Guests receive reduced admission rates for the spa, and can also hire bathrobes and slippers. The Bell Arte breakfast restaurant includes a conservatory and terrace. Guests can try local snacks and Kolsch beers in the rustic Bierstube Dux, or enjoy international drinks in the Accanto Bar. Koelnmesse Underground Station is just in front of the Dorint Hotel. I experienced the Dorint in the somewhat surreal context of the international video games event, Gamescom. As the nearest hotel to the Kolnmesse, the Dorint is an incredible location to meet key industry people.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, despite the madness. The two bars were full but the drinks were very reasonably priced and the coffee was delicious.
I can't vouch for the rooms as I didn't see them, but I can attest that their gym is very neat, spacious and well-appointed.
So if you are a delegate at an international conference looking for a high-quality hotel with great staff, the Dorint is the place for you!
I went there for 1 night with my 5 yo to escape from the heat while being pregnant. Very nice people. Room was fine. Airconditioning went on and off in the night (was super hot, but maybe I just didn t get it), swimming pool very basic. Gym looked great. Restaurant was super good and amazing owner who made us feel extremely well. Just the breakfast of 30€ is really unnecessarily high. We didn t take it if course!
Poor price-to-performance ratio. They charge extra to use the gym, even if your booking states that gym access is included. There is no phone in the room, so you can’t contact reception or request any services. The room was not clean—the bathroom and the carpet were both dirty. I traveled here for business and would not recommend this hotel at all.
Great hotel on the outskirts of the city, really nice spacious modern rooms, stayed here for 3 days and would definitely stay here again. Huge amount of choice for breakfast. You won't regret staying here.
Booked four nights much ahead of the show FIBO. Arrived at 1130am, and the staff was supportive and provided me the room. She upgraded me to a better room. Clean and neat room. Iron and iron box was of good quality. One bottle free drinking water was provided. The room is spacious and with all standard amenities. Close to the messe and koln messe station.
