A beautiful hotel with some history. Most of the rooms are a little smaller, but very well thought out and functional. Simple, clean, and inviting. Not all the rooms have AC, yuck. But it was still a nice and comfortable visit.
If public transportation is your preferred way of getting around, it’s totally possible from this location but somewhat clunky.
THE best part of our stay was the staff. What a wonderful and inviting crew of people working this hotel. A true gem of a group.

I always write reviews but this is different. I would give this hotel 10 stars if I could. We all expect a standard of course, but it is only when we need help do we really appreciate and value the people at a hotel. The hotel itself was a church and maintains the stained windows Nadins beautiful. However, for first time in my life, I left my phone in the taxi. Extremely stressful hour as it turned out, but was made better and easier with the help of Suzanna , Nik and Christophe! All was sorted but I cannot write/explain enough , the thanks and appreciation I have for them. I go to Cologne every year to FIBO, always changing the hotel to see different areas. Next April I will be back here if not before because when you receive and see wonderful, helpful people like this, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you and God Bless!
Beautiful converted monastery, great breakfast choices with good coffee. Single room was comfortable and very clean. Public transit and shops are nearby, but still feels rustic.
OK let’s start with the obvious…parking is virtually non existent BUT it says so on the Hotels website. When we arrived the receptionist was getting moaned at by a customer who was complaining about no parking quite loudly. The receptionist was calm and courteous throughout the whole complaint even though the customer was wrong.
OK let’s get to the hotel, wow it is very quiet, the rooms are very nice with comfortable beds.
The breakfast is really something else 😊. The selection is huge and the dining room looks amazing with the massive stained glass windows.
My new favourite hotel in Köln.
