The security personnel at the entrance displayed very rude and unprofessional behavior. A hotel's first impression is vital and should always prioritize the customer. Morvel Hotel Colombo is a decent place to stay, especially if you are looking for a comfortable hotel with a beautiful beach view. One of the best things about the hotel is the view from the property, which makes the stay more relaxing and enjoyable. Watching the beach and enjoying the surroundings gives the hotel a pleasant atmosphere.
The food is also good, and I particularly enjoyed the breakfast and dinner options. The quality and taste were satisfying, making it convenient to have meals at the hotel itself.
The rooms are comfortable and well suited for two people. However, one thing to keep in mind is that the hotel does not allow more than two members to stay in a room, so larger groups or families may need to book additional rooms accordingly.

A wonderful stay from start to finish. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained, with a relaxing atmosphere throughout. The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to assist, which made us feel genuinely welcome.

My family really enjoyed our stay here! The food was delicious, and the rooftop bar was excellent! My husband and I enjoyed the vibes while sipping on cocktails. Very convenient location too, since we got to visit all the tourist spots on our brochure from here in no time at all.
Located at the VERY HEART of the city. You can get to pretty much anywhere in colombo in just a few minutes (Port city, Colombo City Hotels, Malls, Pettah Bus and Railway station, etc). The staff were welcoming. The rooms were nice and cozy. I believe for the price you pay, this room and the added benefits is a steal. UNFORTUNATELY, we had the loudest neighbours in the entire floor and it did ruin the stay since. Please be mindful when travelling.
Despite this, the rooftop bar (Treehouse Rooftop bar - which will have its seperate review) was breathtaking. Loved the atmosphere and staff. The cocktails were 10/10 and we really enjoyed how cozy the place was. Do check them out.
