All Inclusive Sigiriya And Dambulla Day Tour From Colombo

We started from our Colombo hotel after breakfast at 7:30am and reached Sigiriya 3h45 mins later. Our driver/guide (Heshan) was excellent and informative and in touch via Whatsapp in the run up to our tour. After climbing the rock we had a buffet lunch in a traditional clay hut in Sigiriya. Then we headed to Dambulla Cave Rock Temple which is another must-see. At special request the driver dropped us off in Kandy for the night (extra USD 25) so that we could explore Kandy City the following day. This level of flexibility is outstanding. Highly recommended tour and tour operator.

The journey was very well organized and covered most of Sri Lanka’s must-see attractions. From cultural sites to scenic views, the itinerary was comprehensive and satisfying. A special shout-out to our driver, Jerry. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. He explained the history and stories behind every tourist spot, which made the trip much more meaningful. Even though the coordinator provided us with a lot of incorrect information, which caused much confusion, fortunately, Jerry went above and beyond to actively help us find solutions and make sure the trip still met our expectations. Without him, the experience would have been very different. Would recommend – especially if you’re lucky enough to have Jerry as your driver!

As a family of 4 (including a 9 yr old and a 12 yr old), we just completed a 6 night/7 day tour in Sri Lanka organised by Ceylon Empire Travel agency. To start with the organisation and reactivity with Malsha was first class. We communicated clearly through WhatsApp and Malsha was able to identify and plan what out family was looking for (culture, comfort, good food). Our guide Chathu was waiting for us at Colombo when we arrived and greeted us with flowers. Chathu accompanied us throughout and was a great companion on the trip. Kind, respectful, thoughtful… there is nothing that he wouldn’t do for us to make sure we enjoyed our short stay and left with wonderful memories. We had an amazing time and eventhough it was sometimes packed, there is nothing that we would have changed. Thank you Malsha ans Chathu for making our vacation truly memorable.

Vihanga is very responsive and professional. Easy to deal with her and always keep check on our well-being while Mr Roshan nothing to complain. Punctual, well dress, always ready and even willing to accompany us to the top of little adam peaks as both of us is not that fit but we manage to reach up there. I truly believed they deserved 5 star. Thanks for us.

The “knowledgeable English speaking guide” picked us up and did not speak a word to us for 3 hour journey from Colombo to Sigiriya. He then told us to pay a guide for the trip round Sigiriya, which we refused as it was an all inclusive tour. I had to phone his boss to get this paid. We went for lunch, via somewhere he tried to sell us “add on tours” at additional cost which we declined. He then took us to Dambulla cave temples which he knew absolutely nothing about. We knew more about them by reading a brief guide before booking the tours. The experience of Sigiriya and Dambulla were excellent and would highly recommend a visit, but this is the worst Viator booked guide we have had anywhere in the world and we would have been better off with a friendly taxi driver.

The Ceylon Empire team were so thoughtful and attentive. Nishadi planned my tour and booked excellent hotels, with great rooms. She also rang ahead with my dietary requirements which was so helpful. My driver Saman was absolutely brilliant. He also organised ahead with contacts and guides to ensure my trip was really special.

We did a week’s tour with Ceylon Empire travels and absolutely loved it. The experience, right from booking and finalising the trip with Kitherai was brilliant. She responded to every query , almost at any time, virtually instantly. Our driver and tour guide, Roshsn Perera, was absolutely brilliant. Lovely guy who’s safe driving and ability to flex the trip around what we felt like doing each day was just perfect. I thoroughly recommend them.

It was a very professionally organized tour of Srilanka. We had a very wonderful experience of the whole tour . Right from the time we arrived at Colombo international airport till our departure back after the tour was Avery memorable. The car driver Mr.Chatu was very cordial and an extremely well mannered gentleman. All the hotels where we had stayed in the six days of our tour in Colombo, Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwaraelia, etc was very good and we all had a very comfortable stay . Good arrangements were made. All the requests were accommodated. Driver Chathu was very helpful throughout the trip of 7 days. Panchali was very kind enough un responding all the questions in time. Though told not to come she came all the way to hotel to greet us.

What an amazing experience. My husband and I recently completed a 12 day tour of this amazing country with the expert help from Malsha who fine tuned our itinerary to suit us, she always responded very quickly, not sure when she ever sleeps. We selected Sri Lanka as the destination for our honeymoon, with the intention of experiencing the finest aspects of this beautiful country. Awesome service by Ceylon Empire. We had a wonderful trip arranged by them (Numata, Isu and Oshada) . Friendly staff who were always prompt in answering all our questions and concerns. We had an awesome tour guide (Mr.Subashana) who takes us to all places and provide great explanation. He drove us safely the whole trip. He is punctual and covered all places as promised in our iternary. He took care of our safety at all times. We will definitely recommend Ceylon Empire to our friends who wants to travel to Sri Lanka in the future.

Without doubt one of the favourite trip we ever had all thanks to Sachethana and Sam. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Oshada (very humble person) and Guide Sam (best person you could ever get anywhere), our names were mentioned on the board and we felt welcomed and with such a friendly atmosphere we had a fantastic start! The guide and tour was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that he deserves a special thanks. As soon as we arrived We wanted to have warm water for baby food and Oshada helped us with that. Not only that but he helped us with Simcard purchase too. We had a 7 night and 6 day tour planned with the help of Sachethana Kavindi. She not only gave us a good deal but also made arrangements as per our liking. And kept in touch throughout the tour to check if we are comfortable or not. Sam is such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!). I truly enjoyed interacting with him throughout the tour. He was our driver/guide but became very good friend over the time. My wife and I was worried about the new place considering we were travelling with small daughter but the way Sam deals with the necessity and gives a helping hand in managing her was coomandable. He has vast knowledge of the places we travelled and gives good insights about the same which adds cheery on the top. The atmosphere is Sri Lanka is so special that it really felt like home to all of us. All respect for Sam and Sachethana who does a great job there; a true sample of an excellent tour planned and a guide. Just finished a 7D6N tour with Ceylon Empire and I would definitely recommend them! Right from the beginning my tour coordinator Kithari was really helpful in helping me curate my itinerary to accomodate my 70 year old dad. In comparing their rates with other tours, I found Ceylon Empire to be incredibly price competitive without compromising quality of hotels, services and experiences. My tour guide was Onel who was thoughtful, kind and full of energy throughout our tour! He was attentive to my dad's needs (i.e. walking with him through hilly grounds) and would accommodate any request of ours to stop for food or visit a temple. The whole tour experience from my first Whatsapp till the end of my trip was lovely thanks to Kithari and Onel!!

Great day trip from Colombo. It’s a long 7-8 round trip from Colombo but we felt in safe hands with Onel as our driver. He met us promptly at 6.30am for the transfer to Sigiriya. Very comfortable AC car. Onel made sure we got our tickets at the Sigiriya entrance and we did the walk by ourselves. It’s an incredible place. Lunch was in a traditional Sri Lankan rural house cooked on wood burning stoves. We were shown how it was prepared and also helped grind coconut and rice. After that there was the silk then batik and then gem stone demonstrations. These as expected have shops attached. We chose to skip the gemstones and Onel kindly respected that. He also on request kindly found us a mango seller. They were delicious! Last stop was the Cave temple… just incredible! It’s quite expensive but a fantastic day which was well organised.

I found the service and response of this travel agency to be excellent, Ms Pabasara is the travel planner has proven to be very courteous and helpful from the very beginning till we back to our country. Great guider and very professional. The planning and timing by Ms Pabasara was great. Accommodation was also good at 3,4 and 5 star hotels. The package was reasonable. Mr Subashana was our tour driver.He is very knowledgable and English is good. He explains all the history very well and brought us to all the places that we requested. Isurika was my Sri Lanka holiday planner, she dealt with my itinerary for the whole 9 days from hotel, to excursions to driver to everything that made my holiday amazing. Just AMAZING. The country is breath taking and Isurika planned an itinerary that allowed me to visit parts of the country in a circle, starting from Negambo, Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Bentota and Kandy to experience how beautiful the place is. My family and I were in awe. The nature and the natural beauty is preserved and hopefully it stays that way. The hotels isurika picked out for us was perfect for our kids and us and all provided halal food. Our driver, Roshan, was amazing. Extremely hospitable, catered to our needs, showed us more places than the itinerary, showered us with love, baby sat our sons 12 and 8 whilst we were able to enjoy activities we wanted to do alone and gifted us as we left too. The trip was smooth, awesome, and all I can say, it is a must visit. The photos do not do justice.
