Veronica was a great guide. Shared the history and culture, recommended the best places for food and wine and had an itinerary planned to maximize the time. Thank you!

Excellent way to see the Cinque Terre from a cruise ship. Take a taxi to and from the train station meeting point. Veronica assisted us in buying train tickets and then carefully made sure our group of 10 got on and off at the correct stops. She shared interesting information at each village and then gave us free time to explore. Also took the ferry for one section of the trip.
This is the second time my Viator trip has been cancelled last minute, this time because the guide was not aware of the trip by Viator. The first time was in Venice. I will never use Viator again.
Beautiful views. Be aware that walking is uneven and there are some steep inclines if you have any concerns with mobility. We loved that we got to experience the train and a boat as we went to the various destination’s. Our tour guide Veronica was knowledgeable about the area and we had just the right amount of time at each location to get a feel of the area and a little walking around on our own. Great way to see places if you don’t have more than a couple days in the area.
Visiting Cinque Terre was truly a wonderful experience. Besides all the lovely towns we got to visit we had the nicest and caring tour guide with Veronica. It became a private tour for the 4 of us since the other people canceled. She gave us options on what our preferences were on train versus ferry or both? My husband had some issues in walking a lot and it was hot. She always made sure we could find comfortable places in the shade to rest up. Veronica was also very knowledgeable on all the places we visited. I highly recommend Viator as a tour company and especially recommend Veronica to add to thexperience.
This was a great excursion! So beautiful. We swam at Monterossa and it was absolutely wonderful! Veronica was very informative and a fantastic guide.
Loved Veronica. She was excellent. First time using this site and everyone has been great and professional.
Fantastic trip. Veronica was very detailed and knowledgeable in cultural detail. She took exceptional care of all of us.
Very satisfied with our Cinque Terre tour experience. Our guide, Veronica, knows Cinque Terre very well. She is fully capable to agreeably tailor-make (adjust) the tour if weather or other circumstances arise. She assisted with train ticket purchase. Veronica gave narrative of each town and allowed time for self strolling / shopping. The tour pace was sufficient. She led the tour to areas (views) we would not have found touring on our own. Veronica gave very good restaurant and shop recommendations.
We spent our first day in Cinque Terre taking the Classic CinqueTerre Tour with Veronica. It was a great way to not only get to know the 5 towns, but also become comfortable with the trains, ferry system and public bathrooms. As we walked around, we learned about each town, and were given suggestions as to where to eat what during our lunch break. Veronica was a great tour guide. We felt very comfortable afterwards to take on the long hiking trails the following days on our own.
This was a really great day! We really enjoyed the history and beauty of the tour. Veronica did a really nice job explaining everything. Only negative for some people was that the ferry ride was quite difficult for many due to the rough sea. For those of us that were ok with the waves, we were not able to see the beauty of the view from the ferry since the boat was rocking so much.
What an amazing day. Veronica was great, informative, and so helpful. This was so much better than trying to see everything on our own. She helped us navigate the trains and the ferry. We were a small group of 12 to 15 people. She kept us all together and directed us where we needed to be. Myself and one of the members of our party have food allergies. She pointed us in the right direction for a nice lunch where they accommodated our issues.
It was an amazing place with absolutely gorgeous views!! Our tour guide did a great job of explaining things and also gave us some time to do what we wanted.
Veronica was an excellent guide. Very caring and detail oriented. She was meticulous about the train and ferry transfers, which everyone appreciated. She was knowledgeable and kind and the tour, (despite crowds) was extremely well handled. A convenient way to see three of the five villages of the Cinque Terre.
Veronica was awesome! She made sure everything went smoothly with our train and ferry transfers to each village. Very knowledgeable guide with great information!
Wonderful tour of 4 out of the 5 villages of Cinque Terra. Lots and lots of walking and stairs but so worth it. Our guide Veronica was so amazing and helpful. Highly recommend this tour.
A great way to visit several of the smaller villages across the coastline. We used the train system (the train tickets are not included in the tour price). In warmer months, you’ll also travel by boat, we did not. This was a condensed tour. Friendly, English speaking tour guide. Nice way to see a bit of each village.
We enjoyed having Veronica as our guide! We were a group of 4 friends, so Veronica explained our options- we could travel by train or boat or a combination of the two. We chose the combination and really liked that. Veronica gave us information about each town we stopped at and a great place to eat lunch! We had a little drama on our tour as I lost my purse (left it on the boat). Veronica took charge and was able to contact the boat company. They found my purse and we met them when the boat returned. Nothing was missing from my purse! Thanks to Veronica’s quick action, I got my purse back and continued to enjoy the rest of the tour. Thank you so much Veronica!!!
Veronica had a lot of interesting information about the region which made the tour a learning opportunity we relished. She gave us tips on where to eat and more importantly, where not to! Unfortunately the ferries weren’t running as the sea was too rough so we went by train. We were joined by a very nice American couple so it was a great experience for us.
We reserved the tour well in advance, paid in full, received email confirmations, and woke up early and took a taxi from our cruise ship to the meeting spot. We had trouble finding Veronica and asked around only to find out she had sent a message 23 minutes before the start time of the tour that “the date was unavailable”. No further explanation or apology was ever given. Unprofessional and so rude! Cinque Terre itself is not to be missed, but we had a very difficult time managing our day never having been to Italy, not having internet access, and having children with us. Still, we made the most of a terrible start, and it was a wonderful day exploring the towns by train and ferry.
Great trip to see the villages in Cinque Terre very interesting see see how they lived back then and today. Our guide was very informative and easy to understand
This was an amazing experience. Our guide Veronica was exceptional, providing the history of the region and all the separate villages. Nothing was too much trouble for her and made the experience so easy and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Veronica and this experience.
Great excursion with Veronica. Visited 3 of the 5 villages. A little short on time on our own, but would recommend
We booked this tour expecting a boat tour. But it was predominantly by train. Although it does say in the app it wasn’t totally clear that you have to pay for the ferry and train ticket on top of the tour price. This makes it extremely expensive. The tour was €160 for two and all we got for that was a guided walk. In all the trip cost us €260 and was not worth it. Veronica was very pleasant and informative. But we could easily have done the tour On our own. You also only get a guided walk of 3 of the villages.
Veronica made this day the perfect balance of carefree, relaxing, and fun. She took the worry out of traveling in a foreign country and it was like having a friend with you that was an expert. She provided interesting information about the beautiful Cirque Terre towns, excellent recommendations to eat, and free time to explore. It was a lovely day! Thank you so much Veronica!
It was an excellentl tour! Our tour guide Veronica was exceptional!!! We would highly recommend this to anyone going to Cinque Terre.
This is a spectcular site, the Cinque Terre is a must see. The tour was ok. We bought the train and boat tickets, it was fun to ride a train and boat in Italy. The guide was OK, We had good information on the first town, but after that, it was like on your own, not much info.
Veronica was excellent. She was personable and very knowledgeable. Tour was quite thorough but not rushed.
Veronica was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job leading our group and teaching us about Cinque Terre.
Veronica was a wonderful guide. She met us at the train station in La Spezia, and walked us through how to purchase our train tickets for the day. We stopped in 3 different towns, with the option to visit a 4th or 5th on our own at the end of the tour. She provided us with free time in each town, and walked us through purchasing our ferry tickets, too. Without Veronica, we would have probably been able to find our way into each town, but would not have learned any of the history and would have missed out on a lot. We appreciated having her as our guide. The small group option (there were 3 of us, and another family of 3), meant it was easy to follow and hear her without feeling lost or like you were just following a big group from place to place. I would definitely use her services again in the future.
Cinque terre is a string of five beautiful coastal towns / villages along the Ligurian coastline in Italy, which can be reached via the trainline or ferry. We met with the guide at the La Spezia centrale station, as mentioned in the voucher. We then took an all day train ticket (50 euros / person) and set off to Manarola. After a quick tour of the beautiful village, we took the ferry (15 euros / person) to Vernazza, followed by train again to Monterosso, the biggest of the towns. All the towns were exquisitely scenic with beautiful rivieras, colourful houses and terraced farms on the hilltops. The guide was very knowledgeable, explaining the unique features and the traditions of the towns in detail and leaving us some time to explore ourselves. Although it was mentioned that the price did not include train or ferry tickets. it was not obvious from the description that we were paying over £50 per person just for the guide's services. We were also slightly disappointed that we ended up visiting only 3 out of the "5 lands".
Very comprehensive tour. Veronica was terrific. Enjoyed the pace and variety of the tour. Something for everyone. We were a group of 4 ages 15, 18, 69 and 76.
Victoria was excellent. Such a beautiful area. Would highly recommend. She told us about a great place to eat. It was wonderful.
Veronica was very knowledgeable about all things Cinque Terre. We enjoyed all he main sites and a few extra, she also recommended some eateries one of which we enjoyed a terrific meal over looking the bay.
Wonderful day out (3/4 day) with Veronica, our knowledgeable & thoughtful tour guide, who’s local in this Liguria area. My 2 aunts & I (together with 6 others) enjoyed her warmth and candour as she gave highlights of CT as a whole and individual villages - past, present & future. Practical on timing our visits to various villages by train / ferry to avoid crowds (where possible). She personalised her approach based on our tastes / preferences. She recommended places we could try - local cuisine. She also surprised us with a snack and drink unique to this region (you’ll find out more if you meet her!). A memorable day .. grazie Veronica ♥️
Be prepared to walk up stairs to get to see amazing scenery. The towns are charming and food is fantastic.
We had a great day with Veronica She is very knowledgeable and helpful not only about our tour but other questions about train travel and ferry scheduling. She also had a great sense of humour
From La spezia train station very easy to find Veronica. She took us via train to Riomaggiore. Then toured the village which was lovely. Ferry to Vernazza. Spectacular views of the Cinqua Terra villages from the water. The train to Monterosso. Best and easiest village to get around. Great tour. Well worth while
Thank you Veronica for a wonderfull day. I would recomend this tour it was very informative and she was very patient with us allowing time for individual exploration in each town.
Really wonderful and easy way to experience Cinque Terre. Veronica was an amazing guide and being a small group made it very enjoyable. We had plenty of time to experience each township. Highly recommend.
Very knowledgeable guide, we had a great day travelling by ferry and train! We really appreciated our time with Veronica!
Veronica cares about us having a great experience and has everything planned out perfectly! We had enough time to see all the good spots. Thank you for the perfect day!
Veronica was great. Enjoyed the beautiful villages of the Cinque Terre. Had plenty of time to see and shop along the way.
Great guide , Enough time to explore, beautiful part of the world, got to see most towns by train or ferry
We got to see some beautiful villages along the coast of Cinque Terre with our guide, Veronica. Veronica was a great guide. She spoke English well. She was adaptable to the desires of the group. We used the train and took one ferry ride. The train/national park pass and the ferry ride were not included in the tour price. I thought our tour was going to be a private tour for our group of 5, but it was a small group of about 10-12. There were other people from our cruise ship in the group. I thought the price was a little high for the tour. But I didn't find a better option. I'm glad we did the tour.
Veronica our tour guide was wonderful. She explained everything clearly & provided interesting information. Cinque Terre is absolutely beautiful. We had the best day & will have wonderful memories if this spectacular destination.
We had the most awesome tour guide in Veronica. She was so knowledgeable and patient. She involved everyone in our group, no one got left behind.
Our guide was knowledgeable of the area. She knew her way around the ferry and train systems which made for relaxing experience. She knew the back alleys of the towns and left us plenty of free time to explore. Flexible itinerary. Great experience.
Veronica made the trip so wornderful. She was very knowledgeable and made it very interesting. Disappointed that we were not able to do the water part of the tour due to rough sea.
We were 15 minutes late because we couldn’t get a cab from the cruise terminal (no one could we were all stuck!) and she left without us. We found out later she was still at the train station at the same time we got there, but never reached out to us. Poor communications… it took us 2hrs to meet up with the tour. It was an exasperating day!
