We had a fantastic 7- day tour of the main cultiral sights of Sri Lanka organised by Luxtraveller. The itenary was custom made and included Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, Badulla, Kandy and Ella. The whole trip exceeded all of my expectations. Everything was really perfect, starting from the plan to it's execution.

To judge Shehan solely as a driver would be hugely unfair. For the record, I can write that he performs fantastically in this role. He is focused on the road but at the same time gives his attention to his passengers. Traffic in Sri Lanka is challenging, but I spent just under two weeks as a passenger by his side and felt more comfortable than with any other driver ever before. He follows all the rules, has a high driving culture and it was a great pleasure to traverse this unique island with him. However, the most important thing about Shehan is the kind of person he is. He is an incredibly polite, friendly, open and communicative guy. He has a very extensive knowledge of Sri Lanka and beyond, you can talk to him about literally any subject and have a lot of laughs in the process. He knows loads of people in every town, can always recommend a great place for lunch and has all the attractions in his little finger. We just returned from a Life trip to Sri Lanka. My friend and I (2 females from New Zealand) recently travelled to Sri Lanka for 2 weeks. Thanks to this page, I found Sheehan from Lux Traveller. He was fantastic. He met us at the airport (close to midnight) and was efficient and professional throughout. His driving was excellent. We felt safe the whole time (the usual driving in Sri Lanka is not at the safety level that we are used to in NZ. Sheehan however was incredibly safe). October 2023 - our 20th anniversary - surprise trip for my husband. I couldn't get answear from another tourist company (waiting more than a week for reply) than on Friday (one day before flight) i contacted Sheehan and - after 1 hour i had a plan of one week Sri Lanka trip! Very convenient & fast contact on What's App. I felt like it's a gift from above :-))) Everything was great, lot's of attractions and flexibility of our tourist guide. He is very kind, polite and taking care of us all the time, advising, talking about his country with great english. He knew it was a stress for me to organise it in so short time, so ayurveda massage was great option :-) On our wedding anniversary we saw our car full of red baloons (heart shape) and a frame with our photo in a frame - so sweet :) we didn't expect that - thank You Sheekhan! He also gave us many advises about hotels, traditions, money etc. We couldn't have had better tourist guide for that time!

Returning to the paradise island after 20 years was an amazing experience. On the one hand, it is still the same island, full of natural charms and incredibly hospitable people. On the other hand, it is a place where you can see that people started investing their savings collected during the civil war - new hotels of a very decent standard and price, restaurants and shopping centers comparable to those in Europe. Despite knowing the main attractions on the island, we decided, for our own convenience and to save time (because you explore differently within 5 months of time and you do it differently when having only 10 days) a local guide - Shehan Fernando and his company LuxtravellerSriLanka. Shehan demonstrated great organization, communication skills and punctuality. He arranged the plan in accordance with the points we expected, but also suggested new places that I had not had the opportunity to visit before. We will be happy to use his services on our next visit to Sri Lanka in the future.

The best tourist guide, also found a Friend!! I came to Colombo with my mother who is 81 years old and with my girlfriend. Shehan is by far the best driver we had during our trip to Sri Lanka! We did two separate tours with Shehan. On the first day, we visited Sigriya rock & museum, followed by a visit to Dumbulla temple. During the car ride, Shehan made excellent conversation and was very knowledgeable about Sri Lanka as a whole. He suggested places to stop of our interest / great photo opportunities. (We even saw an elephant bathing in a river - something we would never have found on our own!) On our second day, despite having torrential rainfall - Shehan showed up with a great attitude (and equipped with Umbrellas), we set off to visit Kandy. This consisted of a spice garden tour, tea factory tour, Royal botanical gardens, temple of the Sacred tooth relic and multiple view points along the way. Again, his conversation & knowledge were great and his intricate ways of maneuvering through back streets made for a smooth trip. To put it in one word: Amazing! We now know we probably crushed a 10-day trip into a 6-day trip, given the amount of things we wanted to do in Sri Lanka to make the most of our honeymoon...
