Paddle Along The Cinque Terre

Guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history and geology. He took us to swimming holes and caves you would not be able to see anywhere except the water.

My friend and I went on a kayak tour on May 21, 2026 at 9:00 am with Giuliano as our guide. It was an amazing kayak experience that took us from Monterosso to Vernaza! Giuliano was a fantastic guide with great knowledge on the history of the area. I would highly recommend booking this kayak adventure! Giuliano took some pictures and a video of us kayaking. I’m really hoping he can send those to me. Can you advise me how we can obtain these. We didn’t think to give him our email contact. Thank you

Do not purchase this tour! We were scheduled today, and the tour operator was a no show. We attempted to contact them and they did not respond. Viator attempted to contact them and also got no response.

Juliano was very knowledgeable and informative in terms of the sights he brought us to and also safety when paddling. We were very lucky that it was a sunny and beautiful day and it just so happened that it was only the two of us with him, so it felt like our own private tour. We were also first-timers and Juliano was patient with teaching us how to paddle. I would highly recommend Juliano as he is truly an expert in what he does.

We booked last minute (day before) through Trip Advisor with Giuliano. He was very kind and made a trip for just my friend and I. He's the only one running trips right now (March 8), even though the weather is great for kayaking! Most kayaking tours/rentals in the Cinque Terre area don't open until April! Giuliano took us along the coast from Monterosso past Vernazza and back over 4 hours. We stopped at Vernazzo with plenty of time to grab an ice cream. Giuliano shares just the right amount of history, geology, and biology, while also allowing for the silence of the ocean. Book this kayak trip with Giuliano!!! He runs a fun, safe trip and is an amazing guide!

The kayaking lead by Giuliano was amazing! He is a very experienced paddler and well organized. This was more than just a kayak tour - we learned so much about Cinque Terre and even got to explore caves! You get to see the land/villages from a completely different perspective. This was the highlight of our trip :)

We had a great time paddling with our kayak under the guidance of Giuliano along the coast of Cinque Terre, past beautiful cliffs and small caves. Especially the beautiful spot Giluliano selected for a short swimming break was absolutely stunning and one of the few places at Cinque Terre not crowded at all. Definitely recommend doing a kayak tour with Giuliano!

Super! We loved it! We had a mix of adults and kids with various experience levels . Our guide was so nice and patient and made us feel very safe. He told us history and took us to enchanted coves for swimming and exploring. Highly recommend this !

We enjoyed learning about the history of the area. In particular, the information regarding the terracing for crops and wine was very interesting.

From the initial paddling and safety instructions to the wealth of local history shared to his friendly accommodating personality, our guide was fantastic. Despite it being my wife's first time in a kayak and that I got seasick along the way, we still had a wonderful time. The vistas are incredible, and paddling is always fun. A fair warning though: even on a calm day if you're prone to seasickness or susceptible to sunburn, you should prepare for them on this tour.

We booked the shorter 3hr paddle, being from Scotland we were not used to the 30c temperatures. Guiliano was great at communicating before the trip, he asked about our experience, told us where to meet and made the whole thing simple from the start. We paddled from Monterosso to beyond Vernazza and back, Guiliano gave us lots of interesting facts about the history, ecology and geology of the Cinque Terre as we wre going. We had time for an easy paddle, visits to caves, deserted coves, We even had the exciting experience of seeing a huge tuna fish chasing some small fish right in front of us. Guiliano gave us tips about our technique and always made sure we were safe. His English is perfect which helped us immensely. We highly recommend using Guiliano if you want a proper sea kayaking experience in the Cinque Terre.

We had a great time with Giuliano on the Cinque Terre kayak tour! We really enjoyed listening to his stories about the history of the land and talking with him. We also got views of Cinque Terre that you can only get by kayak, which were stunning! He was supportive of all people's kayaking abilities. He brought us to a beautiful secluded rock beach where he served us a fantastic lunch with amazing local food. Everything was really great. Would recommend to anyone!

A unique opportunity to discover the beauty of a wild coast, with breathtaking views and charming fishing villages

This experience was a discover and a surprise for me and my girlfried! I am a skilled kayaker who have been playing kayak for years, my girfriend enjoy the kayak sometimes. We love the see so we decided to have a different experience during a journey planned to the famous Cinque Terre. Giuliano welcomed us at Monterosso in the morning and gave us all the stuff for the trip: life jackets, paddles and brand-new kayaks. The group consisted of me, my girlfriend and 2 guys from New Zeland; after a briefing about the trip and the plan of the day we got ready to start (I have to say that Giuliano was really professional, explaining us all safety instructions and entertaining when he introduced shortly how to paddle to the other 2 guys). The trip was AMAZING: wonderful weather, sunny and warm and the landscapes we saw of Monterosso, Vernazza and Corniglia from the see were princeless. Nobody can understand the wonderfulness of these rare places if you don't see them by your own eyes. During the trip Giuliano told us a lot of historical information about the 5 little hamlets and the traditions of local people who live there; moreover we visited some little caves on the see and rare waterfall during the excursion. I bring with me a very pleasant remembers of that day. The Cinque Terre is a beautiful place to visit, even more by the see. Thanks to Giuliano! Nicola

Cinque Terre are magical, even in winter! Sunny days are not rare in Liguria, and if you can be out in kayak during one of them, Cinque Terre is probably the best place you can be :)) I've tried this tour in summer as well, and it is great to avoid the confusion of the hords of tourists that are inevitable if you visit the towns by land. The whole experience is really genuine and revealing, especially if you try local "focaccia" and listen with attention to the stories of the guide. Even if it was not our first time in 5 terre we had a blast! Totally recomended :)
