. Twice daily, pujas are held to celebrate the relic and offer visitors and devotees the chance to get a glimpse of the tooth within its casing.
The Royal Botanical Gardens, located just outside of Kandy, are Sri Lanka’s largest landscaped gardens, spanning over 60 hectares. The origin of the gardens dates back to the 14th century, but they were not formally established until 1843 when the British took control of the Kandyan Kingdom. During the development of the gardens, a wide variety of plants were moved from several other parts of the island including Slave Island in Colombo and Kalutara on the west coast. Many species were also shipped from Kew Gardens in London, which has the most diverse botanical collection in the world. The Royal Botanical Gardens are now home to 4,000 different species of plants and over 10,000 trees, showcasing all of Sri Lanka’s flora and many other tropical plants not native to the island. Walk down avenues framed by towering coconut palms; shelter beneath the sprawling canopy of the old Javan fig tree; marvel at the extensive collection of orchids, and see giant fruit bats hanging in their hundreds from the tree tops.
Day 6
6
White Water Rafting. Experience White Water Rafting in the picturesque Kelani River, covering 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids. This activity is for anyone above the age of 10 years with safety gear, modern rafts, and a comprehensive safety briefing will be given by our white water rafting instructors beforehand. The distance covered is around 5 KMs. The river and its surrounding will make you feel enchanted, with a memorable Experience during your White-Water Rafting Tour in Kitulagala.
Adam’s Peak At the summit of Adam’s Peak is a footprint cast in stone. It has spiritual significance to a number of different religions, however, there is currently a Buddhist monastery at the summit. To the Buddhists, the footprint is that of Buddha’s; to Christians, the footprint is Adam’s; and to Hindus, the footprint is attributed to Shiva. The site is a popular place of pilgrimage, especially on full moon nights. The trek to the top of the mountain to see the footprint is via a steep staircase containing over 5000 steps. The trail is lined with many tea stalls and food shops which act as places of rest. Most people begin their hike at 2:30 am to reach the summit in time for sunrise. December to April is the season. Offseason climb is a challenge.
Day 7
7
Gregory Lake or Gregory Reservoir, is a reservoir in heart of the tea country hill city, Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. Lake Gregory was constructed during the period of British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873.
Nuwara Eliya city tour. Sri Lanka is famous for its tea. What better place to learn more about tea than the source itself: Nuwara Eliya. With a temperate climate and elevation of 1,900 meters (6,100 feet), Nuwara Eliya is the country’s tea production capital. You can tour a tea plantation and see how tea is made. Founded in the 19th century, this hill country town soon became a retreat for British colonists, earning the nickname Little England. April is a good time to visit, when visitors flock here to see the blossoms and celebrate Sri Lanka New Year. Other sights include Lake Gregory and Laxapana, Sri Lanka’s most famous waterfalls.
St. Clair's Falls is one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka and is commonly known as the "Little Niagara of Sri Lanka". It is one of six waterfalls affected by the Upper Kotmale Hydropower Project.
Devon Falls, known as the 'Veil of the Valley', is a waterfall in Sri Lanka, situated 6 km west of Talawakele, Nuwara Eliya District on the A7 highway. The falls is named after a pioneer English coffee planter called Devon, whose plantation was situated nearby the falls.
Day 8
8
The train trip from Nauoya to Ella, or the other way around, is considered to be one of the most beautiful train trips in the world. This train ride is 3 hours long and takes you through stunning landscapes of green and lush tea plantations and mountain views. This trip is very popular, both among tourists and the locals. I highly recommend that you buy tickets well in advance. You can also buy tickets at any train station in Sri Lanka for the date you want.
Ella is a small town in the Badulla. It is approximately 200 kilometres east of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 1,041 metres above sea level. The area has a rich bio-diversity, dense with numerous varieties of flora and fauna. The Ella town itself is surrounded by the beautiful hills of the Central highlands; covered in rolling green tea estates, the tall trees of cloud forests, and interesting natural formations. The town is a delight to be in as it maintains its originality and rural feel while still catering to the thousands of tourists that visit it during seasonal highs.
Day 9
9
Little Adam's Peak. Although this climb is relatively easy, the views from the top of Little Adam’s Peak are sensational. Begin the climb with a gentle stroll through a sloping tea field, passing endless neat rows of terraced tea plants, before ascending a short stretch of winding steps up to the top of the peak. From the top, there is a spectacular panorama featuring Ella Rock, rolling tea fields and the Ella gap, a deep gorge that leads all the way down to the southern valleys. On a clear day, you can see all the way to the south coast with the ocean glimmering on the horizon.
Nine Arch Bridge Located in Ella, the Nine Arch Bridge is one of the most iconic bridges in Sri Lanka and is a stunning example of the incredible engineering prowess behind the island’s railway system. First constructed in the 19th century during the British colonial period, Sri Lanka’s railway line remains the easiest and most picturesque way to access the hill country. Built in 1921, the Nine Arch Bridge is a 30-metre-high viaduct with dramatic, high arches, a beautiful piece of architecture which stands in testament to the exceptional engineering skills of the British.
Day 10
10
Ravana Falls. The beautiful Ravana Falls are used for bathing in the hot summer months. In the rainy season, the water flow is exceptionally strong and is an impressive sight. The falls are part of the Ravana Ella Wildlife Sanctuary, and the nearby cave complex is rich in local legend. Conveniently located on the main road on the way to Ella town, the caves are a common stop off point for visitors during their journey. Many cheeky monkeys live in the surrounding trees and they are often seen on the roadside dining on fruit. However, don’t let them get too close, as sometimes they can get over-friendly with visitors.
Buduruwagala. The ancient rock carvings at Buduruwagala, close to Welawaya, date back to the 8th century. Seven gigantic Buddhist figures are sculpted into a 70ft cliff including a colossal image of Lord Buddha spanning a height of about 50ft.
Yala National Park is made up of spellbinding vistas and a true abundance of Sri Lankan wildlife. It has the highest density of leopards in the world, so chances of seeing them are very high. Although leopards are the main attraction here, they are followed closely by elephants, sloth bears and crocodiles. The park is divided into five blocks; some of which were zoned to hunters until Yala became a national park in 1938. Ensure you make time to visit the very informative visitor center at the entrance of the park for insightful displays about the area.
Day 11
11
Mirissa is the ultimate Sri Lankan beach getaway. The beautiful long beach is flanked by tall overhanging palm trees and lined with modern restaurants and hotels. The restaurants have western style food at Sri Lankan prices. Just off the beach is Parrot Rock. It has a small staircase leading to the top that offers great views of the ocean and coastline. Day trips from Mirissa include whale watching, snorkeling and surfing. Weligama, just a few kilometers from Mirissa, is one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka to learn surfing. Come happy hour and into the evening, many the restaurants turn their venues into beach clubs and pump out drinks and tunes.
Unawatuna. This white sand beach in the small seaside town of Unawatuna is a great place to relax. There are a number of snorkeling and diving operators in town who take advantage of the abundance of coral reefs just off the beach. Colorful fish and plentiful turtles are the norm in these waters. There are a number of great dining options along the beach, which welcome visitors to use their sun loungers and relax the day away with a drink in hand.
Day 12
12
Whale and dolphin watching in Mirissa is one of the most exciting water activities you can do in Sri Lanka during your beach holiday. Mirissa is the best place to start your whale and dolphin watching tour in Sri Lanka. In warm Indian Ocean you can see Blue whales, Bryde´s whales, Sperm whales, Fin whales, sometimes Killer whales, and Common dolphins, Bottlenose dolphins, Spinner dolphins, Risso's dolphins and Striped dolphins. Sometimes you can see turtles and various fish species, for example Bluefin tuna and flying fish. Our boat leaves from Mirissa harbor at 6:00 o´clock in the morning and the tours last 3-5 hours (depends on spotting of whales and wish of our passengers). Afternoons is the ocean usually rough and not suitable for whale watching. Swimming with the whales and dolphins is not permitted. Your breakfast will be provided in the boat foc.
Stilt fishing, a unique Sri Lankan tradition, requires a great deal of patience. From a high position, the fisherman casts his line, and waits until a fish comes along to be caught. This method of fishing generally targets small fish. It involves waiting for several hours in complete silence to catch the fish. The majority of fishermen who practice this method of fishing are those who do not own modern fishing equipment. In this simple method all what they need is the stilt which is made by tying a small cross bar on to a pole, and the fishing rod. Fishermen themselves create this equipment, using the skills passed from one generation to another.
Day 13
13
Galle Fort It is easy to get lost in the cobblestoned alleyways and streets within Galle Fort. Today the area is full of modern restaurants, hotels, clothing, and souvenir shops. Meanwhile, snake charmers and buskers line the seawall. However, the fort was not always such a cosmopolitan spot. A basic fort was constructed by the Portuguese when they made their first landing to the island in 1505. When the Dutch eventually seized control of Galle, they made a number of improvements; including the enormous sea wall that still lines the fort. Galle Fort is an excellent example of what the synthesis between European and Asian architecture looks like.
The Madu Ganga River is a complex coastal ecosystem of mangroves and islands. It may be one of the last remaining tracts of pristine mangrove forests in Sri Lanka.A boat trip is a wonderful way of seeing some of the hundreds of species of plants and animals – monkeys eat fruit in the trees, a water monitor lizard glides slowly through the water, and cormorants, egrets and kingfishers wait patiently on the banks, eyeing the water for prey. There are around 64 islands in the river and lagoon, from a tiny speck housing a deserted shrine to one housing 250 families connected to the mainland with a very long footbridge. You can visit an island with a Buddhist monastery, where the friendly young monks will show you a 150-year-old book made of palm leaves and how they cook on cinnamon wood on an open fire. The main occupations of the local inhabitants are producing cinnamon and prawn fishing – if you take the trip in the evening you will see the fishermen in their canoes lighting lanterns to attract the shellfish into their traps.
sea turtle hatchery. The main aim of the project is to monitor local sea turtle activity and conserve the local nesting sites. One of the most important activities of the project is its hatchery. Within the sanctuary of the project, collected and rescued eggs can hatch safely away from predators before being released into the sea. In addition, a certain number from each hatching are kept back for a short period for 'head starting' before release. The hatchery program is designed to maximise the number of hatchlings reaching the sea and surviving through the critical stages of their early life
Day 14
14
Colombo city of 3 hours. Visit the highlights of the city including Galle Face Green, Barefoot, Viharamahadevi Park, Dutch Period Museum, Dutch Hospital, Old City Hall, Arcade Independence Square, Seema Malakaya Meditation Centre, Jami-Ul-Alfar Mosque, Wolvendaal Church, St Anthony’s Church, Gangaramaya Temple, Independence Memorial Hall, St Lucia’s Cathedral, and more.
Galle Face Green is a 5 ha (12 acres) ocean-side urban park, which stretches for 500 m (1,600 ft) along the coast, in the heart of Colombo, the financial and business capital of Sri Lanka. The promenade was initially laid out in 1859 by Governor Sir Henry George Ward, although the original Galle Face Green extended over a much larger area than is seen today. The Galle Face Green was initially used for horse racing and as a golf course, but was also used for cricket, polo, football, tennis and rugby.

I booked a two-week “Best of Sri Lanka” tour directly with Off 2 Sri Lanka Tours and worked closely with Menaka from the very beginning. Before booking, I contacted several well-known tour operators, but Menaka stood out for his professionalism, knowledge, patience, and ability to create a personalised itinerary tailored to our specific needs. As we were travelling with our 5-year-old daughter, we wanted to experience the highlights of Sri Lanka while maintaining a relaxed pace. Menaka designed the perfect itinerary, balancing sightseeing with downtime, which made our holiday enjoyable and stress-free. He was highly responsive, often replying promptly at any time of day, and was always courteous, professional, and incredibly helpful. His attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to accommodate our requests gave us complete confidence in booking with him. His pricing was also very reasonable, and he works hard to tailor trips to different budgets. I must admit that I am not the easiest person to please and have very high expectations, but Menaka exceeded them all. Nothing was too much trouble, and every request was handled efficiently and professionally. For our two-week tour, Menaka assigned us a wonderful chauffeur guide, Hemanthe Kodithuwakka. He was absolutely fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, funny, helpful, and a pleasure to spend time with. He played a huge part in making our holiday so memorable. He was especially wonderful with our daughter, who quickly became very fond of him. By the end of the trip, we felt he was more like a friend than a guide, and we genuinely miss him!! I would highly recommend Off 2 Sri Lanka Tours to anyone looking for a trustworthy company that offers high-quality, tailor-made itineraries. One thing I particularly appreciated was that Menaka stayed in touch throughout our trip. Many tour operators disappear once they assign a guide, but Menaka regularly checked in to ensure everything was going smoothly, which showed how much he genuinely cares about his clients. The excursions he arranged were excellent and of a very high standard. I would especially recommend the Village Tour, Madu River Safari, Yala and Minneriya Safaris, the famous train journey through the hill country, and the incredible Cultural Triangle sites. Thank you, Menaka and Hemanthe, for giving our family an unforgettable Sri Lankan adventure. We would not hesitate to recommend your services and hope to return one day!
Had a fabulous couple of weeks in Sri Lanka, already thinking about the next trip! From the onset of planning, I felt re-assured by Menaka’s quick responses to any queries, and his general overall professionalism. My daughter and I enjoyed a variety of sights and experiences, - including cultural, wildlife and some beach time. Our driver Damith was fantastic. Not only did he drive us safely from place to place, but he also acted as our guide, providing suggestions, and adding so much more insight and depth to the experience. Always punctual and friendly, he is to be recommended as an excellent driver/guide. Looking forward to our next trip organised by Menaka and team.
Menaka organised the tour for us. It was extremely well organised. Everything went smoothly. Our driver Udayange was just brilliant. Often, we wanted a coconut water break and we stopped on the roadside. Where ever we felt a break was needed, he would oblige. We also went to many local restaurants and had the pleasure of experiencing local food. Thank you to the team at Off2Srilanka tours for a memorable holiday.
Menaka helped plan our itinerary, secured hotels, greeted us at airport and then handed over to guide/driver who was very knowledgeable, patient and accommodating. It turned out to be a very enjoyable and memorable holiday. No hesitation in recommending Off2SL tours
The bestest tour agency ever! Mr Menaka was absolutely accommodating in drawing out the perfect itinerary. We were given excellent hotels and an even better tour guide, Uday! Never at any point we were left stranded. Highly recommended. Im definitely returning to Sri Lanka and will only be using their services
This was our first time in Sri Lanka, and since we wanted to explore everything - from culture and history to national parks, mountains, and finally some relaxing days at the beach - we knew we would need a reliable company that could offer both safety and deep local knowledge. Sri Lanka is definitely a country where having a good driver is essential if you plan a road trip. We carefully researched several companies, and in the end, we couldn’t be happier with our choice of Off2Sri Lanka and their entire team. Everything was extremely well organized, communication was smooth from the beginning, and everyone we interacted with was professional, polite, and genuinely helpful. A special mention goes to our guide and driver, Hemantha. He is very well educated, knowledgeable, precise, and always respectful. Traveling with him made us feel completely safe, and learning about Sri Lanka through his stories and explanations made the journey even more meaningful. Thanks to him, we’re already thinking about coming back. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to truly experience Sri Lanka with confidence and comfort.
Menaka compiled an amazing itinerary that addressed all of our needs… ancient sites, hiking, cultural and religious experiences… our driver/guides were great and spoke English well…
15 of us did this trip as we are batch mates and we all turned 70 last year. This Company was recommended to me by a friend. When I called Menaka and told him of our interests, he gave me the absolute confidence that he will be able to make our dream come true. He was so prompt in his dealings with me. Very courteous, accommodating and helped us to plan our destinations of interests The two drivers assigned to us were par excellent. They catered to all our requests, stopping for thambili, other interests without a trace of impatience. We felt so safe with them. Menaka periodically would check with me if all was going well. From start to finish everything was arranged meticulously to make our trip such a memorable one. I, together with my friends without any hesitance will recommend Off2SriLanka travels.
Sri Lanka was truly a wow experience, but not just because of the scenery — it’s a trip that leaves you with perspective and understanding by the end. We visited all the must-see places and stayed in excellent hotels throughout. The route was very well balanced and included wildlife, nature, culture, and real local life: elephants, lagoons and river safaris, monkeys, villages, and daily encounters with warm, welcoming locals. Highlights: Sigiriya was absolutely unforgettable. The hotel in Nuwara Eliya and the whole “Little England” area were another standout — cooler weather, beautiful views, and a completely different atmosphere from the coast. Wildlife & attractions: Some places can feel very touristy, especially in high season. One honest tip: an elephant safari isn’t really necessary if you visit an elephant recovery farm instead — it’s more meaningful and calmer. If wildlife is important to you, it’s better to include Yala National Park, which gives a much richer experience. Accommodation: All the hotels we stayed in were top-level — comfort, service, and locations were excellent, and they really upgraded the entire trip. Transport & guide: Our driver and guide, Hemantha, deserves special mention. Easily one of the best drivers in Sri Lanka — professional, calm, and incredibly knowledgeable about the country, traditions, and wildlife. Having the right guide makes a huge difference here, and he did. Food: We loved the food and often asked to stop at local places, which turned out to be some of the best meals of the trip. Fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. Activities: Most activities were very good. The cooking class was okay but more moderate compared to everything else, tea collecting experience was very nice and special. Tips for future travelers: Combine wildlife with the must-see sights, but be aware that some “must-see” places are more suited to backpackers than travelers looking for comfort. Sri Lanka is amazing — but you should choose the route based on the type of traveler you are. Who this trip is for: Perfect for travelers who love wildlife, authentic local life, and real local food. If you don’t enjoy nature, animals, or cultural experiences, this may not be the right destination. Communication with Menaka: Always online, quick answers, truly helpful and care. Do all his best to upgrade the experience. Overall, Sri Lanka exceeded expectations and left us with memories — and lessons — that stay with you long after the trip ends
My Alumni Group - all Senior Citizens from different parts of the world had a memorable 11-day tour organized by Off2SriLanka Tours. Menake Arangala handled our tour with expertise, efficiency and courtesy and driver Ashoka was so caring to our needs. We would certainly use this established for another tour to sunny Sri Lanka.
I did a two week tour around Sri Lanka with my family in August. Our guide, Hemantha was incredibly knowledgeable of Sri Lanka; particularly when regarding the biodiversity and different landscapes. He was also very friendly and humorous, and made the trip so much more enjoyable! I would most definitely recommend using Off 2 Sri Lanka, and if you’re lucky enough to get Hemantha, trust that you’re in good hands! He’s an excellent driver as well!
We recently returned from a 10-day trip across Sri Lanka, and our experience wouldn’t have been half as memorable without Hemantha by our side. Traveling with my 6-year-old son, I was looking for someone who could not only show us the country’s beauty but also make the journey comfortable, flexible, and stress-free — and Hemantha exceeded every expectation. From the moment he picked us up at the airport, he was warm, friendly, and incredibly patient. He instinctively knew when to suggest the perfect stop for a snack, a scenic view, or a quick play break for my son. His car was always spotless, stocked with water, and driven with great care — making every long drive feel easy and safe. What stood out most was his deep knowledge of Sri Lanka — not just the famous landmarks but also the hidden gems and local spots we’d never have found on our own. If you’re visiting Sri Lanka, especially with family, I can’t recommend Menaka and Hemantha enough. Their professionalism, kindness, and passion for his country turned our holiday into a truly unforgettable adventure.
Great guide, very friendly and easy to talk with. Had a great time learning about the country and eating great food. Even though drives were long the views were worth it.
The team at Off to Sri Lanka are wonderful. Menaka was kind and professional in helping us to decide our itinerary. He has endless patience and very customer focused. Our guide Hemantha is a great driver and was always friendly and knowledgeable, adapting to our family needs if required. We loved our trip to Sri Lanka and would return in a heartbeat.
We head a great time during the two weeks. We had a very informative tour and learnt a lot about the country, its wildlife, plants and fruit. Hemantha and the whole team met all our needs, were flexible at all times. We can definitely recommend Off 2 Tour Sri Lanka and Hemantha as a Tourguide. Thank you for two very special weeks.
Out holiday was a tailor made 2 week tour which was well organised by Maneka at Off2Srilanks tours. He was very accomodatig and patient when tailoring our tour. We had very good drivers (Jaya & Sumudhu) with excellent local and historical knowledge. So our drivers were guides too. I would highly recommend Off2Srilanka tours, for their efficiency in organising, guiding and meeting all their clients needs with utmost care. Thank you Maneka, Jaya and Sumudhu.
We had a great time on this entire trip, starting from a warm welcome at the airport by Mr. Menaka and our guide Mr. Hemantha. All hotels were excellent and choice of food was good. We explored Anuradhapura, Polunnaruwa, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Yala, Galle and Colombo… we enjoyed the cultural show in Kandy, adventure package included National Park Safari, Elephant Safari, Boat Rides, Open train ride, Sea Turtle Hatchery and dining in many local places. Shopping for Batik in Colombo. Must have a meal at Yala Wild Heart restaurant to savor authentic Srilankan meal. Another highlight was Srilankan food demonstration followed by sumptuous yummy meal thoroughly enjoyed by my daughter. We celebrated her birthday in Srilanka and celebration arrangements were excellently managed by Mr. Menaka that included cakes including an eggless cake for us and chocolate cake for my daughter, balloon decor and dinner.
We had a great time in Sri Lanka. Hemantha was an excellent host. Very polite, considerate and attentive. There was only two of us so we could tailor the trip to do what we want.
We have hired a driver via Off 2 Sri Lanka to accompany us during our 3 week trip with our family of 5. The communication with the manager of the office (Menaka) before the trip was very easy. He was fast, responsive and flexible. I booked all the accomodation myself, showed him our schedule and he made a few usefull suggestions. We were picked up from the airport by Menaka and our driver Ashoka in the middle of the night and they welcomed us with flowers! Ashoka was an excellent /safe driver and great company in many ways. He has a friendly cheerfull character (important if you spend 3 weeks together!). Ashoka accompanied us during many excursions, both culture and nature oriented. Sometimes on the basis of our proposals, sometimes suggestions from his site. Always in close alignment. His knowledge of Sri lankan history and culture is great. But we especially appreciated his knowledge of nature, wildlife and birds. Birding and photography are his hobbies and he took us to many places with rare and shy birds. He knows literally every bird and shared all his beautiful pictures made during the trip with us afterwards.
The trip was organised so well by Mr Menaka and his team. Mr Hemantha was there with us throughout the trip helping us understand the Sri Lankan culture, food, history etc as a guide and drove us everywhere comfortably. I highly rate the team and the way they planned our day trips throughout our 9 days stay in Sri Lanka. Go ahead and plan your dream destination with Mr Menaka without a doubt !! Thank you again Mr Menaka and team for such pleasant memories :)
My best of Sri Lanka, intrepid tour was just the best. My guide Mahendra, went beyond what was I expected as a guide. He was so knowledgeable, responsible patient, kind and caring. What we saw and did was so interesting, varied and involved local involvement. We rode, walked and climbed in a very safe and well paced time with breaks and alternative options if you didn’t feel up to the adventure on the day. When we went on the local bus and trains. Our luggage was taken by our mini bus so we were unencumbered in order to have the opportunity to mix and chat with the locals. All transport was immaculately clean and safe to travel within. The local people were so friendly, helpful and willing to assist in any way without asking for compensation. We were able to eat salads and have ice in drinks which you fear having in other Asian countries. Intrepid had bulk water containers in our bus and hotels for refilling our water bottles we bought from home. We were provided with cold fruit on returning to our bus from an active activity and Mahendra asked that we have cold flannels provided. Our accommodation was superb and had pools to flop into in our free time. I could not have asked for more.
We travelled with 2 kids, and Menaka and his team put a tailored made trip that made our experience remarkable. Our guide, Ashoka, is very knowledgeable about his country, has a great attitude and was very accommodating to every request. I will recommend it 100% for a hassle free and enjoyable holiday in Sri Lanka
We are very happy with their service especially our driver Narmal who was very professional, kind, very knowledgeable and flexible as a driver. We travelled with very small children and our trip was a pleasant experience. Menaka was also very responsive and professional in booking the travel plans for us. I highly recommend their services!
We had a magical holiday in September in this beautiful Island of Srilanka. Made possible by Menaka and his team from Off2Srilanka who were simply superb in organising things. Meticulous planning, ever changing itinerary, room upgrades, millions of questions, late night chats- All these were handled with care and friendliness. Result of this hard work put in by Menaka and team made us have such a memorable holiday. Under the able guidance of Jaya( superb driver cum guide) who took us across the length and breadth of southern Srilanka in his posh van and was always there to help us answer any questions. Safety, Security and a sense of trust prevailed before, during and after the trip. Menaka and team ensured that we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Galle, Bentota and Colombo. Choosing some premium properties - some of the best in the world, coupled with some dreamy locations, unparalleled hospitality, Gourmet style food and just clean air, green pastures, mountains, Tea estates, peacocks, leapords in the National park, pure Kithul jaggery from the source, spices from the spice gardens, ever smiling people always willing to help - Srilanka you beauty! mesmerised us all. We left the country so happy and god willing will return again!!. Menaka, Jaya and team are simply brilliant and will highly recommend them for any of your travel needs in Srilanka. Thank you so much Menaka for everything. Off2Srilanka rocks!!
My son and I visited in Sri Lankan in August. We arranged all our travel arrangements including making hotel reservations threw Off 2 Sri Lankan Private Tours. Everything was arranged perfectly and to our satisfaction by Menaka who I believe is one of the partners of Off 2 Sri Lankan Private Tours. Also, he arranged a car with the driver, and the driver’s name is Ashoka who is very reliable and responsible who is also our tour guide. My son I were very happy with their services and will not hesitate to recommend to anyone who needs a reliable tour company in Sri Lanka. We are planning to visit again in 2025 and we will be happy to go back to this travel agency for all our travel needs when we return. Please keep up the good work Menaka.
Lovely coutry, nice people, fantasitc nauture, good food, wonderfull sea. I can only recommend to go.
The service provided by Off 2 Sri Lanka Tours was amazing, starting from deciding on what to see and to saying goodbye in the airport. Very knowledgeable, flexible, welcoming. On top of this Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with a lot to see: national parks, wild animals, beaches, ancient history, and friendly people. Highly recommended. Thank you Off 2 Sri Lanka Tours
We created the itinerary and requested Menaka to help us close one destination after another. He was very supportive and gave us the best options. Ashoka the person who accompanied us through the trip was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took care of us very well. We learnt a lot about the flora and fauna of the country as well. This trip help us discover the beautiful country of Sri Lanka and its warm people. Looking forward to more travel in Sri Lanka shortly :-)
Menaka arranged a bespoke itinerary for my family and I over email and WhatsApp. He was very attentive and made changes up to the moment we were leaving. Furthermore, Sumudu our driver was an excellent guide. Brilliant with the kids, extremely knowledgeable and hospitable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide during our time there. I’d highly recommend using their services when looking to explore Sri Lanka!
I couldn’t recommend this company enough. We enquired about it in February for our honeymoon and Menaka was amazing from the outset. He gave great advice on what to do and where to go and told us exactly what we needed to do to travel to Sri Lanka. He was also very friendly and timely in his responses. He booked everything for us and took any stress out of booking the honeymoon. When we arrived at Colombo we were met with our driver/tour guide Hemanthe, who was brilliant. He was very friendly, helpful and made our trip to Sri Lanka so good. He took all of the stress out of our trip and made us feel at ease immediately. He was very knowledgeable and made things so easy for us. He was a great tour guide and he showed us so many amazing things Sri Lanka had to offer. It was great getting to know him during the trip and we loved every second of it. Sri Lanka is by far one of the best places I’ve ever been and off 2 Sri Lanka tours made our honeymoon event better! Thanks!
Off2SriLanka gave us a trip of a lifetime. Namal, our guide, picked us up from the airport and from day one he was concerned, flexible and a great guide. Menaka helped out during the planning of the trip. We had our itenary in mind and he gave great suggestions. We travelled with a 4 and 5 year old which worked well. Highly recommend Off2srilanka if you are planning a visit in Sri Lanka! (We did this in 2018!)
Highly recommended to everyone to go with off 2 Sri Lanka, those who plan for their trips to Sri a Lanka Extremely honest and nice person.
Everything was nice and we felt very good with it! The driver was very friendly and a very good driver!🙏🏻👏🏻. We will definitely tell to others about it.
Our tour through Sri Lanka was, partly because of our guide Hemantha, great! We were safely driven around by him and he made sure everything was well arranged. Along the way and during the various excursions, he told us all about Sri Lanka in terms of culture, animals, food etc., so we got to know the country well. We were also always very flexible when we sometimes wanted to change the planned programme. Everything was done to ensure that we could make the most beautiful trip possible. In short I would recommend anyone a tour via Off 2 Sri Lanka private tours in Sri Lanka!
Together with Menaka, we put together a trip beforehand, in which omze wishes were fully fitted. This both for activities and for overnight stays. Our excellent, knowledgeable guide and private driver Hermantha has accompanied us for 2 weeks. He has a lot of knowledge of his land, trees, plants, but especially of the many birds. He doesn't need binoculars. In addition, we were able to call on him 24/7 to take us to a restaurant or to another activity we had not planned. His presence was an absolute added value for us!
The last 2 weeks have been fantastic! This is mainly because of our super fine Guide Hemantha. He taught us a lot about nature, animals, culture and much more. We laughed a lot and got to know each other. The communication went super well in English and we could make clear agreements. Should there suddenly be a change from our side in the planning, this was finely picked up and adjusted. The guide (Hemantha) always thought along with us. Sri Lanka is a beautiful island where there is plenty to see and do. The people are all friendly and warmly welcomed you. I would definitely recommend a holiday to Sri Lanka!
Excellent organization of our stay and visits for 2 weeks in Sri Lanka! Menaka, the head of the agency constantly ensured the smooth running of our trip! It was very good advice before the trip and always available during our itinerary. Our driver guide, Hemantha, was very attentive to each of us. A true guardian angel! He is an expert on local wildlife and especially birds. Thanks to him, I was able to satisfy my passion for wildlife photography!
Over two weeks on the road with our guide Ashoka. From pick up from the airport to the end of the tour we had a fantastic time. We were super welcomed on arrival with beautiful floral wreaths. Ashoka has told us a lot about Sri Lanka and always thought along about our excursions. We would recommend everyone to book with Off2 Sri Lanka! Thank you so much for the great holiday!
We had a really great tour guide with our driver Hemantha, he told us a lot about Srilanka and showed us. He knows practically all the birds in Srilanka, which was very impressive. His driving was pleasant. On the days when we haven't planned anything yet, he always asked what Enterprises could do in the area and made us suggestions. He has always responded to our wishes. He drove us everywhere, was always available to us, even spontaneously. Hemantha has a very pleasant, quiet manner and he was just a great companion. Already when booking our round trip I noticed the professionalism of Menaka. He was very efficient and also flexible to respond to our wishes. We extended our trip at short notice by 2 days, which led to some adjustments at the hotels, all no problem for Off2Srilanka. We are thrilled and it was a really great, even relaxed holiday for us. And this despite the fact that we really had many stations and had to pack again and again. The journeys through the country are simply impressive.
a great 5 star hotel. nothing more you can expect. super friendly staff. gladly more of it. goes and enjoys.
Our trip to Sri Lanka was interesting and varied not only for the beauty of nature and culture of this country, but also for the organization of this agency, always ready to listen to the various needs of the group. The two weeks of tour were spent between wonder and smiles in constant contact with Menaka and in the company of our guide/driver Sumudu Peiris: his knowledge of places and culture and professionalism, kindness and availability were fundamental to fully enjoy the extraordinary possibilities of discovery and knowledge of Sri Lanka. The smiling people of this island and their everyday life, the landscapes, flora and fauna...each stop of our tour was special for us and our photographs and the meeting of the whole group for an end of trip dinner offered by Menaka sealed in a welcoming and kind way the end of this experience that we recommend to everyone. Przecudowna podróż po Sri Lance dzięki przewodnikowi Hemantha. Spędziliśmy wspaniałe chwile. Niesamowite safarii, podróż pociągiem, przepiękne widoki i cudne zwierzęta. Zachody i wschody słońca zapierające dech w piersiach a wszystko to dzięki naszemu kierowcy z Off2srilanka Tours.
I called on Menaka via WhatsApp to offer us a quote for a tour lasting more than two weeks in Sri Lanka. I gave him the dates and places I wanted to visit and he made me an excellent proposal with a very very decent price. This is the best price I have had among the guides/agencies I contacted. The whole included the private driver guide, the air-conditioned car, fuel costs etc ... Menaka has always been attentive before, during and after our trip to Sri Lanka. He is a great and very honest person who has now become our first Sri Lankan friendw I recommend this agency with your eyes closed. They are very kind and attentive professionals. They adapt perfectly to your needs and programs. They know Sri Lanka very well and they will not hesitate to inform and advise you. Many thanks to Menaka!
